Yeah, I guess that wouldn't work. After I posted it, I thought about all the carp they'd haul into the tent and seemed like a bad idea!We've got a tent. It's actually set up on our deck right now and they've been playing in it for the past few weeks. So, even though it's a great idea, I don't think it's "special" enough for an entire Saturday.
Now that DD7 has been in school for almost two weeks, she thinks the weekends have to be something really special. If it's hot, she wants to go to the pool. And I'm okay with that, as long as she and her sister will play in the water and let me read a book!
Otherwise, we may go to the zoo or the park.
The grocery store I go to is also having a sale on Saturday, so we'll have to run up there too. I just wish DH was going to be home at least a little bit because I hate taking them both to the store. Oh well, he leaves early Sat. am and gets home Sunday evening. At least that's one less kid I have to worry about, right?

That is a nice class size. I heard a teacher in Office Depot Saturday saying there are 5 Kinders and they all have about 25 kids.Dawn...that is an awesome idea!!! I just may have to do that with mine sometime next week before school starts.
I went to Lindsey's orientation a little early. It was to be at 4PM but my sitter cancelled on me so I took both kids in to meet her teacher and get the handouts that I needed to fill out.
Her teacher seems really nice but I think will be very strict (which Lindsey will need). I think it will be a good fit overall. I looked at the list of kids in her class and there are a few on there that she went to preschool with. I tried finding her preschool pic when we got home to point the kids out to her but can't seem to find it. There are 3 Kindy classes 2 with 18 kids and 1 with 15 so not a bad total class size wise. We live in a very small town and I guess I'm not used to the smaller classes with fewer kids. Heck, the high school I graduated from had 400 some graduating seniors.
There's no way my son would do well in a class that large. He's an active kid and I can just imagine him getting in trouble for not sitting still!

I remember B just wearing whatever she wanted with tennis shoes on PE days. I always made her wear shorts under her skirts, though. Even on the playground she needed them. The best thing to get is the Danskin brand bike-shorts style shorts at Academy. They only come in black and white (maybe light pink), I think, but at least they're not bulky.

Here the kids can't wear shorts or tank tops. How crazy is that?! It's 100 degrees here!

My friend just called and her MIL died last night. She couldn't talk too much about it since the girls were in the car with her, but it already sounds like everyone's at peace more than Tuesday when I last talked to her.
