It's almost bedtime, it's almost bedtime, it's almost bedtime. Well, for Linds at least. I made her get off the computer and she acted like I was the worst mother in the world and saying that she had had a horrible day. :sad2: Drama Queen!

OMG is Jimmy her brother! We got the whole you never let me do anything I want speech going to bed tonight. We wouldn't let him start a 2 hour movie at 7:45 pm. Yeah, we are awful parents:rolleyes1

So, here's the photo I snapped with my phone the day they put them on!
braces1.jpg

and here's a picture from today. NO MORE BRACES! (that star is to cover the kid in the background, who ever he is!)

Yay!!!!

Mel:banana:

He is so handsome Mel. You are going to have to beat the girls off...better get that stick ready;)

My feelings are hurt. :sad1: My BFF's hubby unfriended me on FB. :guilty: I just noticed a minute ago and chatted my friend to ask why.
She said he took a joke I said to be a betrayal. :guilty:

I'm so shocked. Really. I hung out with his wife today and no one said anything. I feel like they all knew and I feel completely stupid now. :sad1: I'm a little pissed about it all too, because they cross the line all the time with their joking. I didn't even say anything really offensive.
It was when he posted something really off the wall and Jodi asked if he was drunk. I said he might be because he does bottle his own wine. I didn't think was a big deal. :sad1:
Hmmm............methinks you may have hit upon a problem...perhaps further surveillance is in order........I'll be right over with the goats and gear! :thumbsup2

TE: The goats ARMY crawl? OMG! Too dang funny! And, I want to know what you wear to do goat surveillance.
Well, this morning the uniform was a old housecoat and boots.......this afternoon is was my blaze orange Carthart overalls.......which makes me blend in with any good road crew.

I think we need video of the goat crawl ::yes::
I'll get right on that.

TE - Sorry about the goat troubles and glad Sugar is able to walk now.

!
Thanks! I enjoy my goaties...........I realized last week that they always come when I yell "here goatie goats!!"..........the horses come too............may have something to do with food!

I love the name Tumnus! :thumbsup2 so how big is the gap theyre crawling under? My mind boggled when I saw my grandmas pregnant appaloosa roll/crawl under the fence. It couldnt have been more than a 2ft tall gap.

:
:lmao: My horses just roll their eyes at the goats! Can't imagine them trying to get under the fence!
The gap is about 18 inches or so..........They get flat on their goat bellies and go under.
Tumnus (named after Mr. Tumnus of course) is pushing 200# so he can't do that!

My goats to date: Tumnus, Noodles (herd mom), Tragos and Snickers (her kids--now 16 months!), Dulce, Sugar, Nestle, and poor Prince died in October. :sad2:

............so Daran comes home and I'm jumping and pointing at the goats in the barnyard.......he says "why did you let them in there??"........................I told him they got in twice after me telling them NO and I told them that YOU would get them when you got home!
............so I went BACK out..........led them to the authorized field........and Daran nailed boards up on all apparent escape routes.
He got the spotlight out just now to see if they were in their new shed..........and nope........they are sitting out in the cold.:headache:

Mel - what a great pic of SD! Is he thrilled to be brace free?

Your kitty looks just like mine! His name is Apollo since hes yellow like the sun. And his brother is Achilles because he has a spot on his heel. I like themed names:rolleyes:

My kitty is named after Christian Bale. When I got him I was obsessed with the movie Newsies.

Now KC is wiring all the electronics. And tomorrow I will deal with the rest. I am tired already and ready to pass out but I have to wait until he's done at least.

Anyways hopefully I'll be up early and get this all done! KC has jury duty tomorrow and hopefully he won't have to stay long and can help me.

Night night!

Where's Krystal been? and Katt???

Such a handsome boy Mel! Like Janet said...get that stick ready. ;)

OMG is Jimmy her brother! We got the whole you never let me do anything I want speech going to bed tonight. We wouldn't let him start a 2 hour movie at 7:45 pm. Yeah, we are awful parents:rolleyes1

 DR wanted to watch The Incedibles and I had told him no. He had just taken some allergy meds and I knew he would be out within an hour. Plus, I wanted to watch The Hills. :rotfl:

TE - Your whole post cracked me up! :lmao:

Holy Moly that thing is HUGE! Glad you got it all put together though. :thumbsup2 Hope you can get some rest and get things more organized tomorrow. Just think once its all set up and looking pretty you'll enjoy it even more.

Thanks everyone. Of course, I think my boys are handsome, but I'm a tiny bit biased! :rotfl2: He loves having them off. He keeps smiling and I caught him looking at himself in the mirror ALOT. ROFL.

Kat: That thing is HUGE. The real question is: Will it fit back OUT the door so that when you move you can bring it? :lmao:

Mo: Don't over do it! Take it easy and rest (like you're doing). It's important!

Today I have to go see Dr. Seigle. NO FUN. I am really not sure what he'll say today. Sometimes, I have an inkling if my eye's been bothering me, but not this time. It's sort of red. I don't know. Just hoping for no needling....

Bob's leaving today for PA and OH. He'll be home Thursday night though. I'm not too broken up about it (I know, that's awful) because I want to watch a couple of "girl" movies and that's a good time to do it. :confused3

Hope everyone has a great day. I'll check in after the appt.

MEL:banana:

Right now playing Bejeweled, it's so addicting!
Have you found the mindjolt games? I love bubble spinner and marble lines :thumbsup2

Jo - Great website and that looks so cool! And yes, my kids too like to change outfits 20 million times a day and leave glasses everywhere. Well, I'm guilty of the glass thing too. :rotfl: Its worse in the summer time since they are home all day and feel that any speck of dirt that gets on them they then have to change. :sad2:
So you're just as bad huh:rolleyes1:rotfl2: Looks like kids everywhere are exactly the same!!!

BA and I tracked them down-----goat surveillance---
they crawl UNDER the neighbors fence into his cow field...........then walk north to a gap in the barnyard fence............then get back in their own barnyard.
And they are still turning their noses up at the new barn.:snooty:

I'll try to get some official surveillance pictures of this operation..........
OMG TE :rotfl2:

My feelings are hurt. :sad1: My BFF's hubby unfriended me on FB. :guilty: I just noticed a minute ago and chatted my friend to ask why.
She said he took a joke I said to be a betrayal. :guilty:
How stupid :sad2: Some people!

So, here's the photo I snapped with my phone the day they put them on!
Fantastic Mel :thumbsup2

I hate drama.:sad2:
Me too!!!!

............so Daran comes home and I'm jumping and pointing at the goats in the barnyard.......he says "why did you let them in there??"........................I told him they got in twice after me telling them NO and I told them that YOU would get them when you got home!
So do they listen to him? It sounds like having very naughty children :rotfl2:

Anyways hopefully I'll be up early and get this all done! KC has jury duty tomorrow and hopefully he won't have to stay long and can help me.
Good luck getting everything done and KC now has jury service? Wow do you guys have to do it a lot?

Today I have to go see Dr. Seigle. NO FUN. I am really not sure what he'll say today. Sometimes, I have an inkling if my eye's been bothering me, but not this time. It's sort of red. I don't know. Just hoping for no needling....
Good luck!

Been trying to get the kids to clean their rooms today :sad2: I have threatened them with bin bags at the end of the holiday for whatever is left untidy :rotfl2: I've cleaned downstairs and hope to get upstairs done and all the ironing later. David has the next 3 days off so I know I won't getanything done :rotfl2:

Kat: That thing is HUGE. The real question is: Will it fit back OUT the door so that when you move you can bring it? :lmao:

Thats what I asked!? KC said "NO". It's held together with dowels mostly so it shouldn't be too hard to take apart as we didn't glue them in, and there are big screws on all 4 corners too but they aren't too bad to get out. But for $100 I'm kinda over worrying about later.

Hope the Dr went well! :goodvibes

Good luck getting everything done and KC now has jury service? Wow do you guys have to do it a lot?

They just happened to find us both with9in 6 months, neither of us ever had to go before. and now we won't have to go for another 8 years.

==========================================

Morning Fockers! Bright and early for me!

Why? Because, YET AGAIN I am waiting on someone else. A friend of KC's is moving and needed some letter of reference from us, so he is picking it up today. he said 8am, it's now 8:23am. KC left 45 min ago so i just got up since there's so much work to do here.

KC HAD to wire all his electronics last night and put them in the unit. This is exactly as I asked him NOT to do but I gave up after too long of a day. But that mean no TV still so I am currently downloading last night's TV shows. Thanks you internets! :thumbsup2 Also I think I wanna move the stuff he wired. he's gonna kill me over that one. :confused3

I also don't think we can save the other unit (I wanted to collapse it and store it because I really like it) because of a screw that seems lodged in there. Just another thing to tackle today.

