Morning! SHEESH, that was a lot of pages since I last logged in! :faint: I could either quote the last 2 pages, or catch up on all. I went for the latter, so I think this should cover it:

:cool1::hug::yay::rolleyes::grouphug::sad2: popcorn:::confused3:scared:

We had an interesting weekend. Ran errands and cleaned Sat. then Leo came home Sun. morning. He found his candy basket, ate 2 pieces of candy and announced that his throat hurt... sure enough, he had a low fever, too. :headache: So we watched a movie and ate some lunch, then decided to take the first dip in the pool since last fall. Our pool isn't heated and the water temp was a brisk 72, but Leo got in and swam a bunch; it lowered his fever!

He also busted out with "So, when are we going to church?" For those who don't know me yet, I'm atheist and haven't ever been to church with Leo, so I was like "Wha - huh???" He clarified, though: "We have to go to church to get the eggs full of candy!" :rotfl: Ooohhh, okay. I offered to hide a bunch of plastic eggs full of candy around the house instead and he was down with that.

Today is baseball and hot dog day at work. It's the Rays home opener I guess so we're having a big 'ol hot dog fest for lunch. I hate baseball, but I loooove hot dogs!

Happy Monday all! :grouphug:

Man, that sounds good. I really don't like ham, but everyone else does, so that's what I cooked. I LOVE turkey. Growing up, my mom and grandma always did ham and a roast beef (with potatoes and noodles) and that was terrific. :lovestruc

Hi, Rachel! Welcome home. :) Missed you!

I started some drunken Spanish Friday night. We missed you!

Hi, Rosie! Glad you had a nice day - hope the evening goes well!

***************************************************
We had a lovely day. I always feel weird carting food over there to cook, but it was easy stuff, so it was no big deal. Michelle's parents are very nice, even if her dad has the fakest black hair I've ever seen on an older gentleman. :rotfl:

She is out of the ICU and should go home Tuesday. They diagnosed it as streptococcus pneumonia, which I guess hits fast and hard, but she should be OK. :goodvibes

Deb came home just after the rest of us finished cleaning up, and that was nice. I'd not seen her since Maine - I'd seen John and the girls, but not her.

The kids had a wonderful egg hunt, too. :thumbsup2

Glad she's getting better. That's what dad has too---he's home and recovering slowly. It zaps your energy. He's supposed to be on oxygen 24/7 but when I see him, he's not.

MrsK--hope you get the sliding door fixed.

Where is Katt???

The story continues.....

Oh, Kat. I'm so sorry. Gah!

Well back to work :ssst:

Hope you had a nice night!

J Off to the supermarket in a minute, then we're off to David's golf range, it's their 15th anniversary and they have lots of stuff going on today including a trick shot display which are always good fun. I'm also going to try out some new clubs as Jess needs new ones so she can have my old ones and I'll get new :rotfl2:

Have fun! Good luck on the new clubs! ;)

That's great news! :woohoo:

Yep! We're happy. The story, as her DH told it, was completely scary. :scared:

I have to run some errands this morning and maybe pick up Reid. My sister doesn't know if she has a meeting or not? Kat, again, what is wrong with people? Just let her know.

:sad2:

Good morning! It's been sunny here for the last week. Really! Every day! I'm starting to wonder if I really still live in Michigan.....LOL

It is sunny here today, and was yesterday. We're under a FIRE weather warning, though - although it was awfully grey, cool, and cloudy last week, we've apparently not had very much rain and it's very windy, so they are worried about fires.

Did y'all see the news of the big fire here in NH? It was in the town of the first boats we looked at, on the lake where our boat will be. Sad, but I'm glad no one was there...

Today is a very exciting day here though. SD is getting his braces off!!!!!! Whoo Hoo!!!!!
So, that's where I'll be most of the day. Then we'll be celebrating by going out for ice cream.

Woohoo!!!! SUCH a good feeling. :)

I am off to buy a new stove ours is shot!!! Just made the Ham yesterday but can't put it off any longer !!It will be a joy to havetime bake again!!!

I know it's weird, but I LOVE my oven/stove. Have fun shopping! :goodvibes

Sounds exactly like something my kids would say. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: I'm glad he enjoyed his egg hunt.

I'm glad he got to feeling better, too.

*******************************************************
One thing I didn't mention last night is that when we got in the van to come back, the "diagnostic system" light came on (I'd call it the "check engine" light, but it's not what the manual says. :snooty: :rotfl2:)

Anyway, reading the manual, it just meant that the computer is getting a "bad" reading - if it had been flashing, we probably would need to turn it off and get towed - but since D has to go to the office tomorrow, and I have a full day, we felt that today was the best day to check it out.

So, D just followed me over to our mechanic's, and we hope that it's just a fluke, but who knows? Since it's running and feels "normal," I have hopes that it won't be that bad. :confused3 If it's serious and they need to keep it there, we're going to have to go rent a car tonight. :headache:

I am playing fun tennis again today - need to leave in about an hour - and then I have practice AND the last match tomorrow, plus the boys' lesson after school, so it will be a crazy day.

Glad she's getting better. That's what dad has too---he's home and recovering slowly. It zaps your energy. He's supposed to be on oxygen 24/7 but when I see him, he's not.

I guess her mom is going to stay for about 2 weeks, which should help. Though, as I recall, they aren't always that close. :scared: ;)

Good Morning all. I have to get ready and get Bug to his first day at daycare. This term, since I have to be to school on Mon and Wed by noon, Bug will be going to a friends daycare for a bit. The school bus will pick him up from there. Hope everyone had a great holiday.

Kat saw KC's post on face book and knew you would have details here. It sounds like what you and Mel went through with Craig's List could be a nightmare. I have been lucky thus far.

Kat, I am so sorry to hear this . He didn't even bring all the money then wants to say the TV doesn't work?? I want to smack him for you. He needs to quit harrassing you now.

Kat: that sucks about that guy and the TV. I've learned from watching much People's Court to always somehow write up a contract. Even if it's just a handwritten note saying that you're selling said item for said amount to said people with no refunds or something like that.

kat: I agree with others. I wish I could deck him for you. I hope he stops harassing you.

Just read what happened, what a pain, if it was working when he bought it then tough luck!!!

Well no more emails after 2 back and forth. I told the guy There is no need for any further contact at all and that KC will NOT be coming to help him out with anything.

We never sold anything more than a few bucks so if we ever do I am writing a contract. We plan to email block and call block him if an issues arise.

Honestly I am a bit nervous he is just going to show up at the house, luckily I have a baseball bat just in case. :rotfl:

Kat: Ugh. Seriously. When Bob sold his Porsche last summer to a guy in Canada he called EVERY DAY for like two weeks. I finally told Bob that he had to call-block his number. Like you said, it's not Best Buy. You can't call me at 6 am to ask me when the oil light came on last! I'm sleeping, and it's your problem now. Grrrrrr.

Bob's off to work today. Today is a very exciting day here though. SD is getting his braces off!!!!!! Whoo Hoo!!!!!
So, that's where I'll be most of the day. Then we'll be celebrating by going out for ice cream.

Yea people just don't know when to quit! and :woohoo::woohoo: for SD getting his braces off! I remember that day very fondly when I was in high school!!

That made me giggle! Happy hot dog day! LOL.

"Kat-on-Call"----------you have to come right over...........the goats won't go in their new shed.......and the dog is afraid of his new house.............and yes.......we're pretty sure you're responsible.........

Darn I'm sorry I'll send KC over right awya to fix it with anything you may need! :lmao:

Oh, Kat. I'm so sorry. Gah!

Good morning Fockers!!

A decent night, got sleep, consecutive hours, always a plus.

There is a half put together piece of furniture all over my house tho. :scared1: What a pain. KC started yesterday but it was such a long weekend he just gave up and came to bed.

This afternoon I have to go to the vet for Bale's antibiotic, and go to cable to get the new HD box. I hate going to cable. Always a line, always annoying. It takes a fairly long bus ride to get there and basically i can't stand it. BUT it can't wait until Thursday. reprogramming my DVR should take longer than putting the darn furniture together!

Then I have to come home and try and deal with this furniture mess. I am anticipating a long week. OH and KC has jury duty tomorrow.

Anywho I'm gonna crash out for another hour and be on my way.

Good morning all. A quick drive by. Back to the mad house today and the quarterly budget report is due:scared:

V - Glad Leo is feeling better

Kat - about the Craiglist guy.

Sadly, in my old age that is all I remember.

But like Miss Nancy on Romper Room would say....

I see Jo, CE, Lori, Sam, Margie, TE, Mel, Angela, Rosie, Z, and Tracey. I hope you all have a wonderful day:goodvibes

Thanks for all the ocmpliments about Jimmy. My baby is get getting big:sad1:

Everyone is back to work and school today, so hopefully we get back into the routine fairly quickly..

There you go... Seriously, it was on when he got there - what does he want?

Anywho I'm gonna crash out for another hour and be on my way.

Hope it's smoother than you anticipate! :goodvibes

Car guys called (already! impressive!) and the diagnostic pinged as a "misfire" of a spark plug. They checked, and the van has never been tuned up - and it's a 2002 with more than 100K miles. :rolleyes1 Whoops! :rotfl: So... It's not that bad, but it's necessary, and it's right around $500. Could be worse, and we need this van to last at least one more year, so... What can you do? :confused3

And he can finish it today, so that's good. :thumbsup2

We're off - since we just have D's car, he's decided to go work out whilst I play tennis. See you all later! :grouphug:

MEL:banana:
Ice cream? Really? Why not gummy worms or something he's not supposed to have? :confused3

CE- I'm glad your friend is feeling better and able to come home. :cutie:

TE- Gorgeous! She's just beautiful. :goodvibes

V- :lmao: on the eggs filled with candy thing.

Good morning to everyone. I just got back from taking my doggy to the vet. He was throwing up yesterday. She gave him an $85 shot :scared1::scared1::scared1: to settle his tummy. We think it might be related to me trying to save money (which seems ironic now...) by buying the Hartz drops instead of the Frontline at the vet. We put the new drops on him Saturday night and he was throwing up the next morning. :headache:

So, I would say that it wasn't worth the $10 I might have saved just to need a $120 visit. :sad2: She said I did the right thing by giving him a bath as soon as I realized he wasn't feeling well. Hopefully he will continue to improve and we won't have to go in for blood tests tomorrow. I have to treat him like a baby, though and slowly let him have small amounts of food, then wait and see if he keeps it down.

We're going to do school now. We were supposed to go to the HM movie, but we've postponed it utnil Wednesday so I can keep an eye on the puppy. :3dglasses

TE~beautiful girl, is that your daughter?
Janet~ Great pics, thanks for sharing.
Yep, 42 years old and my mommy is driving and picking me up.
That's what mommy's are for!

Mo thanks for the update sorry the shoe doesn't fit. I hear some step sisters had the same problem.
:lmao:

We went to church and there is a reason I don't go every Sunday...DR. :sad2::rolleyes::lmao: He would not sit still for the life of me and no matter what I gave him he still wouldn't. I'll give it another few months and then we'll see.
I wouldn't worry about DRs behaviour in church. First of all, they always seem louder and busier to the parents. Secondly, I have talked to many a preachers who say they love little ones being loud and playing in church becuase they know they are having a good time.

Does anyone do penny eggs?
Mama puts money in some eggs and candy in others to hide. MIL usually puts gold dollars but I think she forgot this year.

. So thats on hold till Thursday.
Sorry Kat, I know you were looking forward to Ikea. Also sorry about crazy craigslist guy. Sounds like he is a con. BTW I would still keep the baseball bat close.

We had a lovely day. I always feel weird carting food over there to cook, but it was easy stuff, so it was no big deal. Michelle's parents are very nice, even if her dad has the fakest black hair I've ever seen on an older gentleman. :rotfl:
:rotfl2:

Happy Easter everyone. Bill's parents came, his mom got him two new short sleeved polos for Easter and brought me a Disney scrapbooking kit!!

The sliding door on the van quit working , the one that lets the wheelchair ramp out. Goodness knows how much that will cost to fix. Bill's Dad and I think it is a cable that runs the gears. I am now on a search mission to see how it can be fixed :rotfl:.
Yea for the Disney scrapbooking kit!! Boo for the sliding door. I hope you can get it fixed for not too much.

My grandfather would take black shoe polish (YES...shoe polish!!!!) and dye his hair with it in his older years. He would get so mad at my dad as well. LOL My grandfather's hair started turning grey in his 20's. My dad is in his 60's and has very little grey. My grandfather would accuse my dad of coloring his hair all the time. Family...gotta love it!
:rotfl2:

Jess needs new ones so she can have my old ones and I'll get new :rotfl2:
I like your logic, Jo

SD is getting his braces off!!!!!! Whoo Hoo!!!!!
So, that's where I'll be most of the day. Then we'll be celebrating by going out for ice cream.
:yay: for the braces coming off. Are you gonna let him have nuts and caramel in his ice cream?

One thing I didn't mention last night is that when we got in the van to come back, the "diagnostic system" light came on (I'd call it the "check engine" light, but it's not what the manual says. :snooty: :rotfl2:)
My check engine light came on in my van for about 2 weeks and I just couldn't find time to have it looked at. Then it just went off and I am debating on still taking it to get looked at or not. With DH not working I am pinching every penny and poor Abe Lincoln can barely breath because I have such a grip on him.

Here are some pictures from last night/today
great pics !! he is getting big!

The sliding door on the van quit working , the one that lets the wheelchair ramp out. Goodness knows how much that will cost to fix. Bill's Dad and I think it is a cable that runs the gears. I am now on a search mission to see how it can be fixed
hope it isn't too hard to fix!

When we got home my sitter called and asked if Lindsey wanted to spend the night. I sent Linds on her merry little way.
So, that's it. I'm catching up on a DVR'd show and then heading to bed. Night everyone!
ahhh, sounds like a nice relaxing night!

The story continues.....

But before they did it the one guy said I'll make bets I know what it is !! I had not screwed my gas cap on tightly enough!! Can you believe that !! Also if you don't switch the engine off when filling up it can make that light go on!!

Morning :goodvibes

Seems everyone had a good weekend. Ours was fun...we saw Race to Witch Mtn. on Saturday...it was not what I was expecting. It was kind of Fast and the Furious meets ET :confused3 I guess that's what happens when you put the Rock in a movie.

And Easter is a low key holiday at my house.

Busy week planned. DH graduates on Sunday :woohoo::yay::woohoo: so we're planning and packing and cleaning. We've got some fun stuff planned for Gainesville (and a drive by visit to the dept of entomology for #1 son) and then we're off to play for a few days :banana::banana: I can't wait!

Oh, and Kat...be safe, okay? That guy sounds like a wackadoodle.

To answer Dawn and Deb's questions....he requested ice cream. And we are going to Coldstone Creamery so I'm sure he'll add all kinds of things that will be hard to chew!

MEL

Well I had a crappy morning! First, the power goes off in the middle of the night from Thunderstorms so I wake up a little late but no big deal.

It is spring break so MIL is taking the kids to different fun places. So she needs our van which means I am driving DH's truck. His truck smells worse than my van which I am not happy about. Plus I just don't like driving it but find it is a good compromise for free Camp Mimi for 5 kids.

I always stop at mom's on the way to work to get coffee but her power is out too and she has no coffee. I tell her she is fired and that if she can't be more reliable than that then I will just start getting my coffee somwhere else (for those that don't know my mom I was kidding).

Then as I drive to work an 18 wheeler clips a 5 gallon bucket causing it to come over to my lane and I can't swirv to miss it because of traffic. So I have to run over it. It gets stuck under my tire so I have to pull over to get it out. No damage done but I think my heart stopped beating for a second or too.

Get to work and realize that when DH and I swapped keys I forgot to get my work keys. So I have to walk around the building to find an unlocked door.

Get to my desk and realize I also forgot my cellphone.

So I vent to some of the machinist on the floor and tell them that I am starting my day over. They agreed.

So I start my day over. Get to my desk and DH calls....
The guy who interviewed him called and said he wants to make him an offer but they are very corporate and he cannot make one because he has to meet with ALL of the principles and that just hasn't been possible yet. However, there is a project that he needs help with and wants to know if he can start tomorrow as a contractor!!

Glad I started my day over huh? :cloud9:

Debra--yes, that's my Abby--she's 15 (well, 16 next month as she reminds me frequently...)

We're headed to see Hannah Montana at 2---anyone seen it yet?

And yes, I'm having goat problems---Daran comes home for lunch and yells "hey---YOUR goats are in the yard!"
I went out in bedroom slippers and yes,,,,,,,,they greet me in the front yard baaing happily and eating the grass. I got them back in by myself but still don't know how they got out.???????
AND---they won't go in his nice new goat barn----it has cute beige siding to match the house.......and they seem to hate it........they chose to sleep out in the rain.

The sliding door on the van quit working , the one that lets the wheelchair ramp out. Goodness knows how much that will cost to fix. Bill's Dad and I think it is a cable that runs the gears. I am now on a search mission to see how it can be fixed :rotfl:.

I hope everyone had a peaceful, happy day!

Grrrrrr to the door! My mom was in a wheelchair and we had a handicapped van. We had problems with our door as well from time to time until they got a new one. So I know how frustrating it can be when it doesn't work.

Glad you had a good Easter with the inlaws.

Great! Is Lindsey off school tomorrow?

Yes, she's off today. Both kids are home and driving me nuts.

The moral of this tale- WHAT THE F IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE!!!!!!?????

:scared1: What an idiot! Hopefully it will all stop and you won't be having anymore problems.

Off to the supermarket in a minute, then we're off to David's golf range, it's their 15th anniversary and they have lots of stuff going on today including a trick shot display which are always good fun.

It does sound like a busy week and Congrats to your DH! :yay:

:wave2: Hi Angela, Rosie, Margie, and Janet. Glad y'all are having great days!

*****************************************************

We are doing absolutely nothing today. My house is a mess since the kids have been home since Friday and are off today. I have a ton of laundry to get to and dishes in the sink that need to get done. I at least have the family and living room cleaned up.

I was thinking Lindsey would be gone all day with the sitter but remembered she has T-ball practice tonight. Well maybe if this rain stays away which is looking highly unlikely at this minute.

DR has allergies starting and I gave him some Benadryl hoping it will settle him down and he will take a nap. I sooooooooooo need the break from him since it seems his candy high has not worn off. LOL

OK...off to get the kids some lunch and break up yet another fight. :sad2:

We tried to get Reid to eat cotton candy at the carnival Saturday. He would have nothing to do with it! :faint: He did, however, eat two mini cupcakes Auntie made yesterday. ;)
You're such a good Auntie :goodvibes

You got the good end of that deal! :rotfl2:
I know:rotfl2:

Jo: New clubs! Yay! Hope you have a lovely day. What's a trick shot?
It's a show where a guy hits lots of golf shots but with giant clubs, bendy clubs, high tees, off his knees, etc etc :thumbsup2

:rotfl2:

"Kat-on-Call"----------you have to come right over...........the goats won't go in their new shed.......and the dog is afraid of his new house.............and yes.......we're pretty sure you're responsible.........
You mean it's not my fault? Woooohooo :yay:

It is sunny here today, and was yesterday. We're under a FIRE weather warning, though - although it was awfully grey, cool, and cloudy last week, we've apparently not had very much rain and it's very windy, so they are worried about fires.
Yikes, stay safe!

Well no more emails after 2 back and forth. I told the guy There is no need for any further contact at all and that KC will NOT be coming to help him out with anything.
Phew :thumbsup2

Car guys called (already! impressive!) and the diagnostic pinged as a "misfire" of a spark plug. They checked, and the van has never been tuned up - and it's a 2002 with more than 100K miles. :rolleyes1 Whoops! :rotfl: So... It's not that bad, but it's necessary, and it's right around $500. Could be worse, and we need this van to last at least one more year, so... What can you do? :confused3
Could have been worse :thumbsup2
