Morning---taking ab in late to school (high schoolers get there at 10 if they don't have an exam), then off to work.

Got a call from the furniture people and there's a chance my entertainment center and tables will be here by Sat--I've had to get all annoyed at them for continued delays. (Why do I care if the gas is high in Mississippi???)

I went to the car this morning and I'd left it unlocked all night with several hundred $ of golf gear in the trunk Luckily it was all still there, it's because I had opened the hood to refill the windscreen wash and forgot to lock the car!!!! Thank goodness it was still there otherwise I would have been in trouble

Scott probably would not do that to me again.. if I said I wanted to stay at a Hotel IN TOWN he probably would not say a word. Go no where to go or anywhere I want to go other than Disney. And I can't go there alone.

Katt: From one mom who's with her kids all day to another... I find even going to have coffee with a friend after the kids are ready for bed is helpful. I felt bad for a long time everytime I went to a meeting (and it didn't help that C would cry and chase me down from the porch), but now I know myself well enough to know that if I don't go to Mom's Night Out or spend some time alone every once in a while, then I end up with no patience for the kids, and then I feel worse for being a mean mommy.

I don't go on trips so much, but I have gone on a women's retreat once or twice. It's hard to leave the kids, but it's so worth it once you're there. Plus, you have to fill up your spiritual cup often, or you can't be the mom your kids need. That's why I refuse to teach on Sundays. I am teaching my kids all day every day. I need 2 hours every Sunday that I can worship so I can be all God intended me to be during the week.

I stopped teaching in Church... and stopped doing kids Choir and helping with Kid care on Sundays and felt guilty. They stay short of help.But I felt a great load lift when I stopped doing that. It began to be a chore.
I am on the Platform EVERY WEEK leading the congreation in Worship either playing trombone or singing with or conducting the adult choir.
I get to go to Choir practice every Wednesday.. and Band practice
2nd and 4th Tuesday's.

I used to go and have lunch and have coffee with my friend.. but our paths began to run in opposite directions... so we pass in the halls at church.. chat and say hello.. but we NEVER GET TOGETHER any more.I go to Walmart once a week... and Church. My van does not know how to go anywhere else.
AND I HATE to shop.. unless I am shopping for my kids. I have taken to shopping online.. to avoid crowds, and walking for an hour and coming home empty handed.

Speaking of church... Did you hear Steven Curtis Chapman lost his little girl in an accident ??

Katt---My dad is doing fine---out farming yesterday and didn't check in with mom so she left work and drove home to find him on the tractor, without his cell phone. She told him she'd already raised 4 kids and didn't need another one!
(of course, the last time he remembered his cell, he ran over it with the tractor. ..............the smilies won't work???

It was $3.68/gallon the other day....but I think it's higher now.

It hit $3.75 here in Roanoke yesterday. I got some of the last $3.62 at Walmart. While there they started putting up cones to keep people from pulling up to get gas so they could change the prices.

Man.. a week -week and a half ago he was near death.

Absolutely ridiculous, over here at the pumps it's over £5 (about $10) per gallon It's costing about $40 extra to fill up our tank than last year

It has taken nearly a year to get it though It was pricey though about $260 Should have waited to buy in Florida

Wow that's a big commitment, the girls sing in the choir but it tends to average about twice a month and once a week for practise, did I tell you that the choir master thinks Ellie has a fantastic voice and wants her to audition for the Southern Cathedral Singers, this involves singing about 6 times a year at various Cathedrals in Southern England

O.K. HOW DO YOU DO THAT ?? I turned down FREE exotic vacations because I could not leave Joshua.

I totally understand. Not that I've turned down free vacations, but we don't like leaving our kids behind. Even for our 15 year anniversary trip last year. In Feb we did an overnight trip because we felt we had to get away. My inlaws kept the kids. We weren't even gone 24 hours and we were only 30 minutes away at a Winery/spa resort, but it was nice. We are going to Food and Wine Festival Nov 1 for 2 nights without the kids. I'm kind of worried about the trip.

I need an enforcer.........but then again, I have the official TFW snitch, Katt, who PMed me about Janet's shenanigans!

I can't believe you outed Katt like that. But thanks! Now we know who the snitch in the group is.

My dad and brother and stepmother are coming from Puerto Rico on Saturday and then we're to be going to WDW for 3 days Mon-Wed

I never feel like cleaning but DH won't let me have a cleaner either, well I suppose I don't work but

Before kids, I cleaned the house every Monday. I worked 4 10 hour days and always had Monday off. Ever since the kids, our house is never all clean at once. If I clean a room, the kids almost always come behind me and mess it up. Usually the upstairs is clean and downstairs not, or vice versa. I hate cleaning the kitchen. That is a daily chore.

NO you did not... That is great. Good experience for her. Sarabeth was going to the Auditions of the "Roanoke Childrens Choir" . It is fairly prestigous. They have sang at the While House, Carnigie Hall, and I think they did a tour in Eurpoe one year, But the Audition times did not work that week. Maybe next year.

Well I'm out for a while. Gotta take Sara to the Orthodontist, and I NEED a Shower.

Hi Fockers Just dropping in after another long dayat work!! This weekend I am off 3 days Sat, Sun and Monday!! Can't wait. Tomorrow I go to lunch with the Boss she's treating us. I also got my 6 month eval. Boss is notorius for not giving any scores over 3 ( good) I got 3 fours !! Iwas thrilled !!

What would you do? What resorts would you ask for???? Being we are almost 6 months out, would there be anything good left?

I know a lot of people do not like SSR, but we do like it. We prefer it over OKW. I hear VWL is nice, but my dh says that is not his thing and doesn't want to stay there.

Aiden got his tooth filled today with only a numbing gel, no shots or sleeping juice!

Morning everyone. YES, my sale starts today. It's weird to do it on a Thursday but they do that here! It will be slow, but I'll get the SAHM crowd I'm sure.

THey do it on Fri and Sat here. Hope all goes well. We are going to do ours a week from Saturday. I would do it Friday, but just can not do it by myself with a 3year old and dh can not get off work. Maybe I'll ask some neighbors if they are interested in joining me.

My furniture (sort of) finally arrived yesterday! After 8 weeks. They told me 6-8 weeks. Well, sort of because..................

They brought the wrong chair. I have a sofa and an ottoman now. They ordered the wrong fabric on my chair. I said, "Didn't you think it was strange that the fabric on the chair didn't match the ottoman?" He said, "You wouldn't believe some of the stuff I deliver. People put all kinds of things together."

I also did not inspect the furniture real well and when dh got home he pointed out to me that 4 of the nailheads on the ottoman are missing. So, I have to call them and ask them to reorder the ottoman.

Finally caught up!

Jo - I voted for you.

Lots of busy stuff going on with end of school. Today, Hamboy's teacher is giving each child in the class an award. She sent them home with a sheet of paper, listing categories like "Most dramatic," "Most improved", "Best Line leader," "Most likely to be on American Idol." They were supposed to put each classmate's name down at least one time. I had to explain to Hamboy what dramatic means and then I said, "You know who you need to put down for that one?" He said, "I'm putting Caitlin down." Caitlin is a little girl in his class that has told everyone that the boy from High School Musical lives with her and that her uncle is on American Idol. Another mom told me that Caitlin told her little girl she has her tongue pierced. There are first graders!

The class is also having an ice cream party after the awards. The first grade teachers got the kids a bouncy jumpy thingy. After school, his class is having a pool party.