Anyways I have procrastinated enough! Happy Tuesday.

He got the spotlight out just now to see if they were in their new shed..........and nope........they are sitting out in the cold.:headache:

Does it smell funny to them?

Look to it compared to our old one....(MESS WARNING)

Looking good!

Today I have to go see Dr. Seigle. NO FUN. I am really not sure what he'll say today. Sometimes, I have an inkling if my eye's been bothering me, but not this time. It's sort of red. I don't know. Just hoping for no needling....

Good thoughts for you, hun.

Have you found the mindjolt games? I love bubble spinner and marble lines :thumbsup2

Uh, oh - more addictions? :lmao:

David has the next 3 days off so I know I won't getanything done :rotfl2:

:rotfl:I totally understand. ;)

Morning all no time to catch up have to run to work !!!

Have a good day, Rosie! :goodvibes

****************************************************
Well, I need to leave in about a minute for my crazy day. I am going to stay at the gym until after my match, this time, so I won't be home until a bit before 3:00 - and then I'll head back to the gym with the kids by 3:30.

I hope that you all have a fantastic day! :grouphug:

Morning :goodvibes

Mel, you have a mighty handsome young man there. I'm glad he's happy his braces are off. Good luck at the Dr.

Kat, watch your back with all that moving, okay?

***************

Not much going on today. #1 son has decided he can't stand his hair anymore so we're getting it cut this afternoon. It's long. Seriously. It falls to the middle of his shoulder blades. It looks great but he can't stand it anymore. I'll try to get a before and after pic for you (but I don't know if he'll let me!)

I hope everyone has a great day!

The braces are off!!!!!
Yay!!! :yay:

OMG, you've got some seriously smart goats TE!

(oh and I was able to take some steps today with no crutches, but still can't get that darn shoe on)
Hang in there Mo - it'll get better!

Today I have to go see Dr. Seigle. NO FUN. I am really not sure what he'll say today. Sometimes, I have an inkling if my eye's been bothering me, but not this time. It's sort of red. I don't know. Just hoping for no needling....
Me too Mel.

*****************************************************

What a crap day. Leo came home with yet another note form his teacher, with more of the same stupid complaint: "Leo chose not to do the work assigned this morning. Instead he just sat there - he really missed out."

OMG, this is ridiculous - WHY does he even get a "choice"?!?! I've discussed this ad nauseum with the teacher; I'm just over it at this point. I wrote out a lengthy note asking, again, why he's given a choice and what repercussions result from not doing the work (I already know that - none :sad2:).

Also, when asked why he didn't do the work, Leo said he didn't understand the instructions but can't ask for help - he's been told not to because the teacher's "too busy."

In the end, I opted not to send the lengthy note (not like she's listened in the past), and went with: "He may have been tired, but he also said he didn't understand the work but isn't allowed to ask for help." Ball in her court.

I wound up first stress-FBing while Leo bathed (thanks for letting me vent Janet!), then searching the private school options online for a couple hours. It's not pretty: monthly payments would be 1 and a half times my mortgage payment. It might be possible with financial aid, but there'd be absolutely nothing left over - no savings, no vacations, nothing. Awfully risky.

So I really don't know what to do from here. Academically, he's performing at grade level, though I'm certain he could be preforming higher given the opportunity. He's a quick learner and won't qualify for special assistance; it only took 5 minutes for me to explain the topic he was confused about last night and he had it down. But I'm not sure he'd test "Gifted" either.

He goes to another school next year. I don't know if he just got a crappy teacher this year and things will different next year, or if this is the new standard. I'm considering contacting the principal of the new school and telling him what's been going on and asking what I might expect next year. I'm also thinking about contacting some private schools and trying to find out what and how much financial aid might be available. I suspect I'll fall into the "makes too much to qualify for aid - makes too little to pay full tuition" category. :sad1:

Sorry to ramble on. I'm open to any and all ideas and suggestions. I'm just.... lost. :worried:

Morning everyone! Notice I didn't say "good". I think I finally caught the virus that's going through the Fockers. Thank goodness it's not the stomach virus, but just a sinus thing. My head is all stuffed up and I can't think straight. I've got the fuzzy head thing going on. So, if I type something crazy, that's my excuse!

I've been keeping up, but I don't have the energy to quote anything.

We've got nothing to do today. At the big school festival a few weeks ago, I won DD7 a movie & a snack with her teacher in our silent auction. She and a friend of her choosing get to stay after school today and watch a movie and have a snack with their teacher. I don't have to pick her up until 5:30pm. So, it's just me and DD5 all day today, with nothing to do. I'm not so sure that's a good thing though, as she's already whining about being bored. And, of course, I don't feel like doing anything at all. :headache: I need to clean my house. Maybe I can bribe her into helping me by paying her a quarter or two to help. Then, maybe we'll go shopping at the dollar store.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Well 45,000(thats what cast members told me) of our closest friends were in Disney with us last week, HOLY CROWDED!!!!!The parks closed several times due to maximum capacity.IT WAS A ZOO!!!Thank goodness we can navigate well and have been there enough that we dont feel we need to stand on line for much of anything. We are there enough that we will just get to it next trip. The most we waited was 15mins anywhere cause if the line was more than that I was NOT standing on it.We actually did everything we wanted and more!!
MY BABY Bashful decided this trip he was NOT going to miss out on ANYTHING. He is just barely 40 inches so we told him he may have some problems and he wasnt taking no for an answer.
OK ...NO FLAMES HERE...I would NEVER put my child in ANY danger..
He rode BTMRR and loved it so next we went to SPLASH the CM said he could not go as he wasnt tall enough(you could MAYBE squeeze a stick of gum between him and the top bar. Bashful was MAD. So P thought of a quick fix..I had socks with me in the stroller and we took 2 maps and folded them up and stuck them in his socks and then put on the socks and crocs. Bashful went up and measured just fine and was able to ride BTMRR,SPLASH,TT,SOARIN,DINOSAUR with no problem at all thanks to as he called them his"MAGIC SOCKS"
My kids have no fear God bless them. I however hated SPLASH and almost had heart failure everytime we went down that BIG DROP!!!Of course we had to ride several times( I think 5)I have never done that before. Happy and P do it all the time and love it and to be honest I didnt think Bashful would like it, but he did!!!

ALSO whats with the cheap paper plates for kids meals. My kids love the black plastic mickey shaped plates and this trip it was cheap dixie plates..WTH.
OH we got to stay an extra day as out flt home Saturday was at 715pm we got to apt approx 6 and they are just getting the gate set up and I go to see if we are on time and the agent says we are delayed:headache::headache:
I asked how long and she says a while:mad::mad:
Turns out the EARLIEST we would depart was MIDNIGHT but more likely after that. I was not sitting around an apt for that long with 2 kids. We just booked a flt for Sunday(Easter) and then went to re-rent a car and headed back to DISNEY!!!
OH and it was COLD for 3 days--we had on fleece jackets and pants!!!

V- So sorry you are dealing with all that! I'd go to the principal at the new school just to be sure it's a good fit.

Margie - Welcome back! I think the whole stuffing maps in the shoes was a crack up! I don't get why some "thrill rides" will let kids go and some won't and the difference is like 1/2 inch!?

Jodi- Sorry you aren't feeling well!

**********************************
Would someone come over and help me with all this because I just don't wanna do anymore! ;):rotfl:

I need to rewire some of what KC did yesterday (its why I asked him to wait in the first place) and its hard work. Plus with my back I work for a few min and rest a few, so its taking foreverrrrr.

KC might be on a jury! They are breaking now so he will find out shortly if he has to stay or come back for a jury.

Also I am STILL waiting for this dumb guy to come for this oh-so-important letter. MEH.

back to my King Of Queens marathon, we still have no tv hooked up.

Hmmm............methinks you may have hit upon a problem...perhaps further surveillance is in order........I'll be right over with the goats and gear!

We looked into the same options for Jimmy when we were having all the problems in the beginning of the year. All I can say is :faint:

He goes to another school next year. I don't know if he just got a crappy teacher this year and things will different next year, or if this is the new standard. My philosophy for financial aid is that it never hurts to try ::yes::

Morning everyone! Notice I didn't say "good". I think I finally caught the virus that's going through the Fockers.

Hi everyone, IM BACK

Welcome back T2:goodvibes

Well 45,000(thats what cast members told me) of our closest friends were in Disney with us last week, HOLY CROWDED!!!!!The parks closed several times due to maximum capacity.

Mom told me it was packed last week. The restaurants were ven busy. They called her in a couple of days she wasn't scheduled to work because they had so many ADR's.

Shoot. I wish I would have thought of Magic socks for jimmy last year. He missed riding Primevil Whirl by a pinkie:headache:

ALSO whats with the cheap paper plates for kids meals. My kids love the black plastic mickey shaped plates and this trip it was cheap dixie plates..WTH.

More budget cuts I guess :sad2:

====================================================

Crazy day at work. I have been meetings all morning and am on my way to another one. I had a few minutes inhale my egg salad sandwich and check in with you all. It's raining and miserable here.

Did we hear from Angela today. I signed up for weather alerts last year when we were in WDW and never turned them off...Orange County is under a Sever Thunderstorm and Tornado warning. Angela check in please:flower3:

Have a great day everyone. Check in later in I can. If not I'll be back tonight!

Hello! I'd like to join TFW. I never knew this existed and what a shame. I need to add some lime green in my life. DD has a diaper with limes on it. I think that's all we have here.

Just wondering how many TFW's have you seen at Disney? How many times have you given the sign to be given another sign or dirty look in response? How do I know if the person is a DIS'er or is just crazy for lime green?

Hi Janet! Thanks for worrying about me. :goodvibes The weather alarm went off at 5.30 this morning and continued to go off until I left the house at 10. It hadn't started raining when I left, but, of course, it poured whilst I was in the car. I think the worst is over by now though. :thumbsup2

Welcome Lisa! I'm Angela, SAHM to two cats. We moved from Memphis to Orlando several years ago and have been enjoying out Disney AP! :)

Kat, you're way more patient than I would be, about a lot of things. :rolleyes1

Magic shoes! :rotfl:

Jodi, feel better.

V, no suggestions, sorry.

Thanks everyone. Of course, I think my boys are handsome, but I'm a tiny bit biased! :rotfl2: He loves having them off. He keeps smiling and I caught him looking at himself in the mirror ALOT. ROFL.

Have you found the mindjolt games? I love bubble spinner and marble lines :thumbsup2

I found those the other day and that is so addicting!

So you're just as bad huh:rolleyes1:rotfl2: Looks like kids everywhere are exactly the same!!!

Yeah I can't complain about my kids when it comes to glasses. The kids went with their father this past Christmas to my ex-BIL's house. The ex's girlfriend came as well. But when Lindsey got home she asked for something to drink and I normally give them coffee mugs to drink out of. Well, a few hours later she asked for another drink and I get another mug down. She then says to me, 'No mama. Amber (dad's girlfriend) says you don't have to use a new one each time.' The only thing that ran through my mind was well good for Amber but I'm gonna do what I want to do in my own house. :sad2:

Been trying to get the kids to clean their rooms today :sad2: I have threatened them with bin bags at the end of the holiday for whatever is left untidy :rotfl2: I've cleaned downstairs and hope to get upstairs done and all the ironing later. David has the next 3 days off so I know I won't getanything done :rotfl2:

I did that all weekend with my kids and their toyroom. Its still not cleaned.

Also, when asked why he didn't do the work, Leo said he didn't understand the instructions but can't ask for help - he's been told not to because the teacher's "too busy."

That is not even right!:headache: There have been a few times Lindsey has come home with notes on her papers saying had to re-do this 2 times before following directions, not listening to directions and had to re-do, etc. I would definately make the principal aware of the situation.

I feel for ya V and hope you can find something for Leo.:hug::hug: Why will he be going to a new school next year? If you know anyone in the new school or teachers there can you get recomendations from them on what teachers are good and will challange Leo? I was going to ask Lindsey's teacher about this but she brought it up to me the other week. She will definately recommend that Lindsey goes with this one certain teacher next year because she knows she will challenge Lindsey and will keep her on the right tract. Lindsey needs that and her teacher this year has done an excellent job! I just hope when DR goes that he gets her as well. LOL

 Hi Jodi! I feel the same way with the sinuses. Mine, I think, are allergies though. DR's the same way and is napping now.

:lmao: Love it! Glad you guys had a great time and got that extra day in.
 to the crowds!

:wave2: Hi Rosie, Kat, CE, Kate, and Janet. Sorry if I forgot anyone.

****************************************************

Linds went back to school today. DR is taking a nap on the couch after taking some allergy meds. The cat is curled up next to him. The weather here is so crappy. I want sun!

I've done some laundy and cleaned up the kitchen and family room. I have no idea what I'm making for dinner but I'm getting sick of ham. :rotfl: Maybe I'll just do some hamburgers and hotdogs.

Not much else to report. Hope y'all are having a good Tuesday!
