BUT, in my defense, I rarely clean out my subscriptions list and many of those are no longer active. Most of mine are TRs.

Good point V. 3 of my subbed threads are Slate's (Hi Slate LYMI:hug: ) AND ONE IS KATT'S:rolleyes1

Actually after I posted I went to my user CP and I am subbed to 17 threads:scared1: All TR's or PTR's, except this one and TFW 5

I have over 50 at the moment. I think about 5 or 6 are non TR's but the rest are! Crazy.

Sorry about the drive by.

Last night was AWFUL. DS didn't sleep for more than an hour and I was awake all night. Bob left for his week-long trip this morning. We visited the Dr. to see what he had to say. He says that physically DS is sound. It's definitely panic attacks, and he needs to learn ways of calming himself. He prescribed Valium and suggested a counsellor. I hate the idea of giving him drugs, but he's beside himself and so am I. I don't know what else to do.

My sister had her baby today via C-section. It wasn't planned and I'm waiting to hear if mom and baby are good.

I need sleep so bad! I hope that DS sleeps tonight. He didn't seem improved at all with the Valium.

Keep those prayers going Fockers!

MEL

Jo, I'd be needing a major vent, too, if someone left things in that state for me! :
Thanks, glad it wasn't just me being grumpy :rotfl2:

I'd be ticked too Jo. How could she do this? I overlan everything, even when Jimmy is only staying overnight I make sure there are enough clothes for 3 days "just in case"
Me too Janet :sad2:

I'm sorry, Janet. I thought I was being funny, but maybe I am just bratty. And, I'm glad you know I like you. :cutie:
Dawn part of the fun of TFW is that we take the P out of each other a little :hug:

Whenever we leave our kids, I write out detailed itineraries for them, especially if they've got school or other lessons while we're gone. My mom laughs at the detail of my lists! That's just crazy that she expected you to do everything! And Milk Duds are NOT a sufficient pressie for that kind of job! You deserve something a lot better than that -- like something from the big World of Disney store in NYC, right??? :banana:
Thanks, I thought maybe I was being slightly grumpy and my DSis in WoD :sad2: :rotfl2:

We love you Janet!!! Janet is number 1!!
Go Phily! Or New Jersey! Or parole people!!!

I now proclaim this Official Janet Day........so suck up folks!

;)
Yes Janet we love you even if you are a rubbish stalker :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Trust me, no you don't. Side story...One time had a guy call from jail (that I had to put there right after Thanksgiving) asking me when I was going to let him out of jail becasue he wanted to be with his family. I told him that it was up to the Judge how long he would remain in jail and that his hearing was scheduled, etc. etc. He asked me what he was supposed to tell his family? I told him to tell them "I'll have a Blue Christmas without you"??? He didn't find this amusing, but the Judge did when he told him, and then sentenced him to state prison
You tough woman you!!!

Found you all. I am still not feeling better this morning. I will check in again tomorrow and hope I feel well enough to read up then. Have a great day everyone.
Get better :flower3:

Jo must be Sub'd to at least 20 to have counts like she has:lmao: .Ok.. real number Uh 10-13
I check and post here everyday, reply to new TR posts and I post a bit on the UK boards!

DH is at the DR.s office right now. I hope he can go back to work. The neurologist's office from IU Med. just called to set up an appt. for Thurs. afternoon. They still haven't received any records from the DR here. They were supposed to be faxed a week ago.:headache: Do I have to go there myself and drag the files to Indy?! I tried to call Doug's cell. No answer. He turns it off when he's at the DR. I hope he sees the text before he comes back home.
Hope they got the records!

woo hoo!! I`m off to rob Peter to pay Paul!!! wish me luck!
Good luck :rotfl2:

: Momma don't do wood work. So, I duck taped it.
You should have called me I'm a dab hand with a screwdriver :rotfl2:

Well, school has begun at my house. #3 son was so excited this morning he ran downstairs to eat and then asked me why he had to wait to do his math. It was 6:30 :scared:
Wow, can he talk to my girls in a few days time please :rotfl2:

Well the boys drawers are full with clean clothes again :headache: and they're both fast asleep :thumbsup2 Ollie has been moved into Dad's room so the PC room is now free :thumbsup2 We went for a walk, guess where? Yep Dawn the beach again :rotfl2: we then went to the park and fed the quack quacks this afternoon. Jess has been absolutely brilliant, she has fed Ollie all his meals and even washed his cups up tonight :lovestruc

Hope it works :hug:

My sister had her baby today via C-section. It wasn't planned and I'm waiting to hear if mom and baby are good.
Oooh what did she have? Hope Mum and Baby are both well and congrats Auntie Mel :goodvibes

Okay, here's my two cents' worth based on personal experience: the Rx isn't to solve the problem, but to get him in a position to be able to solve the problem. No amount of talking yourself through things, or working with a counselor or any other measures will work if you can't breathe, your heart's racing, can't think straight, etc. Basically, the physical effects need to be under control before anything else can happen. It's just a short-term tool, and NOT a permanent solution. :hug:

And one more, for good measure: :hug: Hang in there Mel.

OK Ditto to them being old threads but ummmmmmmm my subbed threads is 2136 threads :rolleyes1
:faint: You really get around! But I won't tell David so. ;)

:hug: I can tell your stressed and tired and worried. :hug: I hope the meds work and he can learn to calm himself down. Have you looked on-line for ideas and ways he can try to calm himself? I have never dealt with panic attacks, so if I say something stupid, please dont' be mad at me. :flower3: Of course, this isn't anything as severe as panic attacks, but I'm trying to help C learn to calm down. She's starting that whole hormonal crying and doesn't know why thing. It's so hard when we don't know what to do to help our babies feel better. :hug:

I hope all is well with your sister and the baby. Was she full-term and just in labor and it turned into a c-section? :confused3

:rotfl2: I used taking the P rather than taking the Mickey like I said yesterday :rotfl2: It just means when we poke fun out of each other :goodvibes

Grandma DisneyJo does have a nice ring to it... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Is that "taking the P out of someone", Jo? :confused3 I still don't get it! :confused:
Hey :eek: and yes :rotfl2:

What ages are your kids? I have been looking into older stuff to with my oldest doing 6th grade this year. I went to a conference a few weeks ago that was helpful on homeschooling through high school. Tapestry of Grace is nice because it goes from K-12th grade at 4 different levels.

That'll be nice not to have to worry now that you have Calvert. Let me know what you think of it. :)
I'll let you know about Calvert. The Latin just arrived and my son is thrilled. I guess that's a good sign.

#1 son is 11 (12 in Oct.) and doing 7th grade. #2 son is 8 and doing a 3rd/4th blend, and #3 is 5 and starting K.

Calvert is a school where you help him with the work and stuff, but it's graded by them? I forget...

DD #1 is 11 (6th grade), DD #2 is 7 (2nd grade) and DS is 5 (Six in Nov. and in K).

It's only the first day and the girls are both in time-out right now. :sad2: I read about Renaissance artists and architecture today. They labeled a map of Ren. Italy and colored it. Then I asked them to draw a self-portrait of themselves and they both acted like farts. C started crying because it wasn't just right, and B wrote "B's bad self-portrait" on the top of the page. :sad2: Drama queens... :rolleyes:

You can have Calvert do the grading, but that is a cost above the curriculum itself. We opted to buy the course work, and that's all.

Sorry your first day ended with the girls in time out. That's never a good way to start.

Luckily, I have a pretty good sense of humor about it all. :rolleyes1

So we left the house in the early afternoon to have some early dinner before the show. We also decided to phone ahead a Borders store near Penn Station (a 15 min walk from the concert) and they let us pre-order the book! SO we made that our first stop, so we could get a wristband to be on the line at midnight for the book.

Then we walked up to our early dinner destination- Red Lobster! On the way there (the block before Red Lobster) we saw this:

pics011zi9.jpg

It closes soon, we are planning on trying their $20 raffle this week to see it one more time (I have seen it 4 times before).

On to dinner!
I love me some seafood. We each had different combo platters and they were yummy! For some unknown reason KC didn't finish his so we took it with us, hoping he could carry it into the concert.

I saw this in Times Square:
pics013pq0.jpg

We had about an hour to kill until the doors were opening to the theater so we went to Toys'r'Us Times Square to play for a while....

There is a giant ferris wheel in the store and they have a Toy Story car- I got the best pic I could of it.
pics015it0.jpg

Usually if we ride it we end up in the darn ET car, and I am scared of ET since I was a kid! We spent about 1/2 hour wandering around...

This dinosaur moves and makes noises at you, very creepy.
pics018ho4.jpg

Once we decided to go and get on line we realized the line wrapped around 2 blocks! We somehow found the end and got on it, and then there was still a loooooooong line behind us spanning another block at least.

Some of the line:
pics023yn9.jpg

KC was not too thrilled to go already and being on a line with that many young girls he was getting cranky. He kept saying he felt like he was at an NSYNC concert. I was slightly annoyed but too excited to care.

We got in fairly quickly, about 45 min to load everyone in. We had general admission seats so we stood the whole time, which was murder on my back. BUT we were right under a screen that showed the whole thing so I could see.

Me & KC.
pics027tk8.jpg

First the chick from ANTM & MTV, KIM, came out. She introduced Justin Furstenfeld of Blue October.
pics029mf7.jpg

HE did i think 3 songs (I only know a little bit of their stuff). He was good but there was a lot of revurb on the mic (on purpose) that was kind of annoying.

Then they brought Stephenie Meyer out and asked her some already chosen questions. Nothing too earth shattering. She didn't give anything away. It was really interesting tho. She sat in on Justin doing some more songs and them talking together too. The whole thing was about an hour and a half.

pics038ay4.jpg

KC had a girl of maybe 13 screaming in his ear the whole time so his lovely mood grew lovelier and I was trying hard to ignore it. Finally we were on our way to the signing.... and they decided to shove 2500 people through 3 small doors just to get on another line to wait. It was chaos and unorganized. We got squished and mauled the whole way but finally we got up to SM! We weren't allowed to take pics and when we got the "book plate" it was a disappointing thing.

It was a piece of paper, a sticker actually, that had an open space for her to sign. No personalizations, nothing more than a sticker! I was glad to meet her, she was lovely and sweet but the appeal of the "book plate" was a sad disappointment when we got there. I'm glad for the autograph but I thought it would be something more substantial.

The plus of the theater was that they had this for us:
pics045wx9.jpg

We got another wristband for getting on the bus, and a button. The wristband was a better line than the one we got in the morning, so we were happy! We got to watch a twilight trailer on the bus. We got some drinks from their cafe and then found the start of the wristband line and stayed there. At this point KC was in full on not happy mode and just shut down on me., I read some of Tori Spellings book and waited for midnight to come.

Here's the autograph, ticket, wristband and button:
pics093ym4.jpg

To border's credit we were out the door in 15 minutes with the book and on our way home.

All in all I need some friends nearby to go to these types of things with, thats what I learned! ;) :rotfl:

First of all, this is for you Mel - :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug:

no no no don't say that :eek: :rotfl2:

Jo, has the NBC show Baby Borrowers made it over the pond yet? I watched it this summer. They took teenage couples who thought they were ready to have children and gave them one to take care of 24/7. And one person in the couple had to work during the day as well. After 3-4 days with an infant, they got toddlers, then pre-teens, then teenagers and then ended with an elderly person that they had to take care of. Needless to say, all of the couples broke up and have decided that they don't want to have children right away! :rotfl:

It's only the first day and the girls are both in time-out right now. :sad2: I read about Renaissance artists and architecture today. They labeled a map of Ren. Italy and colored it. This right here is the reason I could never homeschool. My DD7 would e in timeout every stinking minute of every day and I would be pulling my hair out! I just don't think I have the temperment to do it. I truly admire those who do, but I think I'd have an ulcer and DD7 would be dead. It's much better for her to be going to school.

So after catching up on the old TFW all ready to multi-quote only to find there's a new TFW. :headache: Which is at 11pgs already!!:eek:

So all caught up.

Mel: :hug: :hug:

T: :hug:

TE: Did you get Breaking Dawn yet?

Lessa: No spoilers from me, I'm still reading New Moon.... but I bought my copy of Breaking Dawn at midnight!! :rolleyes1
Also so glad the bat was caught :scared:

Kat: :hug: Are you finished yet?

V: :hug: totally understand the mom thing. Even without kids my mom drives me crazy. Why is it never enough for them?!!? :sad2:

Jen: OMG I am on the biggest ABBA kick! I absolutely loved Mamma Mia! My MySpace has an ABBA playlist :rotfl2: http://www.myspace.com/iscis17

Great job on the duct taping! :thumbsup2

Jo: What a headache with the baby stuff not being ready. Awww what a sweetie Jess. :goodvibes

2136 subs?!?! :faint: How do you keep up? Are you a speed reader?

Janet: Hi! :wave2: How are you this lovely day that has been proclaimed for you? Wise, lovely Janet. :teeth:

Ok that's all I can remember off the top of my head sorry if I missed anyone.:flower3:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not much going on here. Woke up a little while ago and have been playing catch up on the DIS trying to get back into the swing of things.
Have to organize my room. We got new carpets installed 3 weeks ago and my room is still not back to normal. :rolleyes1
Wanted to go watch The Mummy this week, but after Lessa's review, I'm having second thoughts about it. :sad2:
Ok off to catch up on some more! TTYL!
:lmao: I know. It's a challenge some days!
I thought the same thing with B when we started but she is still alive somehow... :sad2:
I just laugh most of it off. After I discipline them, of course. K and I laugh after they go to their rooms all the time. :rotfl:
