Ok, number one rule about APOLOGIZING:
I'm sorry means: I feel bad for hurting you. (emotionally, physically etc) I will not do it again.

I tell my kids this at least once a week. It does NOT mean:
I'm sorry you grounded me for hurting you. I will apologize so you UNground me and then do it again some time in the future because I didn't learn a lesson.

You did great, Jen. Stick to your guns. UNBOB says that this is the FENCE between us and our children in jail for holding up liquor stores....

Me too! They said it we are on the front northeast side of the storm we could see 100+ mph winds!
As of the news last night almost all the spaghetti models said it's headed here on Friday/Saturday.
We could use the rain, but not all that wind or flooding.

Our allergies are off the chart today; I can barely see my eyes are so puffy and itchy and watery... Leo's covered in hives. Doncha just love ragweed season.

Yuck! Something's in the air here too, because I have a lot of headaches lately and just feel yucky.

Well, shortly, I will be leaving to "highlight" my lighter bits in my hair. I'm so nervous. I've never had foils...only all over dying! Wish me luck. I just don't want to look like a zebra or a leopard!

Jodi got done with her surgery around 11:30 AM. They took out "Junior" which was the size of a baby head, and took off a cyst off the other ovary. The other ovary was perfectly intact and functioning and both cysts were benign. She's still in recovery now but will be in her room within the hour. Thanks for your prayers, good wishes, as they're all appreciated. -- DH Eric

Good morning all. Took Jimmy to school for his second day. We got there and his friend Matt got there at the same time. We go into the room, put his lunch and snack away, hang up his backpack and he give me a hug a kis, say's I'll miss you mom - Bye. Guess he is over his nervousness

After I dropped in off I ran to Staples and mailed my packages. After that I decided to take 1 hour for myself. I went to the store and bought a newspaper and then I went to Friendly's and had breakfast. It was so relaxing. After that I went to Lowes and bought all the paint and stuff so Jim can start painting this week. Got back and am now hanging out here for a while before I straighten up the family room, so we can put more carp down here while Jim is painting the upstairs.

I just e-mailed Katt to ask how she is. I may try and call her later, but things are wicked busy here and I have to focus on the kids schoolwork once lunch is over.

I have been cranky about getting our hotel booked for a trip in December and it's finally fiugred out. Now I have a headache from trying to get it all settled with my SIL.

I'd better eat before the kids are ready to do more school. Catch you al later!

The kids are off today for a Teacher Development day...they have only been in school for 2 weeks!! the teachers had all summer to Develop!!!

Well, I had my brother, sister-in-law, and my two nieces over for dinner. Only...I couldn't enjoy it because Jon had a 'tude night.

It has been a long time since I felt the need to ground him. But, I had to tonight.

I asked him to do something, and he immediately got attitude. Which he has been doing lately. I told him last time that the next time I asked him to do something and he copped a tude, I was grounding him. Which I did. Momma follows through.

He then begged and cried, which only ticked me off even MORE...
So then I had to threaten him within an inch of his life.

And I couldn't even sit down and enjoy my dinner with my family.

Then he apologizes, on his own...which that's good. EXCEPT, he expected me to forgo his punishment because he was sorry.

Let me think about that for a minute...NO!

I finally put him to bed 1/2 an hour early.

Kids. And their tudes. Ruined my dinner.

Well at least he knows u mean business!

Ok I uploaded the video. You have to hear really closely for the song I thought I had recorded longer, but then some kid in the background started screeching (you can hear Yani unintelligbly complaining in Spanish in the background ).


Mel: We're fine we are feeling the outer bands of Ike's winds and I'm so glad he didn't hit, because the winds are sorta strong.

Yes, Yani is a good friend she was feeling crappy that weekend in Disney though. I miss snow. You know you're always free to escape to Miami when the ILs arrive.

Ok, I'm off. Gonna watch some HGTV or watch a movie.

Yani muttering in spanish? Never! I still giggle about how much i understood and how funny it was when I;d laugh at the right time and you'd both look at me and laugh! I miss u!!!

Just watched the first episode of True Blood. It totally drew me in, can't wait for more episodes to come out. Now I need to go find the books it is based off of.

It was pretty good! Def very similar to the books so far. It made me wanna read them again but my never ending bookshelf calls. They are a really fun read tho! http://www.charlaineharris.com/ it's a list of all her books.

I had meeska's DD this morning (Kaia). That's all I'll say about that.

I have been considering highlights myself. I did the root touch up job and it seems to have worked wonders for my bad hair color! Next I need a hair cut to get rid of some more dark ends.
