So a little "complaining" helps right??? (I'm pretty sure I know the word they are using to describe me! )

That's the theory I'm going with... squeeky wheel and all that. Of course, I'm still sitting here bored waiting for a call from the dr. It may not be the best method in my case...

I think it's agreat idea. My neighbor's moving, and I could really use a goat-mower for our grass!

TE.. they went to all the houses of the women WHO DID send e-mails of them in their PJ's first....

It's rare, but my hubby's guys (and my hubby) have had people answer the door scantily-clad. Hubby said he just turned around and left. Good boy!

BTW- Our weather has been in the upper 90s since the beginning of May. Our outlook says, "Hotter than heck until Christmas!"

No unfortunately, since no cuts in her department and with me transfering she is safe for now, but is digging a nice big hole for herself. There is so much work to do and certain job duties that were mine are off my plate and she just piled them on someone else, who is now quietly complaining, not a loud mouth like the rest of us. Though I say something for her when the right people are around.

Yep, Janet---your odds were right.........I called them just now and asked "what time this morning you are coming??"

He said "where are you??...........we got people on vacation this week......so I'll have to see how it goes this afternoon........"

I told him I waited all day Sat and was promised this morning....and he said "oh"

Any advice?? (I'd call someone else 'cept these are the only guys on my warranty)

No real advice. I use window air conditioners and have a back up one in the garage.
I can say do not leave. If you do that is when they will show up. I have also found that these places are so busy they will not give a courtesy call to a cell phone giving you time to get back home. When my furnace broke down I was at my mom's house and told them to call when they were heading over so I could meet them. They just showed up and billed me a service call for not being there to great them.

We call them that also. My dad said it is because they just slide right down.

I was the sponsor for my 3rd cousins Conformation today. It was a nice mass and her dad reserved a banquet room for a yummy dinner afterwords. I went to my nieces first recital on Sat. She is only 3 so her group was so cute up on stage. I also managed to fit in a party Sat. night.

I was only in Paris for 5 nights and I swear it took a solid week to get back on US time.

Has anyone heard from Michelle?? I made mention on the Fockerfest thread that the page she had made us is gone, now today i noticed her and her daughter's myspace pages are gone (they were in my top friends). I hope she is ok, what with the random people coming up to her last we heard from her! Anyone have an email and can check on her?

Jess still e-mails with Michelles DD Brenna, I really miss her too and also noticed the webpage had gone!

I have been scrapbooking all weekend. I went to another retreat. It was in Wisconsin at a nice retreat house. They basically made the 4 car garage a large scrapbooking room with tables, lamps, nice vibrating chairs and a big crop area. I completed our 2005 trip and got 20 pages done from our January 2007 trip.

David and I played golf this morning and OMG it was so hot, I felt really drained!!!! Then after school Ellie had a rounders (like baseball) tournament which we went and watched, it was so funny as when Ellie was fielding she caught someone out, literally the ball just landed in her hands it was hilarious Her team won their match but the other team from her school lost so it was a draw overall!

Of course I acknowledged your posts Rosie I had to keep my bestest status up didn't I It was weird rounders, it was called runaround rounders and literally you hit the ball (or missed didn't matter) then you had to run around all 4 bases quicker than the fielders could throw the ball from 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 without dropping it, it took awhile to work out what was going on but it made it a quick fun game

Where's a smilie of sticking your tongue out when I need it?
I'm just so mad about istting here all stupid day. I called at 8am to tell them I still feel bad and they said the nurse would call. She called about 8:30 and said that my doctor's in surgery, but she would call me back.

I haven't been able to leave the house, or nap, or do chores (out of fear I'll be in toruble with my DIS friends! and I'm going nuts. At 1:30, I called annoyed because the desk lady said she was putting me down for a 3:00 appt. I called and said that I was supposed to come in, but I wasn't sure why I need to be poked again, and it's getting close to time I would have to leave. I asked that the nurse please call me. Now 's 2:10 and I haven't heard a peep still. They close at 5, and I'll be so ticked if the day ends and I have no answers.

The kids are scheduled to go to Mom's tomorrow, but I haven't packed them out of hope that I will be rescheduled for surgery sooner and then I'd keep them home. I guess I'll pack them. It's like washing your car, it always rains after that, right?

Sorry- I'm just so dang frustrated right now.

to all my friends here who put up with my crankiness. IRL I have one friend who's sympathetic, but everyone esle doesn't see why I just don't wait. uh, yeah. It's fun to feel like your going cry b/c you hurt so much while everyone esle is swimming and vacationing.

I've only been to coral Reef and Le Cellier. I loved the food at both, but I liked the atmosphere better at Coral Reef. It was so beautiful and i felt like it was a facny treat.

This is the ultimate in drive-by posts....

Using the laptop via cell phone dealy again. Power Co were in the neighborhood a while ago. I asked if they knew what the prob was. They said huge tree on lines in one backyard. Good. At least they know.

There are over 200K people out of power. And TONS of trees and power lines down all over. They had to shut down a HUGE highway because of power lines on the roadway. I understand that it will take time. But, I'm still hot and grumpy! We are under ANOTHER severe storm watch tonight!

It's 90 degrees out. High humidity. We did borrow a generator from my DF Peg. I love her. So at least we got showers and tv!

Hope everyone is good. Can't multiquote but this is a to everyone!

Oh, and V, I vote for Artist Point. Location alone!
