Fighting sick kids... The only things worse is a sick hubby at home whining while the sick kids fight. ;) :lmao:

What is it with Kirt's new position that they call a meeting at the end of every dang day that lasts way past 5? :headache: Everyone else lives in town, he still has to drive 1.5 hours home.

Whining, ranting warning....

I know the market's bad and people aren't buying houses right now, but I'm telling you now, that after the trip, I'm going to have a hard time not getting upset. My family isn't used to travelling. The kids are whining and crying asking when they'll see daddy again. Every day at least one of them is having a hard time. Tantrums, crying because they miss daddy, fighting... :guilty:

I just want this all to be over so we can get settled and see Kirt again. once he gets home he's so tired that I really don't see him almost at all. Then he's falling alseep in church and when the kids want to play with him on the weekend. It's frustrating.

Sorry. I know I'm being a baby, but I don't like it when stuff messes with my family.
I'm done. I don't want to think about it until after we get back.

And, that's great! I only did the Super bowl Universal thing so I could give my ticket away, but you can't transfer them. Bummer. :confused3

Markets may be bad.. but we are moving into buying season. People are Looking here in Roanoke.. so hopefully they will get out and look where you are soon. Be prepared for a Lowball offer.

You are NOT being a baby. I feel the same exact way when Bob is on the road all the time. It's so lonely and hard when he's away. Things will improve though! I know they will.

I priced it more than my appraisal. So, I'm okay with anything more than that. We owe a lot less than the appraisal too.
I'm glad to hear people are looking and starting to buy again some places. :thumbsup2

Thanks, Mel. I know it's a little blip in time, but it always feels like a long time while you're living it, doesn't it?

And, BTW, I blame you for all the PS money I spent on stupid mystery boxes. You and Carrie, anyway. :snooty:
:lmao:

One week from today I will have already meet JenJV and JenJen for a margarita, had my birthday dinner at Kona, and be waiting for fireworks. yipppeeee!

Dawn... I forgot to add this

Scott has had 4 times in our married life that we have only seen each other on weekends..

  • 6 weeks before and 5 months AFTER we got married
  • For 5 months while he worked in Chesapeake Virginia and I worked back in Roanoke, House never sold... but he found a job back in Roanoke.
  • For 4 months after Joshua was born while we were moving to Kentucky
  • For 5 months the following year as we were moving BACK to Virginia( and that house took 1 year to sell )I had to go back to work for 9 months just to make the house payment while we rented a house.

I will say while I hated him being away all those times... all but once his room was paid for while he was in transition. Either by a Hotel or an Apartment. But the last time... when it just got too much for all of us to deal with... we packed up most of the Ky house and rented a house in Va.till we sold ours.

It is hard on relationships, and very hard on kids I am sure. Joshua was too young to remember.. but when he is gone on overnight trips... Sarabeth and Joshua both are hard to deal with. Sara's worse :guilty:

I certainly you do not have any of the nightmares that I have had.. At least Kirt is in your bed every night.. for however short a time.

Know that All of us are thinking of your situation, and I'm praying for a speedy Answer.

Thanks, Janet.
And, that's great! I only did the Super bowl Universal thing so I could give my ticket away, but you can't transfer them. Bummer. :confused3

I saw that I have to provide ID. I had several people offer me theirs, but I couldn't use them :-(

I bet it sells faster than you think it will:thumbsup2

Yikes :faint: I have only been away from Jim 2x, both for work things. One was to Pittsburgh, so that wasn't too bad. The other was to Stockholm for a week! I HATED being away from him and Jimmy sooooooooooo much:sad1:

No, I m not ditching them. We're going to chill together. I am, however, going to ditch them the night of Mel's Raglan Road meet. :thumbsup2 All the other times they'll be with me. If they get bored they can mosey and I'll catch up with them later. :rolleyes1

Job Transfers are tough. As I mentioned a few pages back I have never left the kids except for hospital things . Now 2002 I took the kids with me to Ky for the summer due to
mom falling and breaking her neck and I needed to take care of my brother and be near mom .

THAT WAS HARD.. Scott came MOST weekends to see us. That lasted for 1 solid month... after my brother was admitted to the hospital, then eventual assignment, I was able to go back and forth some. But I still spent most weeks in Ky from May 23 to August 3

Off to bed ladies. HAve a good night all. I will probably be able to check in tomorrow at some poiint during th day. Thanks for not being too chatty while I'm away.

Wait...does that mean I do all the talking:headache:

Well this dang computer just locked up bigger than snot in -40 degree weather and I lost my update. It was a slow day for the Fockers. Sorry Rosie. I'll have to start over.

...today is my do nothing day!
MEL

She did visit with us though!

I keep reading about all these trips to the Motherland and I'm JEALOUS!!! I wanna go now!!!!

Oh well, instead I have a day of laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping and volunteering at school to look forward to. Fun, huh? :rotfl:

I'm right there with you! ;)

DH leaves for Jacksonville tomorrow morning for the rest of the week, so I think I'll spend the day catching up on laundry and cleaning.

 I hope you get everthing ship-shape.

I must say MY best Birthday was the one in DisneyWorld... and they did not make that Big of a fuss... But.. Scott did talk us into MGM during "Sneak Peek Week" When they were practicing, and working out the bugs. Park was deserted, Wires laying around, and boards covering some wires and holes.
House is quiet... have it all to myself But the exterminator will be by later... so I had better tidy up around here.

One week until we're on the plane on our way to celebrating my best birthday ever!!! :yay:

Even though we don't leave until next Monday, I really only have a few days at home this week because the girls and I have our last Dallas dance competition/convention trip Friday- Sunday.

