Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Morning!

How's everyone today? Rosie, OMG. :rotfl:

Jo, hope your carpets are OK. What a pain.

Janet, glad your busy day went well. Mine did, too!

We had a good first baseball game, though the opposing coach was a little on the um, intense side. This is first and second grade, the first level up from t-ball, so...

It was SO hot and sunny - I got a little tan going on my arms, but I was wearing sleeves, so it's kind of too bad. :rotfl2:

Then we ran home, changed clothes, took the dog out and then went to pick up lunch, garlic bread and wine, and the present for the birthday girl. Went to the party, it was fine (a bounce house place - though Woody said he got bored) and then on to Deb's for ravioli, salad, bread and wine! :goodvibes We tried to make it an earlier night, but we still were having too much fun and got home not until about 9:20.

Oh, and whilst at Deb's, I pulled two teeth. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: Woody and Deb's DD8 both had really loose 2nd left top teeth (the same one on both kids) and Woody asked me to pull his. Once I did, DD8 wanted it done, too. They match. :rotfl2:

Who needs a dental degree? :rotfl:

Anyway... Nothing much happening this morning. The boys slept in a tad. I slept in later. :rotfl:

They've done their homework and they're just playing. It's supposed to get to 92 today :scared: and then we have baseball practice with the pictures tonight at 6:00. They are doing "action shots" this year, and sending a photographer to each team's practice. In theory, I like this idea a LOT better than having 5 levels, of 6-10 teams each, converge on a school in one morning. However, since we had a game yesterday and have one tomorrow, too, I'm not thrilled about the laundry situation. In fact, I put the uniforms in last night and forgot to move them to the dryer, so I should go do that.

D gets home in the early evening, but has to leave the house again tomorrow morning at 4:30. Poor guy. He's actually going to sit in Philly all day. Janet, want to take him some lunch? ;) I think he goes to Sanford on Tuesday. Sometimes he hits DTD when he's around that area, but since it's Sanford and not MCO, I doubt it this time.

Hope you're all having a nice day. Laundry calls!

I can't believe it's Sunday already! My aunt and her husband were here Friday and I really think she should have been my mother as our views are much more similar. ;) At least she gives me validation that I'm not the only one who thinks my mother and grandmother are crazy.

We went to a Derby party which was nice although there were way too many people in the tiny house. Luckily Reid was with us so we didn't stay long.

I have a pile of books to read, but my mind is just not focusing. So I watched tennis and baseball today. :goodvibes

Mitch is able to call which is nice although he says he's ready to come home. That doesn't bode well as he has more time than I care to think of to go! He'll be fine once he's actually filling prescriptions again. :thumbsup2

It's supposed to be 90 all week, so I hope that means pool time is near! :woohoo:

I know I should know, but I'm getting confused... He's in Wisconsin now?

It's supposed to be 90 all week, so I hope that means pool time is near! :woohoo:

It was 88 here yesterday and supposed to be 82 today. It's already 72 and the inside of my house is still at 78. Sigh. "No, you won't need central air in NH, we don't get that hot." Bull. :headache: :rotfl:

*******************************
Not much going on here - hooray! I agreed to sub into the next level team tennis drills this morning. My Monday at noon day team drills have ended. The new spring night team is drilling at 6:30 on Monday nights, and I'll be very hit or miss for those, depending on D's schedule. D's trip got cancelled today, actually. But the boys still have a baseball game, so I won't go. I'd skip a practice if D is home, but not a game. ::yes::

Anyway, I'll get to the grocery store sans kids, and get to exercise, and...:banana::banana: :rotfl2: I do love my children, but I am SO looking forward to a normal-busy week, rather than the crazy-busy that's been happening ever since April 7th, when the book fair got going.

I hope you all have a great start to the week! :grouphug:

It's always good to have someone validate for you:thumbsup2:hug:

80's here, I'll take it!

I refuse to put the air on in May:headache:. We do have ceiling fans in our bedrooms as well as the living and dining rooms and the kitchen. They help.

Not much going on here - hooray!

Lucky;)

I hope you all have a great start to the week! :grouphug:

You too!

Morning all. POURING rain, so Jim's game has been rescheduled to Friday which doesn't really do anything to ease the schedule, just postpone it;).

Jim went to the job fair on Saturday and put his resume in at 8 different schools. Two he felt really good about (They {PRE}interviewed right on the spot). One is another middle school and the other is a specialized school. It is only 8th graders. 100 kids. THese are the kids that "fell through the cracks". THey aren't the troublemakers and they aren't the specail needs kids, but they got left back and are now 15 and in 8th grade. They fast track them and then get them into the better HS's in the city. This is RIGHT up Jim's alley. I really hope he gets it because he has to get out of where he is. FIghts every day, fire alarms pulled 5 times in the last 2 weeks. The stress is either gonna kill him or get him fired because he is going to punch the principal in the face becasue she does absolutely nothing!

Did I tell you all that Jimmy got student of the week last week and the week before (ALthough I think the one from the week before was a sympathy thing because he was in the hospital;))

That's it from me. I'm sure I will check in later:hug:

Morning! Less than a week till our little WDW trip for Leo's Bday... can you tell I'm excited?!:banana::banana:

Hope all is well in Fockerland. :grouphug:

I love those days too. :thumbsup2

The new job sounds so much better. I had no idea his current school was so bad. Good luck to him.

Yea, Jimmy! :dance3: Sometimes it doesn't matter why he gets picked. ;)

Morning! Less than a week till our little WDW trip for Leo's Bday... can you tell I'm excited?!

Whoohooty! :cool1:

I joined the Y this morning now I actually have to go! Yoga, spin and water aerobics seem the most interesting to be although Zoomba is offered as well. Never done that before but sounds fun. I have also heard good things about pil-yoga, so maybe I should try that too. :goodvibes

Hello Ladies.

I am back to a sort of normal day today. Got up with KC this morning. He is doing a 12-8 shift all week so he can learn the evening stuff at work. So far all I have done is catch up on the internet and there is a list of household stuff I have to get to.

I also haven't heard from my census crew leader AT ALL yet. I knew they were behind but JEEZ! I want Tracy to be my crew leader!

I probably can't work until Wed because of stuff going on but it would be nice to at least know who my boss is.

We were all set to go grocery shopping last night and when we were leaving we realized the elevator was out and carrying the stuff 5 flights wasn't gonna happen so we are going tonight and today I am scrounging for food.

Ok I better get off my butt and do some work. Have a great day everyone!

He's in Indiana.

Then where?

The new job sounds so much better. I had no idea his current school was so bad. Good luck to him.

Thanks. It's just been since this principal came in 2 years ago. He was hoping it would get better...it hasn't:sad2:

Yea, Jimmy! :dance3: Sometimes it doesn't matter why he gets picked. ;)

Too true. He was quite proud of himself:thumbsup2

Sounds good. Do you get a discount becasue of Mitch? It's so expensive here for the Y. Family Membership is over $1K :faint:

Ahhhhh, the federal government at work;) Hope you hear something soon!

. Have a great day everyone!

Hope your carpets are ok and they catch the people who did it!
They are and not yet!!!

Woohooo, just you and Leo or others???

Is he enjoying the new job???

Another rainy day here :sad2: I tried phoning the carpet people this morning but it just kept ringing so I called another store who told me that luckily the carpet isn't kept in the burnt store but as all the paper work is there it was 90% certain that it wouldn't happen. Anyway we go out for a while and come back to a message saying that yes it would  So I've spent all afternoon stripping carpets, hoovering and gluing gripper boards back down :thumbsup2

Oh and I had my first disaster with my bread maker today. The girls wanted to make dough for rolls so we set it all up and 2 hours later when it was finished just found a yucky mess, I couldn't work out why it went wrong until I saw the stirrer bit sitting on the side rather than in the bottom of the breadmaker :rotfl2: So for 2 hours I'd just been warming up flour :rotfl2: Oh well :rotfl:

David has lit a fire tonight as I've told him once the new carpets are fitted he can't have another one till we find a rug and he knows how long I take to choose things so it'll be awhile

I refuse to put the air on in May:headache:. We do have ceiling fans in our bedrooms as well as the living and dining rooms and the kitchen. They help.

Since we have 7 1/2 foot ceilings (don't get me started) we can't really do ceiling fans. Maybe those really tight ones would work, but I can easily touch the ceiling just reaching up and stretching, so... I don't want to lose my head. :rotfl: We have 4 of the window fans that can either bring in or exhaust air, and particularly when the window A/C is on downstairs, it really helps in the upstairs bedrooms. However, it's a big ordeal to get the unit in, and it would never fail that if D puts it in now, we'll need the heat on next week. ;) He usually gets it in more like Father's Day.

Jim went to the job fair on Saturday and put his resume in at 8 different schools.

Hope it works out.

:rotfl:I do too! He's in Indiana.

Pshew. ;)

Good girl! A bunch of my high school friends sing praises about Zumba all the time on FB - I've never done it. I have a lot of friends here who like the pilates/yoga combo. ::yes::

I also haven't heard from my census crew leader AT ALL yet. I knew they were behind but JEEZ! I want Tracy to be my crew leader!

I probably can't work until Wed because of stuff going on but it would be nice to at least know who my boss is.

Frustrating. Hope you find something out soon!

Sounds good. Do you get a discount becasue of Mitch? It's so expensive here for the Y. Family Membership is over $1K :faint:

Huh. The Y around here is considered the "cheap" option (though I can't remember how much it is) but there's also the factor that everything else is SO expensive. I don't remember what we paid to "join" our club - though I know we got a discount for having whatever health insurance we had at the time - but our monthly rate is fairly pricey. Still, for what we do there, and the facilities they have, I don't mind. :thumbsup2

******************************************
So...

Played the tennis, which was really good. I went to the grocery store, then came home. I had a long conversation with Dr. Belle on Friday, and she inspired me. She was walking the half-marathon in our college town (by where our parents live, too) and was saying how she didn't train as much for it this year because she's lost 24 pounds! WOOHOO! She does still have 20 to go, she says, but still. Anyway, she said she'd downloaded a "couch to 5K" app on her iPod Touch, which is huge - no matter that she walked for 13 miles, I don't know that I've EVER seen her run, and we've been friends since we were 4. :rotfl2:

Anyway, while I'm not exactly at "couch" I have pretty much dropped everything but tennis, and it's definitely affecting me. So, I downloaded it too, and did the first day of that program when I got the groceries put away. It was a half hour deal, where they let you pick songs you want, and play the songs, but a chime goes off and a guy tells you when you should walk, then run, etc. :thumbsup2 Then I ate a very healthy lunch  and then D wanted to go for a walk with the dog, so we walked another probably 1.5 miles just now.

I'm stinky and sweaty, and I might not be able to move later, but I'm feeling good. :goodvibes

The kids will be home soon. There's supposed to be a baseball game at 6:00, but there are also supposed to be scattered t-storms all afternoon and evening, so we'll see. The sun's not be out much, but it's 80, and the clouds are certainly in full force.

Wednesday :thumbsup2

Then where?
Germany. I have no idea of the dates all of this is to occur which is probably better right now. ;)

Sounds good. Do you get a discount becasue of Mitch?
Whilst he's on active duty, it's free. :thumbsup2 Of course I have to go 8 times a month or I'm dropped. I need that kind of motivation.

How cold is it there?

Since we have 7 1/2 foot ceilings (don't get me started) we can't really do ceiling fans.
We have 8, so I try to keep the air on 78 although it's still warm sometimes. We need new windows and a new front door with better insulation because our energy bill is crazy!

She was walking the half-marathon in our college town (by where our parents live, too) and was saying how she didn't train as much for it this year because she's lost 24 pounds!
Wow! My doctor told me to do a marathon to lose weight. Yes, right. :rolleyes1

I have had a terrible headache all day. :headache: Actually broke out the real Coke in the hopes that that would help. Not so much, but at least I can veg and not feel bad. Laundry and cleaning take no time at all. I am trying to decide if I should iron the handful of Mitch's clothes that need it or wait until next year when he comes home because they will all need to be washed again. :confused3 I was asking my BIL what he thought, and he was all, that's not something I would have ever considered. :rotfl:

Morning! Less than a week till our little WDW trip for Leo's Bday... can you tell I'm excited?!:banana::banana:

Everything is fine here !!Weather has been nice and I am cracking out the capris and shorts !!:banana: Have fun for Leos birthday in WDW!!!!!

Si it's Census work you are doing !!!! How is it ???? I wouldn't be walking up 5 flights of stairs either :scared1::scared1:

We desperately need new windows. A friend tonight at baseball, too, said that she reinsulated her attic last winter and things got a LOT better.

I have had a terrible headache all day. :headache: Actually broke out the real Coke in the hopes that that would help. Not so much, but at least I can veg and not feel bad.

Feel better!

It's 7am and I have washed both comforters that the cat threw up on, put water and chlorine in the pool after getting the snake out! Luckily it was small. I was supposed to do something with a friend today, but she didn't call. Now I want to go to the Y, but the lady that handles the military applications wasn't there yesterday, and I forgot to ask what time she was going to be there today.
