First of all, Moms in Touch groups can be for any school. Our system has groups for about half the schools. They're totally parent led. In fact, we aren't allowed to advertise at the school or through the school newsletter. So, it's purely by word of mouth. My neighbor (the one with breast cancer) told me about the group when DD7 was going into kindergarten and I've tried to attend since. It really does make me feel better. And today I found out that my DD7's 2nd grade teacher used to be in a MIT group when her oldest was in high school. That makes me happy.
