Team Focker Watch Chat Part 5.5: The Less-Cursed Version

Happy Jen Day!!! ​

Is it really Friday already? Well, we're off to Moms in Touch this morning. It's a group of moms that pray for our school and our kids. Today is our first meeting of the year, so it's more of a get-to-know-you type of thing today. I love it and it makes me feel so much better about putting my kids in public school.

Then, I think we're going to hit Wal-Mart. I need to return a kickstand I bought for DD7's bike. It didn't fit -- too long. She finally learned to ride her bike without training wheels about two weeks ago, but her bike doesn't have a kickstand. She's about outgrown the bike anyway, so we'll just deal with it until her birthday when we'll just get her a bigger bike.

I spent some time going through closets yesterday to try to figure out what the girls need for school. DD4 and I went "shopping" in the basement for clothes and hit the jackpot. She's finally grown into a bunch of clothes I had for DD7 when she was 2 1/2 and 3 years old! I'm not so lucky with DD7. She's got two pair of pants that she can still wear from last year. So, it's looking like we'll have to hit the stores soon (before it gets colder). Right now she can wear shorts/skorts/capris to school, but when it gets cooler, she's out of luck!

Today K is off work at noon. We were supposed to go to my friend's house (the one who's MIL died Wednesay), but had decided to postpone the trip when we realized how sick her MIL was. So, K and I decided he's been working so hard he should still be off early today. We're going to breakfast in the morning and doing some lazy daisy fun stuff. I think the girls and I will go shopping around the square here in town to see what we can see tomorrow.

So, all in all, it should be a nice weekend.

What's your given name? Jennifer Louise

Why were you given your particular name? Jennifer was the most popular name in the 70's & Louise was my great grandmothers name.

How many brothers and sisters do you have? 1 birth brother who I haven't had contact with since I was 11, 2 "brothers" who are really my cousins, but my aunt and uncle raised me from 11 on. One was born after I moved in, so he didn't know I was really his cousin until he was like 15. Never, came up and he never put 2 and 2 together.

What is your favorite thing to do? "Eat my kids up!", Scrapbook & DIS

What is your favorite food? Tie~ Mexican and Chinese

What is your favorite book? Shel Silverstein's Giving Tree

What is your favorite candy bar? Mars Bar... but can't find them in MN!

What is your favorite sport? I hate doing all of them. Love watching Ice skating and Gymnastics.

What is your favorite kind of music? I love good 80's music and Disney music from the Parks.

What is your favorite song? Wishes and Animal Kingdom Parade Theme song

What do you want to be when you grow up? I really love being a stay at home mom. If I needed a different career, I'd love to be a Disney Trip planner or caterer

How many kids did you want when you got married? 2-3 depending on how hard 2 was to handle. Now I want the 3rd... but I am cut off (unless I go Katt's suggested method)

How many kids do you have? 2 - DS (6.9) & TINK (3.7)

What place would you like to visit? Greece!

What is your favorite thing about yourself? I am creative and think outside of the box!

Do you like to sing? Yes... not so good at it anymore though

Do you like to dance? Yes, but my breasticles have headed south quite a bit and they make for an uncomfortabally funny show when I do.

What musical instruments can you play? I used to know the piano a bit

Is this for a private school? I have never heard of it, but it sounds interesting.

Sad news today. My grandma passed away last night. I prayed that she would be sent straight into my grandpa's arms. They were married 63 years and today, in heaven I hope they dance together today. She was an awesome lady. Even a Rosie the riveter during WWII! She had the best laugh and somehow made even salad taste amazing.

Sad news today. My grandma passed away last night. I prayed that she would be sent straight into my grandpa's arms. They were married 63 years and today, in heaven I hope they dance together today. She was an awesome lady. Even a Rosie the riveter during WWII! She had the best laugh and somehow made even salad taste amazing.

Isn't it always nice to shop in your own closets. I can't do that too much since I have that boy/girl combo but I love getting hand me downs from friends.

Yep, you are right in that Gymbo got some new stuff in (Dots & Dogs for girls Pirates for boys) and they are having a sale right now...30% off everything and you can earn Gymbucks. I just shopped the sale. LOL

1)I drive a Chrysler Town & County and HATE it!!! I have no idea what I was thinking when I bought it. I'm hoping to trade it in soon for either a small SUV or a car.

I love it so far. The hardest thing to get used to is all the room I don't have now compared to my suburban.

I also just got a text from Mel saying that her and Bob are eating cheeseburgers at the Pop pool.

I just got back from Target. I bought new towels and cup holders for our bathroom. We've been here two years and our towels didn't match the new house. I'm going to try and wash them before K gets home and act like I don't know what he's talking about when he asks if they're new!
They're so fluffy and thick. Makes me want to take a nice bath...
