Apparently it is.. I just looked at FOX 35 in Orlando's Website and it says the Temperature is 76 degrees at 8:20

So in one month when we are down there.. by high noon I'll be Meduim well to well done

Oh my gosh....I need that warmth!!!! It is still freakin' cold here! (3 weeds ago we were in shorts and now I am freezing again) I usually put the final touches on my garden, get the deck all organized and ready for the summer etc. etc. this weekend. Instead we have all been stuck inside, except for last night watching our pitiful fireworks display (spent $100.00 and they were really lousy.........except for 1) Plus, we didn't burn down the neighbourhood although that might have been more exciting! ;)

My mind is all boggled from all the posts and if I scroll back and forth I get dizzy so please pardon this style of replying. After all what can you expect from someone with my name?:rotfl:

Englishrose, I sincerely hate to disagree with someone, on this subject and with your name, however - Catherine of Aragon was his first wife who had been married to his brother and was later decreed (after he got tired of her) to be an illegal wife and she was hidden away in a cell until she died, refusing to give him his freedom in defense of their daughter, Mary. I believe you are referring to Catherine Parr who was forced to marry Henry even though she was in love in with someone else and who survived him by being his nurse in his later years. Anne of Cleves, who also survived, went willingly into a convent, luxurious of her own choice, after Henry was displeased because the picture by Holbein (?) was not as a good a likeness as Henry was expecting and he was under great pressure to remarry and produce a male heir.

PrincessV, that is the way it is. You get drunk on Appletinis and I got snockered on beer at POFQ. I just have no class at all! :confused3

TEminnie, I have some slightly used solar film that you can have. Come on by. I put plantation blinds up on all my windows, light, energy savings and privacy at a reasonable price. Happy 18th! I am assuming it is a wedding anniversary but nowadays doing anything for 18 years is cause for celebration!! :cheer2:

KatGarcia, what is up with all these DIS gals and wrestling? I know another lady who is retired from that profession. I never did it myself but Dick the Bruiser did used to sign some of my paychecks. Impressed? Do you even know him? :rotfl2:

rachel3, I was in line at WWTBAM once and the man next to me answered his cell phone, talked a couple of minutes, hung up and grinned at me while he said that he had just made $300 because he was a lawyer. Not sure I believed him but it sure did sound good. I get paid for giving advice but not that much, wish I did cause I have soo much advice to give.:laughing:

For those of you who are foundering and not sure what the future brings. Do not worry. At my 'advanced' age I can tell you that the opportunities missed give you the freedom to accept something better down the road. The tough times give you an appreciation for when the good ones come. :lovestruc

SG/Linda

Yes I know about Katherine and being married to his brother, but he didn't behead her or Anne , because they were foreign Royalty and would have caused a war!!! Jane the mother of his only son conveniently died from child birth, hence conveniently giving him no reason to behead her:rotfl2: All 3 of his children took the throne only Elizabeth ruled for any length of time and she sure ruled a long time.She was the most like him, but never had any husbands let alone 6:rotfl2: While of course I studied this in school most of my knowledge comes from Nora Lofts books, who incidently was from my home town and grew up with my Mum!!Anne of Cleves did have a cottage that she lived in I have forgotten exactly where it is but she wasn't in a convent the rest of her life! I want to say the cottage is in Kensington but could be wrong!!Katherine was adevout Catholic and divorce was against the church , as she was a daughter of Spain ,the Pope refused to give Henry hos divorce so he could marry Ann Boleyn, so Henry divorce dthe church and set himself up as the Head of the Church IN England. Hence he was able to grant his own divorce!!

Good Morning Fockers:goodvibes It's not gonna be a good day here:sad2: We all woke up late so of course we are all running around trying to get ready for school/work. We were so late that I gave jimmy Ninja Turtle Fruit snacks, a granola bar, and a glass of OJ for breakfast.:eek: LL YOu can hand over that Mother of the Year Award now:sad2:

So, I was all distracted and slammed the trunk on my cell phone! DOH! :headache: It's got a "white screen of death" thing going on with it now. I can get calls but I can't dial out cuz I can't see what I dialed!