Today we're just doing school, dance and maybe heading to Target. I got a gift card from my SIL and $$ from my MIL for my Bday dinner last night. I want to re-do the kids bathroom when we move, so that's what I want to do with that. Baylie says it's weird to spend my bday money on their bathroom, but decorating makes me happy.

I also promised the kids we'd work in this book I bought that's about all the countires in Epcot. So, I want to do that this week. Maybe I can tout it as studying for our spy assignments in Epcot next week.
:scared:

Well, my morning just blew up in my face.... or maybe I should say "threw up" as in DD7 coming home from school after 15 minutes and doing exactly that!

So, instead of my busy day trying to get things done, I guess I'll be working around the house until I take her in for a strep test at 1:20 this afternoon.

:sad2:

Kristel Thanks for the update You are almost the Bestest !:lmao: ( see Jo I said almost!!:rotfl2: )
Have to work 2nd job at 3 pm and have a lot of running around to do !!
So may not get back till tonite !!The DisMeets for May are looking awesome Check them out also my PTR ( Shameless Plug )

I don't know what to say to this.

So much for my plan to get to bed early last night... I did, but then couldn't sleep until 4am!!! I was up 1.75 hours later for work, so I'm hurting badly today.

I got into work 15 minutes early and have been running ever since. I did get a new camera. A Nikon Coolpix. LOVE IT! Other than that not much going on here. Back to work for me.

A new camera is always fun!

Just stopping by to say... BYE BYE!

I'll try to "watch" you via my phone and maybe DH's Laptop (he has to work). My phone is super DIS slow so that may or may not work out. I will update fb and keep and "eye" on all of you!

Love you guys! have a fun week!

JV has left the building!

Played golf with David this morning, it's so warm I was just wearing a short sleeved polo and pants, would have worn capris but they had been put away for the winter.

Thanks for the fashion update but did you beat him??

Might be able to take my Williamsburg/ Busch Gardens Trip after all.

:thumbsup2

I am so annoyed right now! I just finished doing my taxes and I owe almost $700! I have never had to pay before, always gotten a couple hundred back in fact. My income has not increased so I am wondering ***!

ETA: Never mind, I just looked at my previous years taxes and for some reason this year they took way less out from my pay cheques in taxes which is what is screwing me up. This is so annoying and I was totally not prepared to have to pay anything. I wonder why my employer messed with how much tax they take out each pay?

That just sux!

So we got to the hearing place early, and waiting about 45 minutes before they took us in. It was very formal. I got sworn in even, so did KC. The judge asked us a few questions and we both had time to say what we wanted. He was nice enough. He told me it's hard because I'm so young to witch I told him I need the medical care and this is one of the only ways tog et it.

Now we wait....some more.

It lasted all of 10 minutes. Now probably another 4 weeks will go by until I hear.

SO we came home and took a nap (i had a wicked headache last night) and we just ordered some Chinese food for late lunch/dinner.

Thanks sooooo much everyone for the positive thinking!!! It always helps to know I have so many awesome people in my corner!
:grouphug:

I am wishing for the best outcome!

Well, it's as I figured, DD7 has strep too!

So, tomorrow will be another day stuck at home. She can't go back to school until she's been on the antibiotics for 24 hours. And DD5 doesn't have school tomorrow so I'll have them both at home.

Not much going on here. I'm attempting to get my Girl Scout cookie stuff done. I've figured out exactly how many boxes each girl sold (or will get credit for selling) and which prizes each girl has won. Now I have to wait to get sizes from the moms. And the rest of the money too.

You just want things back to normal. We all want normal. I'd be upset too. It'll be alright, you'll see. :goodvibes

And Janet won a free ticket to Universal. :woohoo:

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
We were on the subject of husbands not being around due to jobs when I busted in. Doug and I only see each other a couple of hours on most days. He works days and I work nights. He tries to take off the weekends that I am off. I think when we are both retired, we will end up killing each other 'cause we aren't used to being around each other all day. :rotfl2:

 Rosie, I couldn't see why anyone would talk to you that way. You are so sweet. I am so sorry you had that kind of day.

Hi everyone!! I hope to catch up, thanks Kristel :thumbsup2 and start posting more. All of my time has been taken up lately with a new ticker site that Scott purchased for Enchanted. I had to strip it and work some magic on it pixiedust: . I got done tonight finally :) . Now I can get back to chatting :rotfl: .

. Thanks for not being too chatty while I'm away.

Wait...does that mean I do all the talking:headache:

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Where is Mel ?? you are slipping lately girl...

Gotta run my van in for a shock leaking oil... but it's covered so I don't have to pay for it. :cool2: ... Then Scott and I will go grab some breakfast.

Check on ya ladies later

I'm up and not really at 'em...;)
Mel's up. I talked to her a minute ago on FB. She's going to the gym so she can shower with her closest friends. :lmao: Sorry, Mel. Couldn't resist...

We have a few things to do today, so that's good. I like it when I'm busy. It makes the days go faster. :thumbsup2
What's everyone else up to today? :cutie:

Morning! Sadly, yet another night with less-than-fulfilling sleep. I HATE Daylight Savings Time. :headache:

In other news, I pushed the button and booked our 3 pre-DVC nights for the summer trip and have been going through the All Ears restaurant list, putting together ideas.

Here's some craziness... Leo goes off on this dissertation about guns this morning - explaining the attributes of pistols, vs. shotguns, vs. rifles, vs. dart guns, etc. :scared1: I quickly asked where he'd obtained such information and he said "from a book at school." :scared1: :scared1: SAY WHAT?!?!?! WTH kind of school keeps a book about guns in a first grade classroom?! I'm hoping it was some kid's book that got mixed in with the school books, but you better believe I'm sending a note of inquiry to the teacher. :sad2:
