I have no idea. I know she's young, but still. Doesn't she have any pride or self-worth? It's not like it's been years of abuse to where she's worn down and doesn't think she can safely leave him or something.

I really don't get people sometimes, it is like they get blinded by their relationship.

I have this friend whose girlfriend has cheated on him numerous times, has tried to commit suicide, goes on shoplifting sprees, treats him horribly and is crazy in general and yet he is still with her! I don't get it.

Sometimes people feel trapped... others feel like that no one else would ever love them. Then there are the ones that THINK that they can change the person they are with because they really love them.. or that the whole thing is there fault so that's why they are being abused.

Not too sure where my Mom fit in all of that. Having an Autistic kid did slow her down, she probably feared for her families life as Dad no doubt would have killed them figuring they had her or knew where she was.

Lessa, that really stinks! It reminds me of the time two years ago when our church deposit was stolen by some men dressed up like the armored car service. They made out with tens of thousands.... what a mess!

So, our Brownie troop had our first cookie booth today. We sold 82 boxes in three hours, so not bad. I'm making our first deposit tomorrow because I'm sick of holding on to all this money.

I've got so much cleaning/housework to do tonight, but I don't feel like doing any of it. I've got a few more loads of laundry to do too. It's sorta overwhelming, but I guess that's what happens when you're gone the entire weekend, right??

I'm listening to the NASCAR race right now. But don't ask me who's winning because I haven't been paying attention at all. I just know that a lot of drivers are having mechanical problems.

Tomorrow, I've got to volunteer at school in the morning. Then, after picking DD5 up from preschool, we'll head to the Y for a workout. Then, I'll be home for the night! Maybe I'll actually get something done then....

Anyway, I hope all is well.

A Serious as a Heart attack. Now the roads are wet... our temps will not be above freezing.. so I expected a two hour delay.. till we saw if we needed to call it off.

BUT as I said earlier.. IF we do not miss 3 days... then Roanoke County WILL BE FORCED... to start classes next year AFTER LABOR DAY. They do not like to be told WHEN THEY CAN START SCHOOL.
Tomorrow will be day 2 and I should have been day 1.. YUP.. thought the roads would GET BAD later in the day.. so they just called it off.
Bad weather did not come.

Now they did say we might see some more snow over night...

Big controversy brewing in the office. Some money from a wallet turned into the Lost and Found has gone missing. It has to have been somebody in the office who took it. How stupid could you be!? Like that wouldn't get noticed. Really makes me not trust my co-workers. This is the security department for goodness sacks!

That just stinks, I hope it's all sorted out soon!

I am obviously fine now, and I am the one who left because it was what needed to be done for me, but I was there none the less. The main reason i was stuck there was because we lived together (something we sort of got stuck doing by circumstance at the time). We were together for about 2 years, and about 6 months was good. Anyways it's hard to get out but it is possible.

I am feeling all anxious today. I paid the bills today and realized that if we do stay in this apartment then we are basically poor for the next 2 weeks until KC gets paid again. I can not wait until my disability hearing so I can figure out one way or another weather I am getting money or looking for work. All I really wanna do is run off to Florida and can't afford it. '

Excuse me I'm cranky. I'm gonna go off and hide in the corner, with my wii-mote and AC , of course.

I am so sorry you had that in your life... BUT you are obviously a strong girl..and no doubt that time in your life made you stronger. You walked out and did what was best for you.
If Scott was abusive to me... I really believe I would walk out... But I also might be tempted to hurt him back. In that "Fight or Flight" scenario.. I am so obviously Fight. To the point I have actually hit people who thought it would be funny to run up behind me to scare me... THEY NEVER DID IT TWICE... Scott included

Hey, guys. No way in heck I'm catching up, so I'm just jumping in. Recap? It's been since last week...

They just called to cancel school for us tomorrow. Unlike Katt, we're supposed to get 10-16 inches, but it's not started yet. Yeah, Happy March.

I have more than half of my amazon.com reviews done, for the Kindle. The last one cracked me up - I put it up on FB as my status, but it was about an Advertising major at the University of Illinois, who wasn't sure about being an Ad major. He really wants to move to Orlando because of a fictional version of WDW. It's my life!!! I will say that the grammar was bad, but the descriptions of both U of I and Pleasure Island are spot on.

The ski trip was a blast, but no internet.

I'll be MIA again for a while. With no school tomorrow, it's an off day. Tuesday is 2 bouts of tennis for me (class, and then a match) and then the boys' tennis lesson, followed by a dental appointment for Buzz. He has a permanent tooth coming in over a baby tooth that's not gone, and it's at a scary-odd angle. Probably no big deal, but I kind of hope they'll just yank the baby tooth. It's extremely loose, so not a big deal.

D's gone Wednesday for a day trip. I have make-up tennis match as well, from back when the ice storm hit in December.

I need to get these reviews done by next Sunday, though, as I said, I'm over half done. So, I'm kind of feeling very busy for the first of the week.

I miss you all! Sorry I can't catch up! I'll try to keep up from now on, though I don't know how much I'll be posting for a while.

Lori Max is a miniarture ****zu!! He really is adorable !! I am not a fan of little dogs usually as they tend to YAP and nip at heels !! Or maybe I've just met those type !! Max is best friends with Snoopy our Pitbull and attacks him all the time(playing) they share a dish and Max eats first!!He is in love with2 stuffed bears (f you now what I mean )and if we put them up he cries!

Awwww...well he's a cutie. And now if we ever decide to get another dog that is what I want to look for. I'm not a fan of little dogs either because of the yipping but of course I've never owned a small dog so I don't know how it would go. We have a black lab right now who seriously thinks she's a lap dog and is the biggest baby ever. She is constantly getting in my way and is just so stubborn. It would be a nice change to have a small one.

5:00PM they have already called off school in Roanoke County Virginia...
I need to post a picture of this "MONSTER" Snow storm so those of you who have had snow can have a laugh. Still March 1, first snow of the year.

I believe the main reason for the school call off ( besides their "quota" ) is the temps are falling and will stay cold tomorrow so the buses would be trying to drive on Icy Roads till after 10:00 which is the cut-off for delays.

Off already! And your right...that isn't a lot of snow at all.

I really don't know. This situation has me feeling all twisted inside.

I would be feeling the same way. I have a lot of trust in people and if something like that were to happen it would rock my world as well.

Speaking of that... did you guys read that Rhianna's back with Chris Brown?! What does that tell our kids who are watching her as a role model? Ugh. I'm so disappointed.

I read that online this morning and took it as rumor. But as I see more and more people are reporting on it I'm thinking it is true. Like I read on one of the gossip blogs it's like the modern day Ike & Tina.

Hi Fockers!

I got on here with my phone. What luck I have ... Broke my laptop, now our new desktop is in the Apple hospital!


I had a great scrapweekend... Page wise, not table mate wise (more on that when I can type on a real keyboard). I got 30 pages done, which is the most that I've ever done at a retreat! I am super excited! The only bad thing is that my legs swelled again, which is terribly painful.


I will try read on my phone, but it is really slow, slow. My phone hates the dis. Crazy huh?

Dawn and DH signed the dotted line for the new home. I think she is feeling a bit better about the move now. Her B-day is the 23rd

JV is using her phone to chat. She broke the laptop. Her phone is not DIScompatable. She got a lot done on her scrap booking retreat but her legs are bothering her.

I just got done shopping on-line for clothes. I have been getting a lot of discount notices from Sierra Trading Post. They sent me one for 25% of my total order. I though 'what the heck'. I needed some new shirts for work. Mostly tees. They had quite a few things in their 'BARGAIN BARN' that I liked. I bought a pair of pants and 6 shirts. Nothing was over $9 with my coupon.
Don't you just love that the stores tell or show you how much you saved now. They want you to leave feeling like you actually did yourself a big favor coming to their establishment to buy overpriced stuff at regular prices. Cracks me up. Sierra let me know that I saved a whopping $153.64. In reality, I would have never paid that much to begin with.

I had a good time with my SIL. Her apartment is nice. She has dubbed it the 'Cougar Cave.' I'm glad she has a good sense of humor about the whole thing. We did some shopping. Found a few good deals at Macy's buy 1 get 1 free deal. There is this new store in our mall called "Deb's". OMG! Retro 80's. I have never laughed so hard in all my life. I knew I should have hung onto my Madonna and Pat Benatar attire. I could have probably made a fortune on Ebay.

We ate at Outback. They have updated their menu. I had beef loin with crab stuffed shrimp and green beans. It was so good. And the Wallabe Darned wasn't too bad either. I paid and told her it was the least I could do since I have a screw-up for a brother. ( I actually called him something else.)

I asked her if she still felt like she made the right choice. She said yes. It's just hard because of who he is seeing.

Gotta go to the annual 'poke and prod' doctor in the morning. Yes, I love being a woman.