So, DH gives me his "extra" phone to use on my Karaoke night out last night. It's such a dinosaur phone but oh well, at least I'll have one.....

White screen of death is NOT good. DId you purchase the insurance with your plan?

I'm back! .

Welcome Back V. :goodvibes

The girls I went with are teachers/librarians and moms from my DS's elementary school. WOW. These women CAN THROW DOWN. I got there and it's a gross, neighborhood divey kind of bar. I'm sure I sound spoiled but I don't hang out in those places! I never have. Not cuz I don't like to drink...:sad2: because I was married and PREGNANT at 21 and never really *GOT* to. Anyhow, it's WAY smokey (still can smoke EVERYWHERE here. I hate it!!!) and loud. And the mom next to me was having an appletini. It looked good so I got one.

Then I got 4 or 5 more. :rolleyes1 I am in SERIOUS pain here. You guys don't even know. My head hurts, I've been nauseous all day. Head stuffy and sore throat from the smoke.

Or from screaming "I've got friends in LOOOOOWWWW places!!!!" and "ELVIRA" all night! :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :confused3

Ok, so it was a wild night. I didn't break any chairs (LY CE! :love: ) but somehow I lost the back battery cover to DH's emergency dinosaur phone. How? I can't remember. :eek: And I'm pretty sure I can never show my face in that bar again after our rousing rendition of "The Humpty Dance" complete with moves.:dance3:

Teachers are WILD, man.

MEL:banana:

I'm shocked...just shocked...um, no I'm not:rolleyes1

BTW--my 18th anniversary is tomorrow!

Ugg! Not that darn heat again!! :mad:

It's not the heat, it is the humity:rolleyes1

QueenFocker.jpg

Yes I do. Last night was super slow :snail:, I was suffering. Then this morning around 6:45 all the crazies came out. So I'm afraid of what tonight will bring. :scared:

TTYL :wave2:

i bet we could swap crazy stories !!! i can't imagine working in er in miami! wow. i work in a community hosp, but we still get some crazy stuff! i think working in er really makes you see what's important in life. i never sweat the small stuff anymore. my husband will worry about stuff, then i'll tell him things from work and it really makes him see how life could be so much worse. you just have to enjoy the moment. i think the hardest for me is when bad things happen to kids. those are the ones that i will never, ever forget. :sad2: but the upside is when people make great recoveries , and that's why i don't think i'll ever leave er.

I did, I was Amanda Violet. I was what they call a "Heel" AKA a bad guy. it was fun!!!

Funny stuff huh? :)

that is too cool!!

Then the night out!

The girls I went with are teachers/librarians and moms from my DS's elementary school. WOW. These women CAN THROW DOWN. .

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: i never thought teachers of being wild! i'll see them in a whole new life now! it sounds like you had a blast.

it's always fun ..... until you wake up the next morning :headache: then you think, oh... what did i do!!! :rotfl2:

So the apt is a no go.

so sorry... i can't believe 1000 for a one bedroom. i couldn;t afford to live in nyc!! hopefully a great deal will come your way. i'll keep my fingers crossed for ya!!

Glad you didn't take offense, non was intended, I just believe that loving what you do is worth more than money! Do I wish I made more ofcourse !! But I wouldn't change fields to make more!!The MR people have such loving hearts and no inabitions to show it. What price do I put on the daily hugs and excited greetings I get????

