Yummy, Jo! Now I want a krispi treat! :lmao:

TE- The girls are gorgeous. I don't remember BA having such long hair. :eek: Where'd AB get her blonde hair? :confused3

Well the party went well, they absolutely loved all the Mickey stuff which really surprised me. I'll post some photos later but Ellie's friends will all have blurred heads :rotfl2: Jess was an angel and really helped me, she did get a bit silly later though about sleeping arrangements, she wanted to sleep in with them but also wanted to go to sleep and couldn't understand why they wouldn't :rotfl2: Anyway after I came down at 1.30am to tell them to be quiet I didn't hear them again, well until 7am :faint: Don't kids sleep anymore? :rotfl2:

Sleepover is a misnomer ::yes::

I think it was quiet because it's finally getting nice out and everyone's away from their computers on the weekend. :surfweb:

::yes::

I suppose so, I still need my fix everyday though :rotfl2:

Me too:hug:

I'm sitting here eating left over skittles :rotfl2: David is trying to throw one down my top and is not succeeding so I'm getting even more, men huh :rotfl2:

DAVID! I'm just shocked:rolleyes:

This is a great idea! I wish I had someone to exchange clothes with.

It workls out really great. I only wind up have to buy a few things each season to supplement what she give me. After yesterday I only need to get Jimmy a couple of pairs of jean or cargo shorts:thumbsup2 SHe even gave me a brand new pair of swim shoes, a brand new pair of SPiderman sandals, and 2 pairs of black pennyloafers (all with the tags still on). Jimmy can wear the penny loafers for school in the fall...they are a size biger than what he is now, but with growth spurts and socks we should be good!:thumbsup2

She had a great time!
Both my girlies!:goodvibes

Beautiful!:goodvibes

Here are a few photos of Ellie's party including the Mickey rice crispy cakes we made!

I quoted on FB, but they look look like they had a great time. THe Mickey Rice Krispie Treats came out great!:thumbsup2

------------------------------------------------------------------------

SO we went to the zoo for the grand opening of the new Avian Center. IT was beautiful and Jimmy had a ball! I would show you all the pictures, but my computer just ate my SD card and seleted them all:mad: I HATE GATEWAY:mad::mad::mad:

Now I am doing laundry and Jim and Jimmy went to the grocery store. I am sitting here watching the Phillies game and cehcking in with you guys!

:sad2::sad2: My dryer died :faint: HELP! I wish some of you lived closer, I'd be coming over for coffee. I have 4 loads of :laundy: hanging around my basement. I have no interest in going to the laundry mat:scared: I need you opinions...Lowes, Sears, or Best Buy to buy a new one. At this point since the ewasher and dryer were both here when we moved in (6 years ago) and we don't know how old either one of them are...we are just going to replace both. Any suggestionspopcorn::

Good morning, sunshine-y Fockers! :goodvibes

We're about to go to breakfast, then to visit my FIL in the hospital. I think we may do some shopping after that. Baylie and Riley (the puppy) have bdays this week! :yay: Being at my MIL's this weekend has really helped time pass. I think it's been good for her too to help her keep her mind off of things.

I'll be back, my dumplings... :lovestruc

Aren't we in a good mood? :goodvibes

Don't kids sleep anymore? :rotfl2:

No. :lmao:

I think it was quiet because it's finally getting nice out and everyone's away from their computers on the weekend. :surfweb:

::yes:: Although yesterday wasn't really by choice for me.

I love my family but don't want to spend all evening there but I'm sure we will. :rolleyes:

OK...I'm off to finish getting the kids ready. Hope y'all have a good Sunday! :goodvibes

Hope you're having fun!

I'm sitting here eating left over skittles :rotfl2: David is trying to throw one down my top and is not succeeding so I'm getting even more, men huh :rotfl2:

:eek: :rotfl2:

We all slept in this morning. I didn't get up until 10:30.

Nice!
She had a great time!

She looks lovely, and how nice of her date to wear the matching accessories! When I wore pink, my boyfriend wore grey. :rotfl2:

BA is adorable, too!

Beautiful, do I remember another prom not so long ago????

I think it was the boyfriend's family wedding, but I might be wrong. :goodvibes

My Nanny is still in hospital, they haven't done the heart tests yet as they've had to take her off the heart medicine she was on but hopefully tomorrow!
I hope you find something out. :hug:

046-Copy.jpg
Even blurry, they look happy! :goodvibes

I would show you all the pictures, but my computer just ate my SD card and seleted them all !

Oh, no!

:sad2::sad2: My dryer died :faint: HELP! I wish some of you lived closer, I'd be coming over for coffee.

I'm so sorry. Ours started in several years back, leaving lovely black streaks all over the clothes. We bought the w/d from the previous owner, too, and so we had no idea if it was worth fixing or not. I had someone out, who said, "not." So we have a newer dryer, but really could use a new washer. And now I want a matching set, just because. ;)

We buy all our appliances at Sears. I don't know that it's better, but we have their card and they SO often seem to have 0% deals, where we promptly pay them off in a few months, before any interest kicks in. When we bought the kitchen stuff when we remodeled, it was also some ridiculous thing about buy one appliance, get 10% off, 2, get 20%, etc., and we bought 4. ;) I also think they tend to have a bigger selection, at least around here, but I couldn't say why I think they're better. :confused3

We are leaning towards Sears. They are having a sale 15% off all applliance, plus no interest for 12 months!:thumbsup2 Saw a washer and dryer I liked online, but of course I wnat to go look at the store before buying. Less than $1200 for the set , so easy peasy paying it off before the 12 months are up:thumbsup2

So, my day was kind of weird.

Woody woke me up about 10 minutes before the alarm was set to go off (of course :rolleyes:) to tell me that it was raining really hard, and we might not have baseball practice.

I said OK, got up and checked the e-mail. Nothing. So we all laid back down until it was really time to get up. We got up, the boys started getting dressed, and I came downstairs to start breakfast. I had just popped everything in the toaster and microwave (we like Eggo waffles and pancakes around here) and checked my e-mail again - yep, practice is canceled. :headache:

So I fed the kids, then went back to bed for a bit - they were happily playing the Wii. ;)

Anywho, Buzz had a birthday party to attend all afternoon, and that was fine - Woody just wanted to come back here, which was certainly easy - and then we had some dinner, played Clue Jr., and that's been my day. I've just been messing and keeping half an eye on the basketball game, though I truly couldn't care less. I am not an NBA fan, for all I love college b-ball. :sad2: And I'm certainly not a Celtics fan, so...

I've got nothing going on again tomorrow, and D's still not home until Tuesday night. Hope everyone has a good night and sleeps well. I'll see you tomorrow! :grouphug:

Hiya. Still quiet huh?!

Jo the party looked great!

TE- LOVE the prom pics & Ab's adorable dress!!!

So tonight we went for a walk over to the Verrazano Bridge. Of course I took pics along the way!

It's about a 20 block walk from our house. About half way there I took this one.

2528166010070748021S600x600Q85.jpg

Almost there!

At the end of Bay ridge is Fort Hamilton military base. We plan to go there next week, they have a museum and bowling and a movie theater for really cheap. Outside the entrance to the base is this park with these things in it.

This is the first path we took. It takes you near the water across from the bridge.

2001696850070748021S600x600Q85.jpg

I tried to get us and the bridge, I was happy to have not cut our heads off. LOL.

The bridge from the path.
2925114330070748021S600x600Q85.jpg

We walked a little ways down the path, past some tennis courts and a small park area. I noticed these stairs and thought they looked neat.

2390980500070748021S600x600Q85.jpg

We have been down there before but never that close to the bridge. There are entrances and parks for a 50 block or more radius and different ways to get down there. Apparently there are informational things posted randomly. It was neat to read about.

2505491960070748021S600x600Q85.jpg

There were even people fishing off the rocks. Weird but they were doing it.
2868607140070748021S600x600Q85.jpg

One more bridge shot. It's facing Staten Island and Fort Wadsworth on the other side.

2683208750070748021S600x600Q85.jpg

We parked on a bench for a while but it was really breezy out and getting slightly dark so we didn't last long. This is the view from the bench toward the direction we did not walk. If you go far enough down you can see the Statue of Liberty. Iw as not about to walk that far. LOL.

2590172670070748021S600x600Q85.jpg

I made KC pose. He said it looked like a bad album cover. LOL.
2777323520070748021S600x600Q85.jpg

Another album cover.

A freighter very slowly making its way up New York Bay.
2306190330070748021S600x600Q85.jpg

Then we walked back and picked up some KFC for dinner. The service ended up being so bad, we didn't get any biscuits and it was a mess there. KC plans to write to them about it, it was that bad.

In all we walked about 2 miles, KC looked it up on google maps. LOL.

Tomorrow I am stuck home waiting for a package but Wed night we are going to a concert/show in the city. That meas I get to spend the day in the city before I pick up KC, which I am excited about!

How was everyone else's weekend?

I stayed there when I was in college..I'll have to see if I can dig up the pictures. Let's just say the NCO club was lots of fun ::yes::

Guess I should explaing why.:laughing:

WHen I was in college I was in the Army ROTC. Yes, I actually contemplated joining the army...you can all thank me now:rotfl:. ANyway, when I was a sophmore the Military Science Dept ran a "recruitment" trip. Basically a hey look how much fun you can have if you join the Army. We left Western PA at 4:00 in the afternoon and got to the base at 3:30am :faint: The people driving had no clue where they were going, they took the PA Turnpike to NJ then went north on 95 :faint:

We spent the 1st day (after 3 1/2 hours sleep) on a bus tour doing all the typical NYC stuff...we saw the Statue of Liberty, the Apollo theater and where John Lennon was shot. That night we went to the NCO club...di you know they don't card in there:rolleyes1 Um, we also picked some flowers from in front of the commanding General's on base house:upsidedow

The next day the bus dropped us off at 5th Aveneu and Central Park West at 8:00am and told us go do what you want, be back by 6:00pm:thumbsup2

TE, Jo and Kat - Great pics! :thumbsup2 Everyone looks to have had a great day.

My day was pretty good. Linds had a t-ball game but isn't feeling really well. She's complaing of a sore throat and is almost horse so my guess is it might be strep. Anyways, she wasn't really with it this afternoon at the game. She did have a funny moment though. She was the assigned to the third base position. This one little boy comes running to third base and I can see she is just about to go off on this kid. She is moving her head back and forth and giving him attitude. :rotfl: The coach had to come over and say, 'OK...knock it off you two.' Come to find out its this little boy she went to preschool with last year and DR goes with this year. He is such a bad kid and I hear stories about Steven all the time and how horrible he is from my kids. :sad2: She plays him again tomorrow so we'll see how it goes then.

The rest of the day was spent at my aunt's house for a family picnic. The kids had fun playing with their cousins and my aunt had some fun things set up for them. It was really cool out today though and ended up buliding a bon fire towards evening. The kids had fun doing marshmallows and hot dogs on the fire. We stayed and watched Desperate Housewives and the kids passed out from all the running they did today.

Linds has 3 days of school left and then she is done. :yay: She has 3 field trips as well. My a$$ of an ex e-mailed me this weekend and said he will most likely not be taking the kids this summer. Comes as no shocker on my end though. Of course plans can change, and maybe they will, but of course its all a waiting game and I hate this game. I want to be organized and this way I can't. :rolleyes:

Well, that's it for me and I'm heading to bed. Night everyone!

Weekend Update :

KAT and KC ended up at a Spanish place to eat before the movie on Fri. She said ‘Angels and Demons’ was good but not like the book. Lots of gaming going on at their place. They went for a walk and snapped some photos, post #268, above. Great pictures!

CE got sunburned during tennis. Saturday was picture time, Wendy’s, Target, Wii, headache, Wii, nap, neighbor, beer, leftovers, kiddie movie, Wii! Oh and DIS. Sunday was a bit more subdued. :laughing: Glad you had a fun weekend.

JANET had a clothes swap with a friend for Jimmy. Then they went to the Disney Store. Jim got to do the yard. POOR JIM! She was having a little trouble in the electronics/appliance area. They went to the new avian center at the zoo. She had pictures. The gateway decided they were delicious. None to post now. Now her dryer pooped. She wants to get a new set. Suggestions are welcome. Go where the sales are.

MEL and karaoke, need I say more?

ANGIE headed to Memphis. Happy and safe traveling to you.

JO said the girls helped to get the house cleaned up for the party. The party went great. Ells was a great help. The slumber party lacked some real slumber though. She has some pics on post #260, above. Those treats looked fab. The party looked like fun.

DEB is going to see Star Trek. What did you think?

TE dealt with Prom night. Pictures above, post #258. Ab is gorgeous!

T was exhausted on Saturday. She thinks she will meet Mo on Monday.

DAWN is doing great. MIL likes having them around. :banana:

LORI had a T-ball day on Sunday. They went to her aunts and had food and fun!

MIZ DIZ’s DD had her first ballet recital on Saturday. Then they went to a Braves game. They ate at the ‘Varsity’. What’ll ya have, What’ll ya have??!! DH and I watched a show on the Food network that had a short story on it. We want to stop in some time on our way down to Florida.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Doug was sick on Friday and Saturday. He had a fever and the chills but know stomache problems. Just achy.

The weather was beautiful both Sat. and Sun. Of course I had to work which means I slept through most of it.:headache: It is supposed to be decent for the rest of the week.

The computers here at work were up and running Sunday morning. Tonight was crazy busy. Plus a co-worker, without notice, wanted me to give her some training. :sad2: I should have said no. She stayed over with out pay which is ridiculous. She didn't realize how involed the training was. I think she regretted it when she didn't get out of here until 8:30PM. Maybe next time she'll think about it.

I'll have to mow when I get up today. Yep, that's all I can come up with right now.
I will be at the hospital on Tue and Wed. Rockie's mom has to have her leg removed due to complications from diabetes. Doug's mom is having some blockage removed from an artery in her neck. I'll get back here when I can.

Have a good Monday!

Morning Fockers!

:wave2: Hi Kristal! Thanks for the update. Yay for the computer being back at work and sorry you had to work through the nice weekend. Hoope the next couple days are good for ya though and it can make up for it.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Linds is home from school today. :sick: She has a temp of 101, has a sore throat, stuffy nose and a really dry, almost croupy/seal like, cough. She'll be missing out on her Dairy Queen field trip, as will I since I was volunteering, but we'll end up going tonight. I see no spots on her tonsils so I don't think it's strep, just a cold. I just gave her some cold meds so 10 to 1 she'll be passed out here shortly. Tomorrow they go to the zoo and she so wants to go on that field trip. I hope she's better for that one.

DR is still passed out from last night and I hope he won't get what she has. Heck, I hope I don't get it. :laughing:

So, that's my day today. Maybe I'll get my brother to watch the kids this afternoon so I can run out to school and take this test I need to take along with getting registered for classes. He might be going golfing though so I don't know? I guess just thinking out loud on that one.

OK...I'm off to go cuddle with my sick baby girl and will check back in later. Hope y'all have a good Monday! :cutie:

Oh, no. I'll be thinking of them both.

Linds is home from school today. :sick: She has a temp of 101, has a sore throat, stuffy nose and a really dry, almost croupy/seal like, cough.

Hope she feels better, and the rest of the house avoids it. :hug:

*****************************************************
Nothing at all happening here. I got the boys off to school, then my mom called and we chatted for quite a bit. It's cool and cloudy here today - the rest of the week looks great, but we're under a frost warning for tonight. Brr!

I think I just need to mess around the house some. There's some laundry and just some general clean up that needs doing. I had the boys pick up their room yesterday afternoon, so that's done, but the family room is still kind of unsettled with new toys and such.

Anyway, I'll be around. Hope everyone's having a good enough Monday morning. :grouphug: I saw on FB that V's home with a sick kiddo today, too. :hug: to Leo and Mom.

Good morning!
It's Monday! I never thought I'd be so excited for a Monday, but I am excited about today. :) I'm hoping to get some real info on closing on both of the houses today. The buyers' realtor said Tuesday, maybe Monday for closing, so I'm hoping for tomorrow. K's in Austin working, so he can't just snap his fingers and be here. It's a good 2 hour drive.

So, since my realtor for the sale of my house is out of town, I am hoping my other agent will get everything arranged so we can close both houses in Austin tomorrow. My movers have been so great and are willing to come tomorrow afternoon late to move us in.

Today we're going shopping with B's birthday money. She needs some cute clothes for the summer and school in the fall. :yay:

Good Morning Everyone. Hope everyong is having a delightful morning:goodvibes

Kristel - Sorry Doug isn't feeling well. Hope he is better soon.

CE - Can I send my laundry up to you to dry:rolleyes: Enjoy your day to yourself!

Dawn - Fingers crossed for you my friend. I don't know how you are doing it. I would be soooo stressed out over all of the not knowing. You are a strong woman ::yes::

V - Hope Leo is feeling better!:hug:

Lori - Hope Linds is feeling better too:hug:

Not much going on here today. Work:sad2:. After work I have to drop a friend off, run home get dinner together and then head to a Home and School Meeting at 7:00. Jim has a softball game today (his team is undefeated:cheer2:), so his dad is picking Jimmy up from after school care and bringing him to our house. He will start his homework with him and which ever one of us gets home 1st will finish it with him.

I will check back later. Have a great day everyone:goodvibes

Oink.

:rotfl: Take a look at my ticker... anyone feeling a little deja-vu? Why is someone in my house ALWAYS ill right before a trip?!?! :headache: Sure enough, Leo started coughing and running a fever yesterday and is home sick today. It's not the dreaded flu, I don't imagine; he's running between 99 and 100 and is doing plenty of playing in between rests on the couch. Unfortunately, my glands are beginning to ache and head is throbbing. A little pixie dust sent our way wouldn't be amiss and would be much appreciated!

Previously, we had a fun weekend, though. Leo enjoyed his barn time Sat. morning, and then we went to a friend's son's 3rd bday party. (Baby B from a previous TR.) That evening, he watched the Royal Lippizan Stallions. They're descended from an Austrian line bred for military work and they do some amazing dressage footwork. I'll drop some pics at the end of this post.

Thanks Kristel for the updates! Hope this week looks up for us all. :grouphug:

Good morning!
It's Monday! I never thought I'd be so excited for a Monday, but I am excited about today.

Hope you get a good answer soon!

Sure!

I will check back later. Have a great day everyone:goodvibes

You, too!

Hey girls! Just a quick check in before I head to the gym this morning.

I had a great time with Mo yesterday. She's so much fun and my kids adore her! They were concerned about her being "alone" during the earthquake we had last night. It wasn't a bad one, thankfully. Evan got sick after we came home, I think he was dehydrated from being out in the sun yesterday. It wasn't hot, so I'm not sure what's going on. He's fever free and after he yakked and napped, he seemed fine. I'm staying home with him today, but I'll be back to hang with Mo on Wednesday. We've got a lunch date. ;)

Not too busy this week.... Tuesday is Open House at Maddies school and Evans got a TB test, Wednesday I'm chilln' w/ Mo at DCA/DLR, Thursday I'm going on a field trip with Maddies class to a Nature Center and Friday... looks like I'm free at last! :laughing:

Dawn- Hope you get settled this week!:flower3:

CE - Are you taking laundry orders now??? :confused3

V - Hope Leo feels better soon! Dude, this does always happen to you went your heading for Disney. :headache:

Hi to everyone else!! :wave2:

Yeah... that sounds, um, quiet? :faint: ;)

CE - Are you taking laundry orders now??? :confused3

Sure! ;) No, I don't know if you saw that Janet's dryer died, and I said I was doing some laundry today, so...

*************************************************
So, I've done some dishes, some dusting, some basic decluttering, and things are looking pretty good!

It's SO chilly here. It's only 49, and damp with it, so it's just that kind of yucky chill. :headache: Thankfully, we're supposed to be nice to downright hot the rest of the week. :thumbsup2 88 on Thursday!

Wow I hadn't been on in 4 days :eek:

Debra: that was very odd of your boss to put into your eval. :sad2::confused:

Jo: sorry to hear about your Nanny. :hug: Happy Belated bday to Ellie!!

V: Hope Leo gets better in time for the vacation.

Dawn: Good luck with the house stuff today!

Janet: Sorry about the dryer. I'm with CE, we usually buy our appliances at Sears too.

TE: Abs looked beautiful!

Kristel: :worship: on all the updates

Hi Everyone!! :wave:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well let's see, Thursday my stomach started feeling weird, but I ignored it. Then about 2 hours into work I was literally sick to my stomach. I must've eaten something that did not agree with me or was bad. So I ended up going home early, spent the night in the bathroom and didn't work Friday.
Was feeling better by Saturday morning and had a very relaxing weekend. Cleaned on Saturday and then yesterday went to pick Mom up from the airport since she had been on vacation in Puerto Rico.
Oh and I weighed myself this morning and I've lost 7 pounds! :banana: I was so happy to see I had lost something.
Later Fockers!
