And don't forget a follow up thank you note if you get the interview, I hate those more than cover letters.

Okay, nobody ever told me about those before. Stupid resume classes. :headache:

One thing I am nervous about with the job is that the closing date is this Friday. I am so nervous that they are going to actually want an interview but it will be during my vacation.:scared: I'll just have to keep my phone on while in the parks just in case they call and pray that I can get an interview for when I get back.

No, I won't be in FLA that whole time:sad2: I wish. We return from FLA on the 29th, so I will be here after that. I would never desert you like that Sheriff:hug:

They have given him Coumadin (I believe it is a blood thinner---Rachel? TE?)
Yup it's a Blood thinner. Those scare me. Side effects are NOT GOOD. But being a "Blood thinner" you can understand why.
AND HAS A HUGE LIST of things it should NOT BE TAKEN WITH.

Kind of makes me think of TE's Dad and his RA meds.. they make him Susceptable to things like Pneumonia and potential Spesis.. but to stop taking the meds... puts him in pain... and will also be fatal eventually.. so you pray for the meds to work and you incurr no complications. Right TE ??

:hug: :hug: :hug: to Janet and TE.. and to Dawn and all of you guys with older, and sick parents :hug: :hug: ANd KIDS:hug: :hug: :hug:

And if you were not included above....

Grab yourself a HUG !!!

Oh Janet... Your Jimmy might just love playing the games.. especially the "Kinzville Acadamy". There is activities that can be done alone.. LOTS OF THEM.

Sending you a P.M.

:woohoo: I have 5 more days after today, Tues - Thurs this week and only Mon/Tues next week

:cool1: :cool1:

Kelly can tell you all about them at Fockerfest, she has several dozen:eek:

Cool:thumbsup2

Glad he is heady home.

Make sure if he is going to the dentist or anything liek that he tells them aobut the shots, very important.

Thanks for the tip. I will let my mom know!

Boy Rosie, you must have a lot of clean clothes now;)

:rotfl2:

Oh this is so bad and I need hugs from you all. I told P parents that she needed some preschool. We talked and I figured they would put he in a half day program some place and then they came in today and said they were putting her in a full day home daycare/preschool. I am just numb and sad and feel like someone is taking my child. I have cared for her since she was 10 months old. Her and my son are best friends. She loves me but to the parents I am just the sitter. My son and her will not see each other any more. I know some will say oh ya they will have play dates but I know in my heart it will not happen. The two of them have been asking for a play date for months now and her parents do not plan one. They never seemed to like me. They knew I took good care of P but never cared for me as a friend. KWIM. I just feel like I am going to die inside.

:hug: :hug:

I do, but it's because I'm weird and actually like owning the original with all the cover art and what not. Same goes with DVDs. But that's only if I know I'll like the CD. I am so not buying a CD for 1 or 2 songs I like.

Oh and book recommendation. I've been reading a hilarious book called "Boy Meets Girl" by Meg Cabot (she wrote the Princess Diaries). It's not a YA (young adult) book and is so funny.

I get that for sure it's just Kc buys so many games for that reason and I buy books for that reason that somewhere we need to save $. LOL.

The book sounds cute! I may have to add it to my list!

The job is a long shot but there is no harm in applying and I may get lucky and get an interview. :goodvibes

Good Luck!!! :thumbsup2

I just posted this on the 86'd thread, but wanted to re-post here, too....

Up and running!

Awesome! Looks great! I can't wait to see The Flat Focker Album!

They have given him Coumadin (I believe it is a blood thinner---Rachel? TE?) and according to mom he is doing great and they are discharging him today or tomorrow. He has to get 3 or 5 shots of coumadin (I can't remember what my mom said),but the nurse will come to the house to do it. So, it sounds like it is good news and you hopefully will all get to meet him at the Biergarten!:cool1: :cool1:

So glad he's doing better!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is my last Monday before WDW! This time next week I'll be hopefully arriving at Pop Century!
My tummy is feeling a little weird since yesterday, I made crab cakes but used imitation crab meat- I think it killed me & KC. Tonight nothing new- maple orange chicken in the corkc, very easy and nothing I haven't had before. lol.
It's looking dreary outside but I must exchange those bras. I also wanna check into some NY & CO flip flops I heard about- supposedly they have extra arch support, sounds like a disney flip flop to me! :)
Thank you ladies for all the kind words and hugs. I just need to decide if I can be an adult and watch her for the next 2 weeks. I just watch her and Aidan play and then start crying. I did check with ds's school and they can use my help for more days. I won't be able to get more than 19 hours a week but it will do until I find something full time.
I will catch up with everyone later when I can read and focus. I can not believe how much this is getting to me.
Whew! What a day so far! Not bad, just busy. We went to buy shoes today and C picked out the cutest, sassy shoes ever.
PAAAAABOBBGDNKEK.jpg
I've been helping them with school and trying to figure out what C can't do in math. B's a smart kid, but C just hears math concepts once and has it. I've never had to move a kid up so much. We were on lesson 11, then I started doing the tests with her. We skipped up to lesson 50! :eek: I was tired and so was she, so we'll see where she gets tomorrow. :faint:
I've been listening to this song from So You Think You Can Dance today. It's addictive. It's Mercy by Duffy.
Kat- it's the Twitch and Katie dance where he was looking so fine :lovestruc and they danced with the door. Good stuff. I forgot to ask if you're going to see them on tour. I got two tickets for B and me. :woohoo:
So, B's at dance camp until 5 when we have a parent meeting. I'm excited about the meeting b/c we get to find out what their songs and costumes are. :banana:
Cute shoes!:goodvibes Thats great about C.:thumbsup2 So far all of my kids have trouble with math.
Jo--I've called and renewed your castle membership. I put in on Jess' credit card--did u know she had one??:lmao:
:eek: :rotfl2:
Sheesh - we're never going to keep up wiht you guys now! Wait - is that the idea?! :eek: :rotfl:
Maybe :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:
Yeah .. I know what you are thinking... "sounds like a racket".. well it sort of is. And a LOT of the stuff is definitely girly.. charm bracelets, spritz, etc.BUT there are "Trading Cards" that are hard to come by sometimes.. you can play games with them ( not on line) or trade them to try and get the whole set.
Glad we don't have them here :rotfl2:
I just posted this on the 86'd thread, but wanted to re-post here, too....
Up and running!
Click here to check out the TFW Meets picture page. What do you think? Worth keeping? Want to me to remonve anything? Ditch the whole idea? Make it private? Add more text in the descriptions?
If we decide to go with it, send me your meet pics and I'll add them! :thumbsup2
Looks great V except can you get rid of the one of me in the background with the wet T-Shirt please :rotfl2:
That's great Janet :goodvibes
Wow...do I have a lot to catch up on! Sorry for being MIA this past week but I've been so busy with the kids - doctor appts, shopping for school, playing in the park, etc. Our weather has been extremely nice these past few days and I want to take full advantage of the nice weather with NO humidity!
Sounds like you've had fun!
My mom and I are making tentative plans to go to Disney next may!!!
IF DH and I get all our debt paid off (the truck didn't sell like it was supposed so we are still waiting) and IF I can save my part....it will be me and the three younger kids and my mom.DH and Tyler don't want to go. At least it makes it MUCH cheaper.
Wooohooo :yay:
Jo in any cover letter you write tell them Rosie says your're the Bestest!!:rotfl2:
:hug:
And don't forget a follow up thank you note if you get the interview, I hate those more than cover letters.
Follow up letters :confused: I don't think we do that!
We were on lesson 11, then I started doing the tests with her. We skipped up to lesson 50! :eek: I was tired and so was she, so we'll see where she gets tomorrow. :faint:
Sounds though you have a bright one there :thumbsup2
Jess and I played 9 holes this afternoon whilst Ellie went to a friends house, I then cut David's hair, ready for vacation :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:
Just in case anyone thinks homeschooling is all roses... I fought a lot with A this a.m. during math. He doesn't like to listen and listening is key to learning. :headache: :teacher: He likes to fuss at me, though. :sad2: He has my temper. :rolleyes1
i LOVE that number! Def one of my favs for the season!! Believe it or not KC watches that show with me religiously!
Kat...we definitely have to plan a NYC meet before 1010. They are going to close the World of Disney Store on 5th Avenue :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:
http://www.crainsnewyork.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080808/FREE/458575539/1072/toc
:scared1: WOW, that stinks! Guess they won't be hiring me anytime soon then! Now I may have to go there wed (i was contemplating it)!
I am meeting some friends on wed to try and get $20 raffle tickets to see the broadway show rent, since it's closing a week after we get back from florida! I was going to go a bit early and see about going to the WoD, now I migth have to! The only good thing about it, maybe they will have aweosme sales when they close! :lmao:
Random Olympic thoughts before I dig in to research...
Dara Torres is my freaking HERO! :cool1:
How come the guys aren't all wearing the full RZR swimsuits?
Rather like the proverbial chicken/egg conundrum: Are all beach volleyball players flat chested becuase they play beach volleyball, or do only flat-chested women get interested in beach volleyball? :confused3
Orange is NOT a color in the Dutch flag. Team uniforms for the Netherlands are orange becuase it's the official color of the royal family. I looked it up.
Do the male gymnasts seem a bit more butch this year than previous years, or is it just me?
I'm sure I'll have more as the Games of the 29th Olympiad continue. :rolleyes:
OMWord. I am addicted to the Olympic coverage. And the male gymnasts are definitely more butch this year...cute even. :confused3
Jen- Did you get much done? Be careful not to over do it too early after being sick!
Yea. I'd never do that...;)
Janet glad your dad is feeling better.
Well ladies I am off to get some food. We are out of bread, milk, eggs, and DIET COKE. I can not live with out diet coke. I will go out in the middle of the night just to get a diet coke. I also need to buy some toilet paper. Nana's bff brought over a roll today. I think this is bad when guests need to bring their own toilet paper.
:rotfl: Wow. This made me laugh so hard.
But, I'm feelin' you on the Diet Coke. It's my crack.
People still buy CD's???? I haven't bought a CD in years...I download EVERYTHING and I hardly pay either (sssshhhh).
I'm old school. :rotfl:
Dang. Ok, let's not panic! I will check again tomorrow. If she's not there, I'll let you know.
Glad you feel better Jen! (and Jon too!)
JENNNNNNNN! Where arrrrrre youuuuuu??? :sad:
TE: Funny bra-related story. I was at the lake with Gus while he did swimming lessons last week. This woman comes up to me (she looked INSANE-hair all askew. Clothes all rumpled) Anyway, she comes up to me and says, "I noticed you are LARGE breasted. I run a bra shop. I think you should come see me and get those things HIGHER up on your chest."
OMG. Seriously. I was so shocked I just looked around like, "Someone HELP!" I know they're huge. I know they sag. :rotfl2: What can I do?
:rotfl2: The girl with me (Gus's friend's mom) said, "OMG, Mel. You must be a crazy person magnet!" Yep.
Long story short, I read your post and thought, wow it would be nice to have a bra that fits and doesn't poke me. Guess I should've listened to the crazy lady.
MEL:banana:
WTH??? I would've smacked her in the face. My girls are medium...not huge...but not small either. I just wish that after nursing Jon they weren't all National Geographic. :sad2:
My Farewell BBQ for my "brother" went well. I felt a bit left out in my own home. No one offers to help with the food, so I run around and cook and clean up. While my "guests" all sit and visit. I don't see many of the cousins and uncle and aunts who came, very often... but they all see each other. I am never invited to anything though... Since my "mom" has been gone I feel like I pretty much have lost my whole family.
It really doesn't fell very good. :sad1:
I am going to help my "brother" pack tomorrow and Wednesday we are having just the immediate family for a steak dinner. He wants one more good steak before he doesn't get one until after Christmas.
Oh honey. :hug:
I can't imagine honey. :hug: I'm so sorry.
Dad Update
They have given him Coumadin (I believe it is a blood thinner---Rachel? TE?) and according to mom he is doing great and they are discharging him today or tomorrow. OHHHH! Yay that he's doing better!!! :woohoo:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well, we're just back from the docs. Jon's doing better...but his asthma is still acting up. So...she extended the steroids. :headache: Yay. Another week and a half of roid rage. :woohoo:

Today was actually his 12-year-old check-up. :sad: I can't believe he's 12.

Other than that...we're watching the Olympics and getting ready for the garage sale this weekend.

Oh...and T-minus 2 days and my baby enters junior high! :faint:
