I was looking for "mushroomy" pictures and found this from 7/2003. The boys were about 15 months at this point. Check out Woody's face! (The fish were new.)

Hey guys Im back finally!!!

the internet actually got hooked up yesterday but I was in Fairfield seeing Buttheads family for my birthday (well the day after)

but I am finally back!! :woohoo:

its so nice to b back on teh DIS!

So, we had our regular standing playgroup this morning, and then the boys and I ran some errands, so I wasn't at home as much today.

But, this is what it looked like when Cliff cleaned up and left for the day, around 5:00:

Getting closer! They decided that since our range is a simple freestanding one, they will go ahead and measure for the countertops tomorrow! :hyper:

I got an automated phone call from Sears after Cliff left, confirming my delivery for tomorrow. We had scheduled the delivery for next Monday, so I was most confused. When I finally got to a real person, it turns out they had the fridge in, and that was all they were going to bring, but I don't think we're ready to have it hooked up to the water line, leveled, etc. yet, so I wound up leaving it 'til next week. But, then they started claiming that the 13th (Mon.) wasn't available. :confused3 So, now they're all scheduled for next Tuesday.

Let me start out by saying I HATE SEARS. OK, now that I have that out of my system, The Kitchen looks wonderful:goodvibes

Priceless!
And the kitchen is looking great! Is that a lazy susan I see? I love mine--I have such short arms that I can't reach in the back of big cabinets!
Are you thinking about where to put stuff back in the cabinets? You'll have more room with the island now.

Hey Stephanie!!! We've been asking about you!!! Happy Birthday!!!! (and for the record, we said that on your ACTUAL birthday, but you were not connected!)
So........how's it goin' now???

Let me start out by saying I HATE SEARS. OK, now that I have that out of my system,
Yes. Me too.
I bought a washer/dryer set this past Dec and they refused to deliver it cause they said my driveway was too long--they wanted me to pick it up at the BOTTOM of my driveway........ IN MY MINIVAN????
So, I canceled the order and Lowes delivered it.......amazing huh?
(But I do like Sears/Kenmore products--just not the delivery guys)

OK, why? :) We bought our last couple of appliances from them and had no problems. Now I'm nervous, Janet, thanks a lot! :rotfl2:

I am totally trying to figure out where things go in the new cabinets! (It is a lazy susan, BTW - I'm so excited.) I was pregnant when we moved in and my MIL was the one helping us move. I think I just let her put things wherever, and through the years, I have wondered how on earth some of it ended up where it did. ;) I have MANY more drawers in the new arrangement, and some pantry drawers as well, so that my little-used appliances may go in the closet and the food can go in the kitchen! Amazing, I know!

Sorry about your Sears delivery experience. I am just still trying to figure out how we scheduled for 8/13 but now it's not available - but tomorrow was OK???

Oh, and thank you both for your nice comments on the fish picture! I just thought it was too funny, and had forgotten it existed...

Welcome aboard! :cool1: Have you posted your trip dates on our sister thread, Meet the DISers? There's an ongoing list there for Team Focker Watch so you can find others who will be in WDW the same time as you.

I hear ya. We move so much that the kids say "in my next room, I want a ......." And I cringe--cause I'm really tired of cardboard boxes. How far away is your fiance? That must be tough. I spent my last year of college in VA with my (now) DH in CT--it was a really long year, but it ended nicely with a wedding!

I am totally trying to figure out where things go in the new cabinets! (It is a lazy susan, BTW - I'm so excited.)
I really like organizing my cabinets! (and I move a lot so I get a lot of opportunities!) I start at the dishwasher and try to put dishes close to it for unloading purposes.......then I put away useless gadgets/cookware that someone else bought for me.... oh--first I lower all the cabinet shelves so I can reach the bottom two.

:goodvibes So, TFW--I am officially headed for Destin, Florida tomorrow.
So I am putting out a request for members in the following states: Carolina (North and south), TN, GA, AL, FL, and maybe Mississippi--I can't remember my route:confused: )----be on the look out for a green Mazda minivan with 5 people stuffed inside......holding mounds of luggage.....with fishing poles, crab nets, and boogie boards strapped to the top of it.

Should ANY of these priceless items become disconnected from said vehicle........
1. get out of the way.....cause it's probably going 80 mph
2. then go pick it up and holler at me--we'll turn back around.
3. Oh, and please have extra bungee cords, gatorade, and Chips Ahoy cookies available at each location. The chewy kind.

I'm tall, so that's not a problem for me. :) One thing I KNOW I'm moving is the glasses/mugs. I had dishes on one side of the sink and glasses on the other, and no one could ever find the glasses.

They are here right now making the templates for the quartz countertop!

So sorry your route doesn't take you through NH, but that would be a little out of the way!

Have a great drive if I don't chat with you beforehand. :goodvibes

luckily it actually is only 2 hours.. but about an hour and a half of it is thru windey, sometimes closed because of rock slides, hilly roads.. and hes talking about getting a house with his cousin.. and he wants me to move in there with him.. so I sit here thinking I know its not going to be for a while but i decorated this room for nothin... :confused3

Hey CE,
The kitchen looks great!!!WOW for 1 guy he certainly moves quick. I cant believe how much is done. And they are measuring for the quartz already:woohoo: . I have a dark counter top with light cabinets and it looks GREAT! I think you will like your choice to go dark. Keep us posted.
Oh and the pic of the boys with the new fish is sooo cute, thanks for sharing it with us.
Funny story about fish(at least I think so) We had a beta fish for about a year or so named SharkBait. Well he finally died and DS5 (who was 3 at the time) wanted to know where he went. We werent going to get into the he died thing with a barely 3 yr old so we told him Daddy took him to work to keep him company there. Well up until the other day whenever DS5 would go to work with DH he would look all over that place for SharkBait(boardroom, kitchen, everyones desks etc). Just the other day he spent the day with DH at the office and said "hey did SharkBait die yet, I dont think those fish live very long." :rotfl: :rotfl:

Happy Belated B-day Stefanie,:bday:
Hope you had a great day.
Where you moving that day??Or did you have time to celebrate?

:rotfl2: :lmao:

So, my fish story goes like this: those two were our original, $.69 goldfish. One passed on after just a week or so, so I got another. The "old" one and the "new" one got in a horrific fight (???) leaving them both torn up and bloody, and they both went bye-bye. We have a well and a septic system, so I wasn't flushing, I was putting them in the thick woods behind our house. The same week, my dog caught a chipmunk right in front of the neighbor's driveway, so I had to pick that up, as well, and toss it in the woods. I felt like the Grim Reaper for animals that week, I can tell you. :darth: (no grim reaper smilie, Darth will have to do!)

But, the fish made the kids happy, as evidenced by the pic. :rolleyes1