:lovestruc that is so sweet . mr people really do have big hearts!
i completely agree with you!! my husband feels really bad sometimes though about not making much money. he feels guilty because i basicallly put him through 7 yrs of school... thinking that when he was done i could go part time or even stay at home with the kids. but, things don't always work out that way. he HATES that i make more money than him. it's not really the man/woman thing. it's the fact that i have a 2yr degree and he has a 7yr degree. he feels like he wasted his time. but i tell him , it takes time to figure out what you want to do in life. he really wants to do something that makes him feel good about his job. he actually just started with this new program to provide free counsel to people who are going through foreclosure, so he's starting to feel a little better about going to school for so long. and i don't mind working... it's sorta my outlet.. it's nice to be around other adults!!:laughing:

Good Morning Fockers:goodvibes It's not gonna be a good day here:sad2: We all woke up late so of course we are all running around trying to get ready for school/work. We were so late that I gave jimmy Ninja Turtle Fruit snacks, a granola bar, and a glass of OJ for breakfast.:eek: LL YOu can hand over that Mother of the Year Award now:sad2:

i hear ya!! i'm always running late !!:rotfl:

morning all!! just got home from work little bit ago. needed to unwind before sleeping. took me forever to catch up!! 3 days off now , woooo hoooooo :thumbsup2

Well, my dad is coming home today! :yay: His final dianosis was double pneumonia which is clearing. He will be on antibiotics and limited activity this week.
Mom sounded much better---she had located a JCPenney sale at the mall (Tanglewood, BTW Katt) and she was happy with her conquests. I was glad she got out some as she has slept in his room in a chair everynite---not good when you have fibro too.

YAY! I'm so glad he is better! :banana:

Had to quote Jen as her comment was VERY timely with my evening out last night! :lmao:

Ok, first, yesterday I went to Home depot to get signs for my garage sale. We were in the driveway (DS15 had a friend over, who was in my truck already...) DS was goofing off and when I opened up the back (trunk) to get DS10's bike out, he jumped in and was pretending that he was going to start the car. I was like, "Just get outta that seat!!!" I was standing behind the truck and had set my cell down on the bumper thingy so I could get the bike out. I could just picture him throwing it into gear and SMUSHING me.

White screen of death...no gud...:sad2:

I'm back! And...

It was HOT! :faint:

The rest will have to wait for an upcoming TR segment. ;)

\No time to catch up - you all chatted up PAGES since Fri.! And. Desperate Housewives starts in 9 minutes. Anything I need to know? Hope you all had good weekends! See you tomorrow....

Welcome back. I looked up the weather when we're there. Can you do something about the humidity for me? :rolleyes1

Then the night out!

The girls I went with are teachers/librarians and moms from my DS's elementary school. WOW. These women CAN THROW DOWN. I got there and it's a gross, neighborhood divey kind of bar. MEL:banana:

Now you know why I work in a school! :teeth: Our end of year party is on Friday...I'm still trying to block out last year's. Let's just say, I shouldn't be able to look anyone in the eye after last year's. :rotfl:

We had a karaoke night too over spring break. The locals did not appreciate our rendition of Me and Bobby McGee...you gotta love Janis Joplin! :laughing:

Ugg! Not that darn heat again!! :mad:

Hey chica ! Are we gonna get to meet?? :confused3

You'll be in my backyard!!! :banana: Okay, not literally, but we're close! I think we're going back on Wednesday for B's Bday, then a bunch of friends are going on Friday too.

We'll be there the week of the 19th or something in June. We've got a cabin...and I've bought a floating beer cozy...;)

EnglishRose, what an erudite discussion we are having today.:thumbsup2 You are right of course but so am I. Nunneries were different for the rich as is everything else. I wish to hie myself some days too. :rotfl2: Norah Lofts?? I am impressed. I read all her stuff when I was young and that is what got me through my childhood.

I had best get back to work before I get fired from my 'job' or my husband get me up on trumped up charges of fooling around with my brother or something. :rotfl:

SG/Linda (who bets you know more about American History than I, maybe)

Hi everyone.:goodvibes Remember me??:flower3: My life has been crazy and I haven't logged onto disboards in several weeks.:scared1: Friday was my last day at work for the summer so now I will have more free time.I am not going to try to catch up but will just have to jump in.Hope all of you are doing well.:grouphug:

Kat: I feel your pain! Apartment hunting was some of the most stressful, miserable work we EVER did. I'm really glad I don't have to do it anymore! You definitely have my sympathy! :hug:

it erally is a pain in the butt! All I want is decent light, decent size kitchen and a bedroom with a door!

