Glad to know I am not alone in the hate of cover letters. I would just do the copy thing like you guys suggested but I was applying for a job here at the university so I was trying to make it more "personal" vs generic here I am by mentioning my education and work experience here, blah, blah, blah.

The job is a long shot but there is no harm in applying and I may get lucky and get an interview.

kate--i agree about the national anthem---I've tried to sing along and it's all messed up. On one swimmer it got cut short and Pres. Bush was there! How hard is it to find a decent copy? they get it right at HS football games! (well, some singers are better than others, but still!)

Well, my Nana's birthday party went fine--she's really not 90 till Sept but some relatives were vistiting from CA so we had it early.

Why DO the swimmers wear a bodysuit??

Speedo made these new LZR suits that channel water more effectively then bare skin - swimmers have been annihilating times in them!

My Farewell BBQ for my "brother" went well. I felt a bit left out in my own home. No one offers to help with the food, so I run around and cook and clean up. While my "guests" all sit and visit. I don't see many of the cousins and uncle and aunts who came, very often... but they all see each other. I am never invited to anything though... Since my "mom" has been gone I feel like I pretty much have lost my whole family.

It really doesn't fell very good.

Been doing some WDW training, we took the girls on the 5 ish mile walk we do and we did it in 1 hour and 50 mins with no moaning

I didn't';t know either Janet, till my friend said that was ALL her kids wanted for Hanukkah last year. Think virtual pet, only you have a real stuffed animal with some code that allows it to "live" online. They're not big around here (uh, 75% off at Walgreens!) , but apparently huge in the Buffalo suburbs.

I have done a load of laundry already and I'm thinking about getting up and going to a park with the kids. The next few days will bring rain, rain and more rain. I also need to try and finish my next TR update... I seem to have forgotten how much work this was!

They do not have a REAL CHAT room for safety reasons.I have been on there quite a bit and it's a pretty safe place for kids to play.

Dad Update

They have given him Coumadin (I believe it is a blood thinner---Rachel? TE?) and according to mom he is doing great and they are discharging him today or tomorrow. He has to get 3 or 5 shots of coumadin (I can't remember what my mom said),but the nurse will come to the house to do it. So, it sounds like it is good news and you hopefully will all get to meet him at the Biergarten!

They have given him Coumadin (I believe it is a blood thinner---Rachel? TE?) and according to mom he is doing great and they are discharging him today or tomorrow. He has to get 3 or 5 shots of coumadin (I can't remember what my mom said),but the nurse will come to the house to do it. So, it sounds like it is good news and you hopefully will all get to meet him at the Biergarten!

Good Afternoon Fockers!

Wow...do I have a lot to catch up on! Sorry for being MIA this past week but I've been so busy with the kids - doctor appts, shopping for school, playing in the park, etc. Our weather has been extremely nice these past few days and I want to take full advantage of the nice weather with NO humidity!

Anyone want to do a catch up post for me or direct me to one that has been done recently. I know some of you are getting ready for your big trips for Fockerfest...a week left, right?

jo,can't believe your trip is so close! All you traveling Fockers are getting close....

Margie(hope thats right) and Mel,I have been there too with losing kids.Does break your heart.i had a little girl in my home for over a year,best friends with Rachel at the time.Her mom took her somewhere else with no warning or explanation.Found out later through a friend that she had slipped up and called me mama several times and she was afraid I was replacing her.

V,loved looking throgh the pictures.

I know there was more but its all mixed up in my head.

IF DH and I get all our debt paid off (the truck didn't sell like it was supposed so we are still waiting) and IF I can save my part....it will be me and the three younger kids and my mom.DH and Tyler don't want to go. At least it makes it MUCH cheaper.
