OMG Dawn I say that all the time...It is frustrating. Thankfully I have never had to deal with that and hopefully I wont --but lots of my friends have


The only teachers I really remember were my elementary school ones and I cant really choose because there were so many great ones. I went to a small school and everyone knew everyone. Everyone was very involved. It was such a great introduction to schooling. Gave me a good outlook.

I didnt really care for my 5th grade teacher Mrs Vecchione. She was really old,cranky,crabby and NO FUN. No challenges. Noone liked her much.

Cranky and crabby? Yuck.
It's great that you had a great schooling experience.
I just thought it was so boring. I didn't enjoy learning at all.

Well, we're home from the pool. The weather forecast said 89, so that's why I thought the pool was a good idea. However, it's probably not even 80 out right now and we were COLD!!!! We decided that coming home, putting clothes on and going to the park was a better idea. But, now that we're home, DD has decided that she wants to watch a movie. She says her tummy hurts, so she's just laying on the sofa right now. I figure I'll take advantage of it and do some cleaning and some

Well, we're home from the pool. The weather forecast said 89, so that's why I thought the pool was a good idea. However, it's probably not even 80 out right now and we were COLD!!!! I don't swim unless I sweat when I walk out the door, so I don't blame you for coming home.

Sorry Guys.. Not been around much this week. Scott left for Boston Sunday but he will be home today. Sarabeth is supposed to be helping and cleaning her room... but that has not happened either.
I have cleaned the kitchen CEILING, Ceiling fan.. All the way down to under the sink.. Installed new liner under the sink and cleaned the refrigerator. Cleaned the dining room and all the chairs. All ceiling fans upstairs.. Dusted everything.. Wiped walls.
I woke up late ( 8:00) it is cloudy and rainy here today but not like FLORIDA.
I miss the gang.. But glad I AM NOT THERE.
I tried to post twice today... both times the "Dis" said I was NOT LOGGED IN.... and then the internet froze up.

I want to be a successful Music writer. Now when I say "I" I do not mean me solely.
I’ll explain ...
I have been working on a Christmas Musical for a few years.. Just have not sat down to finish it... because there is ALWAYS SOMETHING ELSE THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. In 5 years I would like to have an armful of music that churches could do. Not just Christmas... but all year as well.
When I "write" something.. I actually hear it in my head.. The words.. The music... the instruments. It did not happen like this in College... I could not write "3 Blind Mice" if I wanted too.
So what I actually do is "Take Dictation" I have written nothing.. What I have done is write down what GOD has given me. That is why I call my Company.. "Jesus and Me Productions"Because He is First and Gives me everything.. All that I NEED and a LOT of my WANTS.
It would also be totally AWESOME ( and yes this would be a GOD thing) for us to be doing a Christmas Program that I was involved in and it was done with the Roanoke Symphony and be so Popular that we have to do an extended schedule maybe for a month..
That may or may not happen... but.. I really can see us doing "my "music at my Church... Because some of that will be happening in the next few months.

How about this one... Who was your (child's) least favorite teacher and why? Who was your (child's) favorite teacher and why?

MY DD has only been to pre-school and the two teachers she's had have both been great and I can't complain.

I guess I could go with my least and favorite though...

Least: Mrs. Culp-8th Grade Algebra: I struggled with this class so much and she didn't take time to explain how you got to the answer. Just took things straight from the text book and then when it came time for a test nothing we had worked on or the examples from the book were ever on the test. I think I ended up with a D in that class and that was so not like me. Sad thing though was when I went into high school and took Algebra 2 I passed that with flying colors.

Favorite: Mrs. Marion-3rd Grade: I don't know exactly what makes her my favorite it's just that she sticks out in my head and pushed me to be a good student.

Not much planned for me today. Just been doing laundry and cleaning a bit. I have Lindsey's Kindy Orientation tonight. It's at 4PM and that is just such a weird time to have it. Why not at 5 or 6PM? I'm actually hoping to make it because my sitter called me this morning and told me that she might not be able to make it to watch the kids. I've tried calling other people and either no one is home or they are busy.

So, that's my day in a nutshell. Laundry is calling my name along with the kids.

ON the teachers...

Sara's WORST and most HATED teacher ( by me too) was 4th Grade.. MRS EMILY FLOWERS.. GLEN COVE ELEM.. ( just in case I have Roanoke Va stalkers) Her attitude.. Lying, and Disreguard for my daughter.

Favorite Teacher would be 1st Grade.. Sherrie Gardner.. she is no longer at Glen Cove .. and it is our loss. We are still in touch with Mrs. Gardner.. and if Sara is Performing anywhere.. Sherrie is ALWAYS there.

I play every once in awhile in our church's orchestra, but have really wandered far from my music days. I used to sing all the time. I even sang with the Alexandria (VA) Choral Society when we lived up near DC. But, kids tend to take all your hobbies away from you, right? Now that my littlest is almost 5, maybe I'll get back into a few activities that don't revolve around them!

I have rough drafts... and works in process. Just need to work hard and finish them.. but since I never leave the house.. (even though I have my own office/studio.. I am still at home).. and there is always something that needs attention my music sits unfinished which is wrong.. I'd have to do a CD and mail it when ever I get something "Perfect enough" to send it.. I also am cursed with a "Perfectionist Nature"
That reminds me... the song that I have tried to compress and send to you called "Giants".. I just can not get it small enough to send. Might have to mail that to you.

Katt - You should definitely make it to Hawaii one day. The Arizona Memorial is amazing. DH took me there a few years ago and Pearl Harbor was my favorite part of the trip. I'm a history buff though...