That would be the deal-breaker for me too, Kat. Gots to have plenty of light.

I would settle for any light! LOL.

KatGarcia, what is up with all these DIS gals and wrestling? I know another lady who is retired from that profession. I never did it myself but Dick the Bruiser did used to sign some of my paychecks. Impressed? Do you even know him? :rotfl2:

I def know who Dick the Bruiser is! :goodvibes So who's the other DIS person, if you don't mind my asking??? I"d LOVE to chat with her!!!

so sorry... i can't believe 1000 for a one bedroom. i couldn;t afford to live in nyc!! hopefully a great deal will come your way. i'll keep my fingers crossed for ya!!

I don't wanna be able to afford a one bedroom! LOL. It really is nutso. Esp if you don't wanna live in the carpy areas. Really I'd love to move to Vegas or maybe even Florida (if I could get used to the heat more) because living here is just overpriced!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well what a bad morning we had! At about 10:15am (we went to bed after 3) KC 's phone rings (darn him for not putting it on vibrate) and it's his office. Apparently the girl who he has been covering Mondays for decided today was the day to switch back, and didn't let anyone know!!!! It's her fault and his boss was great about it, told him to just come in at noon and work a few hours thursday to make up for it. I am mad at stupid girl for waking me up and making poor tired groggy KC get on the train and go to work!
So I guess I have my Monday's back! He will only be working from home on Sat/Sun now. We had a bunch of stuff planned today too, I'm annoyed. He wouldn't have started work till 3pm.
Anyways rant over. I am off to mail my paperbackswap books and get some stuff to make crock pot chicken for tonight.
I'm still sick. Today I can't stay in bed all day, because I have Tink. At least my ds is at school all day. :thumbsup2 I awoke this morning and came down stairs to pots and pans, spaghetti sauce and pasta stuck on my cook top, counters and pans, the sink & table were full of dishes. :headache: I swear I can't be sick for one day without my house exploding! My DH has got to be one of the messiest guys out there! I give him kuddos for making dinner, but the mess he leaves behind is something else. Not to mention the breakfast, lunch and dinners worth of counter & kitchen table gunk that I had to santitize 4 times to get them clean. :mad:
I only cleaned it to the point that I could actually make my ds lunch and Tink breakfast... I am too exhausted to do anymore. Thanks honey...:sad2:
I have a school meeting at 4, that I need to be alert for. Not to mention I just realized that my ds's school has this presentation from the Science Museum called an Exploradome. We are scheduled to enter it at 5:30. Anyone have a quick remedy to make me well again? I have the aches, pains and sleepies.
I have to go check and see if they posted the Nov. Park Hours. How is a girl to make a schedule with no park hours? :scared:
Well you need to find the "Chronicles of CE"...
Saturday Night... CE decided to write 2 pages all by herself... I think we did 5 pages that day... And 3 of them after 8:00pm iT too me a while to catch up.
Maybe we could do an "abridged" version for you. But you need to read "The Chronicles of CE" part 1 and 2 all by yourself.... WAYYYY to much to cover there. So get your popcorn:: :goodvibes
KatGarcia, it is Pooh67 and she is on many of the threads I am on. She will be celebrating her upcoming wedding on our Sept trip!
princessjv, honeychild, did you not get the memo that women are not allowed to get sick??? Even if you do you are not allowed to let anyone know and heaven forbid not get all the work done at the same time. It is not that women live longer, it just seems that way. Close your eyes and I promise you that the work will still be there when you feel better. If anyone asks about it not being done here is your answer. "Dear, you know when you ask me what I did all day? Today I did not do it". :banana:
