So, I go into the ladies room to, well you know...as I turn around in the stall my cell phone fell out of the case (I must not have had it snapped closed) and FELL INTO THE TOILET:mad::mad: So, now my brand new cell phone is DEAD!
I know everyone already said this but... RICE! It really does work. :thumbsup2
I'd freak, T. And I think it's wonderful that the school office lady took you seriously and went and checked on her. :thumbsup2
Thanks Kate - the office lady actually freaked me out more! :lmao:

How's Waldo holding up?
He's hanging in there. No pun intended. :scared: 2 more weeks until his surgery, so he's actually looking forward to it. Honestly, so am I. :teeth:

So I have a strange question and I really hope I don't offend anyone. I've noticed many (MANY) cars here in SC with "In memory of" stickers on their back windows. One I saw recently had a portrait of a woman and a mini obituary under her name and DOB/DOD. I was just wondering if this is something that is happening all over or if it's specific to SC...or even coastal SC. :confused3
They do it here, too. I just don't understand it. :confused3

I told my husband, "If I cork it, I do not want my dates on the back of the van:sad2:"
:lmao: Too funny.

Hmmm... thought I quoted V....

No one walks home from school around here, unless their parent walks with them. A few months ago we had 3 attempted abductions in 1 week. :sad2: It's a scary world out there, full of nut jobs.

Well, I guess it is moving because it is on a vehicle, but that is about it.

I'm sorry, that made me :lmao:

I've not seen a whole lot of it up here. Then again, we don't have near the number of roadside memorials, either. :confused3

I suppose that it's something that is with you every day... Grammatically, I agree with Kate, though. ::yes::

Janet, since I know you like baseball, I wanted to extend my sympathies for the death of the Phillies' announcer. I know that I cried when Jack Buck died - it's sad, and it never feels quite right hearing others call the Cardinal games.

Yes, they do it here too. I don't understand it either.
What a day! But I'm glad for your DH! Sounds like a great do-over. :)
Thanks!

Thanks!

I laughed too. They are actually making roadside memorials illegal here. They passed it in a nearby town and it is up for vote here soon. There are so many that it has become a hazard. Sad but true.

DH said firm wanted to know about his hourly rate for the contract work. Since he gets paid in yearly salaries he had didn't do his math right and gave a really LOW number :headache:. I did the math and it is lower than what he was making before. He also didn't account for this being contract work which is usually higher than just fulltime salary. The guy responded "well, that sounds kinda low? We were thinking a little higher. How about I put all this together in an email and you let me know." :headache: :headache: :headache: I love my DH but he should let me do all his negotiating!

I've been strapping hay onto the back of my 4 wheeler and racing down the hill...........followed by a stampede of horses.......dog.........goats..........and my poor little disabled Sugar goat.
And they eat and then follow me BACK up the hill.

:rotfl2: I'm with Dawn, we need more goat stories. Isn't cheerleading almost over so you can hang out more!

I just wanted to say thanks everyone for being so nice to me :goodvibes.

 We don't eat our young despite what you may have heard;)

Janet,
Rice.

Remember a ways back when I put #2's iPod in the washing machine? I stuck it in a bag of rice for a day or two and it sucked all the moisture right out of it. It might be worth a try.

I'll try it!

:confused3

Nope, they do it here too!:confused3

I need the practice on those, so it was good, but it wasn't fun, if you KWIM. :headache:

Sorry you didn't have fun.

I have dropped my phone in the pool before and dried it out and it worked fine. I just removed the battery, opened it up and let it dry for about a day. Good luck

Thanks, I took the battery and the Sim card out right away. Hoping it will dry out!

We have it a lot here too, it my just be a southern type thing. I truly believe people have to deal with grief in whatever way they need to. That being said, I don't find someone's birth and death dates next to a Calvin peeing on a number on a dirty window that moving. Well, I guess it is moving because it is on a vehicle, but that is about it.

I told my husband, "If I cork it, I do not want my dates on the back of the van:sad2:"

He agreed.

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Are you sure you don't watch Regis? Kelly always says Miss Nancy never said hi Kelly, and apparently it's scared her for like! :rotfl2:

Maybe I need to start watching. We might be soul sisters. Miss Nancy never said my name either:sad2:
]

I know everyone already said this but... RICE! It really does work. :thumbsup2

I will try it when I get home!

Janet, since I know you like baseball, I wanted to extend my sympathies for the death of the Phillies' announcer. I know that I cried when Jack Buck died - it's sad, and it never feels quite right hearing others call the Cardinal games.

Thanks CE. It's gonna be weird not hearing him call the games. At least he got to see them win it last year!

know." :headache: :headache: :headache: I love my DH but he should let me do all his negotiating!

Tell him you are now his agent and nothing is to be signed without you first reviewing it;)

I can't wait to pick her and hug her, then choke her for doing that!
Little monkey, glad she was safe and sound

Thanks Jo. :goodvibes I just hate seeing clutter and that's what we have every where. LOL
I'm constantly going on at the girls, also why do they wear something for a short time and put it in the laundry? :headache: Oh and use about 10 drinking glasses in a day :rotfl2:

So, I go into the ladies room to, well you know...as I turn around in the stall my cell phone fell out of the case (I must not have had it snapped closed) and FELL INTO THE TOILET:mad::mad: So, now my brand new cell phone is DEAD!
Hope you manage to dry it out!

I just wanted to say thanks everyone for being so nice to me :goodvibes.
Don't be silly that's what we're here for

Sorry but that just sounds wrong to me, I bet it will soon be over here though, we're normally a couple of years behind :rotfl2:

We had played, just 4 of us from my team, on Thursday and talked about getting a court today. Then one of the girls got the court and e-mailed us on Friday. All good, except one of us didn't show - we'd not heard from her, but didn't think much about it.
Did you ever hear from her? Sorry it wasn't a great practise

Leo annoucned the other day that he thinks he'd like to walk home from school. Uh sure, across the two 8-lane, 50mph roadways he'd have to cross?! Poeple don't walk anywhere around here unless they absolutely have to. :sad2:
That would kill me not being able to walk anywhere, you know I like to walk :rotfl2: And no photos, sorry, but here's his website http://www.david-edwards.co.uk/ and it has a video on :thumbsup2

No one walks home from school around here, unless their parent walks with them. A few months ago we had 3 attempted abductions in 1 week. :sad2: It's a scary world out there, full of nut jobs.
OMG!!!!!

I laughed too. They are actually making roadside memorials illegal here. They passed it in a nearby town and it is up for vote here soon. There are so many that it has become a hazard. Sad but true.
They're doing that here too!!! And yep I think your DH needs you to negotiate :rotfl2:

I'd heard about those laws.

I love my DH but he should let me do all his negotiating!

::yes:: Definitely! :lmao:

Sorry you didn't have fun.

It was fine, it was just that we'd giggled and laughed all the time on Thursday, and today was more like work. :rotfl2:

Maybe I need to start watching. We might be soul sisters. Miss Nancy never said my name either:sad2:

Mine, either. ;)

Thanks CE. It's gonna be weird not hearing him call the games. At least he got to see them win it last year!

That is a good thing.

I'm constantly going on at the girls, also why do they wear something for a short time and put it in the laundry?

Woody does this. :headache:

Oh and use about 10 drinking glasses in a day :rotfl2:

They BOTH do this. Drives me nuts, too. :sad2:

Did you ever hear from her? Sorry it wasn't a great practise

Nope, she must have either forgotten or just figured we'd get someone else if she didn't respond, but none of us really thought twice about not getting a confirmation from her. :lmao:

Glad it's not just my 2 :sad2:

Oh :rotfl2:

OMG! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I just scrolled to the top of this thread and saw this ad for http://inmemorydecal.com/
Don't you just love google ads?
OMG :rotfl2: They obviously don't cater for the UK market as I don't have that one :rotfl:

Well got the car washed!! Got cards forJudy's Birthday tomorrow ! I asked her if she wanted to go to Chillis or Bob Evans !! We have a new Chilis that just opened here and I or one woud lik to try it !!Anyone have any thoughts on it ???? She said either was fine !!

And yes, I'm having goat problems---Daran comes home for lunch and yells "hey---YOUR goats are in the yard!"
I went out in bedroom slippers and yes,,,,,,,,they greet me in the front yard baaing happily and eating the grass. I got them back in by myself but still don't know how they got out.???????
AND---they won't go in his nice new goat barn----it has cute beige siding to match the house.......and they seem to hate it........they chose to sleep out in the rain.

i love your goat stories too! Reminds me of home. We used to have goats in the pool (and calfs) and once one of the goats bleated my papas name. Raaaaallllph:lmao:

FELL INTO THE TOILET:mad::mad: So, now my brand new cell phone is DEAD!:mad::mad:
Im sure it will dry out and be ok. Do you have an extra old phone? We always keep the old ones in case. Pop your sim card in so you wont be phoneless for the day.:thumbsup2

I've seen them before but not a ton. I dont get them. The poeple that do it cover their entire rear window!:scared1: In my experience the people are usually the same ones that are holding car washes for the funeral because the person was killed in a gang shooting, or something bizarre.

I laughed too. They are actually making roadside memorials illegal here. They passed it in a nearby town and it is up for vote here soon. There are so many that it has become a hazard. Sad but true.
i can definitely see it being a hazard. Near my house we had a teenager die when he ran into a tree in the median. It was a curvyish road and he was drunk and going twice the speed limit. The whole week folowing people would park next to the median and next to the side of the road and stand around with candles and flowers. Did i mention this is a curvy road? It was another accident waiting to happen. Isnt that what cemetaries are for?

 We don't eat our young despite what you may have heard;)
:rotfl2:

You mean your not like that troll that hides under the bridge befriending us only ensnare and devour us in one bite?:stir:

:rotfl:

We should try and see what else we can get to show up? That could become dangerous real fast!

Oh, and Kat...be safe, okay? That guy sounds like a wackadoodle.

Honestly I was a bit nervous to leave the houser thinking he might be there but so far so good.

I tell her she is fired and that if she can't be more reliable than that then I will just start getting my coffee somwhere else (for those that don't know my mom I was kidding).

Sorry about your crappy day but this made me giggle, I pictured you telling her she was fired in a donald trump voice! :rotfl:

I had a loverly scare this morning...

jeez! why did she do it? Oh and I will let you know when i play AC again- I am knee deep in a messy re-doing of the house.

So, I go into the ladies room to, well you know...as I turn around in the stall my cell phone fell out of the case (I must not have had it snapped closed) and FELL INTO THE TOILET:mad::mad: So, now my brand new cell phone is DEAD!:mad::mad:

Can I have a do-over like Debra did?

OH NO! Yea drying it out may very well work! BTW I didn't comment on Jimmy's pics from easter- he's getting so tall!

I just wanted to say thanks everyone for being so nice to me :goodvibes.

Ditto!

So I have a strange question and I really hope I don't offend anyone. I've noticed many (MANY) cars here in SC with "In memory of" stickers on their back windows. Here Is ee them a lot. There are some ghetto-er parts of town that have them more than others tho. here we also have big huge graffiti murals like that.

#################################

Went to cable, got in and out fast enough but darn that things heavy. I also had to stop for some onions for tomorrows dinner, and some dunkin donuts coffee as my reward for going.

So now I'd like to punch KC in the mouth....why you ask? because we can't use the old tv now with the new box. Why is this a problem? Because the unit isn't done and the new tv isn't close to being hooked up yet! Had I known this I would have waited until Thursday to do it , when we are ready for the new tv. URGH.

Got Bale's antibiotics. Liquid which means force feeding it to him. I'm hoping he'll eat it in his food, if not it ought to be a sight to see trying to shove it down his throat.

Anyways i'm eating some lunch and try and tackle this mess!

kat- good luck with the kitty medicine. hopefully you can find something strong to mask the flavor in. Wet food, or maybe if your cat likes cream or milk?:thumbsup2

It's gonna be weird not hearing him call the games.
I know what you mean. It's still weird not to hear Skip Caray calling the Braves games.

Oh and use about 10 drinking glasses in a day :rotfl2:
Mitch's mother used to have 1/2 smoked cigarettes all over the house, unlit, so he calls my 2 glasses my ciggies! :rotfl: I might start with wine, but want tea as well, so I don't dump the first out. No need to dirty extra glasses.

You mean your not like that troll that hides under the bridge befriending us only ensnare and devour us in one bite?:stir:
I see your grandmother told you the story about the Billy Goats Gruff! :rotfl2:

Liquid which means force feeding it to him.
That should be fun! Been there. Done that.

I knew I should've quoted....

Oh well, I'll try my best to remember.

Mel: Yay for SD and yes the bday is Friday! :yay:I changed my avatar in honor of it :D

Rachel: I'm still working in the hospital ER, just will soon be going to mornings and working amongst the living.

Dawn: :hug:about the puppy. Vet bills are so expensive and if you have more than 1 pet so is pet insurance.

Kate: I've seen those In memory of things on cars here too. And congrats on DH's graduation!

V: glad Leo is better

Janet: hope the cell phone's ok. Do you have phone insurance? Maybe you can get a new one. :rolleyes1

T: OMG, :faint: glad Mads was ok though.

Debra: :hug:I hope your day got better and yes, you deserved a do over.

Kat: good luck with Bale and the medicine. Did they give you a dropper? I would have to go into the bathroom with the cats hold them in my lap and squirt the medicine through the side of their mouth and tilt their heads back to give their meds. It's a pain and you end up with cat hair all over your clothes, but they refused to eat the food with it because they could smell it.

and....Hi everyone!

Not much from me, woke myself up a little while ago to see if I can get some stuff done. Right now playing Bejeweled, it's so addicting!

BBL :hippie:

Glad I started my day over huh? :cloud9:
Whoa, a do-over was definitely needed! Yay about hubby, except for the salary part. Men! :sad2:

Glad you guys are getting some good weather Mel and YAY! to SD for getting his braces off. :woohoo:
Ok, apparently I spoke too soon. It's been cloudy since I typed that this morning and it's raining now. And all day tomorrow. ROFL.
Thanks, for SD. He's so happy!

I'm teasing. I was shocked there was no funnel cake or gummy worms on the list, though. :rotfl2:
He had ice cream with oreos, chocolate chips, fudge, caramel and brownies.:faint:

Been to the trick show, it was good, he basically did lots of silly golf shots with big clubs, bendy clubs, giant tees, off his knees etc etc. I also tried out some new clubs and hit them well so I'll be getting them. Not for a few weeks though as I have tons of competitions in the next few weeks so don't want to muck up :thumbsup2
Sounds cool. I'll check out the website. Glad you liked the new clubs. I'm like that with stuff too. I didn't even want to activate my new debit card before I went to WDW in case it was glitched! LOL

I can't wait to pick her and hug her, then choke her for doing that!

Gonna hit the treadmill now - I'm still a bit worked up about it, BBL.
Oh, T. Sorry! That had to be scary. I still watch Gus go into the building and he's in 5th grade! We worry. We're mommas. That's what we do!

Gummy Bears and anything else he can fit in there right;)
Yep. He was already eating sticky, chewy things (even though he wasn't supposed to) so he didn't have a large list of things to eat when they came off.

Janet said:

Poor Janet! I'd echo everyone who said PULL THE BATTERY quick! And we tried rice. However, since SD swam with his phone in his swimsuit for almost an hour it was a moot point. Good luck with yours!

On the otherhand, you could show it to people you don't like and tell them it's wet and ask if they know how to fix it. Then, casually mention it fell in the dirty potty. :lmao:

I'm teasing. Kind of. ;) :rotfl2:
Ewwwwwwwww. Dawn! Bad Dawn!

I've been strapping hay onto the back of my 4 wheeler and racing down the hill...........followed by a stampede of horses.......dog.........goats..........and my poor little disabled Sugar goat.
And they eat and then follow me BACK up the hill.
Why can't we see pictures of THIS???? Missed you and the goats!

I just wanted to say thanks everyone for being so nice to me :goodvibes.
You can thank us for lots of stuff, but not that. It's just what we do.

Haven't seen this here in Michigan. Maybe it hasn't hit here yet....?
We do have the roadside things though. Very distracting.

I've done a load of laundry and unloaded the dishwasher. D is saying he needs to be working from here, but he went with me to the gym and is just messing on his personal computer now, so... ;) I will check back!
Sounds like a busy day, CE! See you soon!

Leo annoucned the other day that he thinks he'd like to walk home from school. Uh sure, across the two 8-lane, 50mph roadways he'd have to cross?! Poeple don't walk anywhere around here unless they absolutely have to. :sad2:
Kids! :sad2:

I told my husband, "If I cork it, I do not want my dates on the back of the van:sad2:"

He agreed.
:lmao:

I completely agree with what you said about people grieving in their own personal way, I just always thought that "In Memory of" required a verb.
::yes:: I forgot to say Congrats to DH!!!

You would be amazed at the kids that walk home around here. :sad2: At least there are crossing guards, but still.

Now there's a conversation I never thought I'd need to have. :lmao:
Wouldn't surprise me at all. People do STRANGE things. I don't let mine walk home alone and he's in 5th grade!
Yeah, I never thought I'd have it either.....

No one walks home from school around here, unless their parent walks with them. A few months ago we had 3 attempted abductions in 1 week. :sad2: It's a scary world out there, full of nut jobs.
Right.

Maybe I need to start watching. We might be soul sisters. Miss Nancy never said my name either:sad2:
Yeah, if you know my real name, you won't be surprised that she never said mine either......

Sorry bout the TV, and KC and uh, any other initial things that are bugging you.
HA!
Poor Bale. Hope he feels tip top soon!

The braces are off!!!!!
Wanna see pics?

MEL:banana:

T - How scary with Maddie but glad she was safe.

Janet - :scared1: To the phone! Hope you can get it dried out and that it'll work for ya again.

TE - Love the goat stories. How is Sugar doing? Any better?

Tracy -

Kate - I don't see too many memorial stickers on cars here. I know our neighbor has one on her car but don't see them anywhere else.

Debra - :headache: But glad you guys can get it worked out. :goodvibes

Jo - Great website and that looks so cool! And yes, my kids too like to change outfits 20 million times a day and leave glasses everywhere. Well, I'm guilty of the glass thing too. :rotfl: Its worse in the summer time since they are home all day and feel that any speck of dirt that gets on them they then have to change. :sad2:

 Hi everyone else! :goodvibes

I'm off to reheat dinner as we are doing leftovers from last night.

kat- good luck with the kitty medicine. hopefully you can find something strong to mask the flavor in. Wet food, or maybe if your cat likes cream or milk?:thumbsup2

That should be fun! Been there. Done that.

Yea tonight will be the first does and I plan to stick it in his wet food and pray he eats it. LOL.

Yea I have had to give him pills before and that was no problem, but the liquid was an issue. This one i dunno how it will go over but the other one smelled like fish so he loved it, i'm hoping this is the same. Yea I have the dropper.

Sorry bout the TV, and KC and uh, any other initial things that are bugging you.
HA!
Poor Bale. Hope he feels tip top soon!

MEL:banana:

That cracked me up! And YES PICS!

I'm gonna take pics of our mess, it's funny how much we have, or how many games KC has lol.
