Hamboy's teacher had everyone in the class take turns, writing each other nice letters. Hamboy's turn was last week. The letters he got were very funny. Here is what one girl wrote him:

"You are cute. All the girls sase you are cute."

My dh and I laughed.

i agree it's hard to get away even for a few hours, but sometimes you just need a break. even a few hours helps.

You do too much! You have to make time to renew yourself. What about taking a good book and having lunch alone or coffee alone?

morning all!! busy day today. just wanted to say hello. i have to work tonight, so maybe i'll have time to check in. by that time, i'm sure there'll be like 20 pages to catch up on !!!

My boys have a masquerade party to go to tomorrow night so I'm spending the day working out masks...my boys are VERY indecisive and now that we're down to 36 hours, I need a direction Any suggestions?

My furniture (sort of) finally arrived yesterday! After 8 weeks. They told me 6-8 weeks. Well, sort of because..................

They brought the wrong chair. I have a sofa and an ottoman now. They ordered the wrong fabric on my chair. I said, "Didn't you think it was strange that the fabric on the chair didn't match the ottoman?" He said, "You wouldn't believe some of the stuff I deliver. People put all kinds of things together."

I also did not inspect the furniture real well and when dh got home he pointed out to me that 4 of the nailheads on the ottoman are missing. So, I have to call them and ask them to reorder the ottoman.

OMG what a pain Hope it gets sorted!

Okay, I'm feeling a little better baout the $3.89 I just saw this mroning here.

Another mom told me that Caitlin told her little girl she has her tongue pierced. There are first graders!

Same. She's coming down to see the girls' recital Saturday, so I'll see for myself then.

Hey girls, just checkin' in - it's been a rough couple of days. I took Evan to DLR on Tuesday, and he ended up getting his fever again later that night. Must have been those 2 rides on the Matterhorn. You can bet Andy gave me an ear full about that.
Yesterday I spent 4 frickin' hours at the dentist - by the time I got home, I was wiped out and ready for bed. Good thing he's HOT and he wears CROCS!

Lots of busy stuff going on with end of school. Today, Hamboy's teacher is giving each child in the class an award. She sent them home with a sheet of paper, listing categories like "Most dramatic," "Most improved", "Best Line leader," "Most likely to be on American Idol." They were supposed to put each classmate's name down at least one time. I had to explain to Hamboy what dramatic means and then I said, "You know who you need to put down for that one?" He said, "I'm putting Caitlin down." Caitlin is a little girl in his class that has told everyone that the boy from High School Musical lives with her and that her uncle is on American Idol. Another mom told me that Caitlin told her little girl she has her tongue pierced. There are first graders!

The class is also having an ice cream party after the awards. The first grade teachers got the kids a bouncy jumpy thingy. After school, his class is having a pool party.

THey do it on Fri and Sat here. Hope all goes well. We are going to do ours a week from Saturday. I would do it Friday, but just can not do it by myself with a 3year old and dh can not get off work. Maybe I'll ask some neighbors if they are interested in joining me.

Garage Sale Day One

I’m wearing my lucky shirt!

8:00 am- Despite the fact that it’s barely 40 degrees, and my advertisement stated 9am!!!, there are people waiting on my lawn.

9:00 am- I’ve made $3.00. There have been lots of people. Old people. People who do NOT want to buy my FP Little People Castle.

9:16 am- I’ve made $36.50. Two guys who don’t speak English came and wanted to know if my used radar detector worked. Uh, yeah. It’s relatively useless if it doesn’t. Unless you just LIKE to stick that little suction cup thingy to stuff....

9:47 am- I’ve made $50.50 so far. Two ladies just came and got a bunch of stuff. One of them begged me to use the potty. She seemed ok so I let her. She bought my tinkerbell shirt.

10:05 am- Ok, I’m up to $62.00. I sold the movies Shark Tale and Polar Express. And my fingers are numb.

I drive a 1996 Plymouth Neon sad2: ) that when I first got it cost $10 every 2 weeks to fill up. I filled up on Tuesday it cost me $34.00

I believe it's 44 inches. He's only 42.5. Maddie's 45 inches, but that chicken won't ride!
Does Jimmy love coasters? Evan loves them, so I'm sure he'll be fine - just gotta find that 1.5 inches somewhere....

Our van costs $75 to fill it up, 2x per week!

OMG, T, that's awful! Yesterday we were at $3.61. I have no idea what today will bring. I can't complain....I know we're still super cheap.

I don't even know how much it costs to fill my SUV - my fuel guage is broken and jumps from 1/2 a tank to empty! I've just been filling it around the halfway point and it runs about $40.

With the gas prices the way they are I am glad I got my plane tickets when I did. Driving now would cost us about 3x what we paid in airfare

Jimmy loves BTMRR, but that is the biggest coaster he has been on. I think we will ride it baby swap in August, and then Jim and I will decide if he is ready for it or not...AK is the second day of our trip, I don't want him scared for the rest of it, KWIM?

Jim and I haven't even rode it yet, so I don't really know what is like!
