I did my first cardio tennis class today. Let me just say if I could use a word to describe it, it would be a curse word. It was hard. My clothes were soaked. Keep in mind that I am not a tennis player - though I would love to take some classes. The instructor said she does not focus on stroke because the class is for exercise. I told her I am a beginner beginner - major beginner and signed up to get some fun exercise. The other girls in the class were very nice. I was the fattest in the class and just my luck, the newspaper was there taking pictures. The class was 1 1/2 hours and about 30 minutes into it, I wanted to cuss. :rotfl2: The instructor had a code word of "Miami" and it meant that she didn't want the ball to touch the ground. Every time she yelled "Miami" I wanted to yell "South Carolina" because I was ready to go home. :rotfl2: She really mixed up what we were doing and she did this game where you hit the ball and if you missed, you were out and we would rotate. Very quick paced. I had this one moment where I hit the ball really good and went back and forth 4 or 5 times and the other player missed. They were all yelling in surprise that those were really good strokes on my part and someone yelled, "Where did that girl come from?" :rotfl2: I told them it was a fluke.

Yesterday we made mickey head crispy cakes for Ellie's party and they turned out great, I'll post some photos after the party :goodvibes

Yummmm!!

I can't wait to go to Disney and make my rice crispy head and Goofys. I also like the marshmellows. mmmmmm! No dieting at Disney!:rotfl2:

Ok......calling all bag experts..........I need a bag for the Bahamas.........looking at the bagillini---can't spell that------------which one do you all like for day use? (remember I'm vertically challenged so not too big!)

I like my bagallini. I have the messenger, but I would warn you that I have to shorten it up all the way for it to be comfy for me, and I've got a much longer torso than you do. ;)

Have a great day everyone:goodvibes

You, too!

What do you think?

I agree with you and everyone else. That's ridiculous. As I said, we don't even keep score now, and we're a level above t-ball. :sad2:

Played a golf match today, it was meant to be horrid weather but it kept fine so that was good, we lost though. It was a foursomes comp which is alternate shots and my partner kept putting me in bushes and stuff :rotfl2: It was good experience for her though as she is a new member and not very good yet, she will be though :thumbsup2

I'm glad you had fun, anyway. :)

 I just got back from getting my hair cut and the hairdresser cut it way too short! I hate it, Mom keeps telling me it looks fine but I can barely even pull it into a ponytail! Thank goodness my hair grows quickly but I am sad that it is going to look horrible in the vacation photos. :sad2:

I'm sure you're beautiful.

I did my first cardio tennis class today. Let me just say if I could use a word to describe it, it would be a curse word.

Told ya... :rolleyes1 :lmao::hug:

And yeah, the cardio at our club has nothing to do with hitting well - it's all about the running.

Just a quick final "BYE" from the library !!! See ya when I get back !!

Bye, Rosie!

*****************************************************
Tennis was OK, but this particular class (and this sounds bad) was full of the slower, not as talented people from my team. They are SO nice - I like them a lot - but the tennis itself just isn't as good. I had more fun yesterday, but it was still nice to be outside. It was around 70, sunny... Nice! :goodvibes

I went to the store, and that was fine. I think I need to call and see if I should go now and pay for the van, so that I can pick it up anytime over the weekend. I don't much want to leave the house again, but it's better to go now.

did you have fun at least? Are you going to go back? You guys inspire me to play tennis...on the wii. :lmao:

Yummmm!!

I can't wait to go to Disney and make my rice crispy head and Goofys. I also like the marshmellows. mmmmmm! No dieting at Disney!:rotfl2:

:confused3 where are you making rice crispy heads? I think ive heard of putting tons of toppings and stuff on them? is that what your talking about?

Ya...i spent months living at WDW and i still didnt do half the stuff. Did you guys know that ive never gone on primevil whirl or seen the canada show...or see the stunt show...or any of the dark rides... BUT i love love love te carousel of progress.:cloud9: I probably saw that 20 times. plus a couple of naps.

My first midterm today went ok. I wish i could say i did better. I just feel ok about it.

Last night watched LOST and Greys anatomy!:happytv: Who wants to chat?popcorn::

BTW the tball things seems a little wacked to me. :sad2: I agree its teaching poor lessons to care only about winning. wheres the team comraderie and spirit?

Mo- have a great time. Sorry about the dogs.

Told ya... :rolleyes1 :lmao::hug:
Yes you did! And I was hoping you were wrong. In June they are going to start doing the class for an hour. They said too many people were complaining that the 1 1/2 hours was too long. I'm soooo glad.

It was fun, but there were some not so fun moments where I really thought I could use a break and could drink a gallon of water. We could go get water whenever we wanted, but I wish I had brought more.

After 30 minutes of it, I told myself I would not go back, but by the time the class ended, I figured since I survived, I would do it again. Plus, I already paid $90 for 6 classes. :rolleyes1

Yes - the ones where you put candy and toppings on them. You make them at Goofy's Candy Shop. I put AND goofy's in my post, but I meant AT Goofys.
I love the Mickey head dipped in chocolate and then covered with the Heath bar topping.

I like to keep it simple - tastes better. We also did marshmellows and the kids had theirs covered in everything. I used chocolate, oreo topping, and some m&ms.

I can't believe you haven't done all that stuff at WDW. I haven't done carousel of progress since I was a kid. We need to do that one.

At least your midterm is over.

I did watch Lost and am going to watch Grey's tonight.

Afternoon Fockers!

Sorry no quotes but I did read thru everything.

I am sooooooooo sick today and have absolutely no energy. We had McD's last night for dinner after Lindsey's t-ball game. I haven't had McD's in almost a month and decided a cheeseburger sounded good. Ummmmmm...yeah my tummy didn't think so.

So needless to say absolutely nothing got done today. I hope I'm better by tomorrow though because we have a lot to do this weekend.

Hope y'all are having a good day.

What dates. I will send them to you;)
You're OK I got them and I they matched my best days :thumbsup2

They were all yelling in surprise that those were really good strokes on my part and someone yelled, "Where did that girl come from?" :rotfl2: I told them it was a fluke.
Wooohooooo

Oh no

The girls have laid the table ready for Ellie's party, this getting older business has it's perks doesn't it :rotfl2:

Yes you did! And I was hoping you were wrong. In June they are going to start doing the class for an hour. They said too many people were complaining that the 1 1/2 hours was too long. I'm soooo glad.

I can't imagine. Ours is only an hour here.

So you are saying that these are the people I need to be playing with. :lmao:

Maybe. One is older, and can hit lovely shots WHEN she can reach them, but is easy to beat because she can't move. One started even after I did, and doesn't even have the lovely shot going, is older, doesn't move, etc. One is probably my age or younger, but was out of tennis for over 6 months with a knee injury and isn't at all consistent. The other there was the partner I won a match with - she doesn't try except in matches, and the other is probably on par or a bit better than I am. It was just that yesterday, everyone is a level ahead of me, at least, and yet I held my own. That somehow made it more satisfying. ;) And like I said, I like them all a lot (with maybe the exception of my partner who doesn't try...) but it's not the class for me, which is fine - I usually can't go on Fridays. ;) I would have done great in that class this time last year. :thumbsup2

And it's not like I don't mess up - but I do seem to tend to either play up or play down to the level of the opponents.

That means you're getting tons better :thumbsup2

I do think, maybe, some. ::yes::

The girls have laid the table ready for Ellie's party, this getting older business has it's perks doesn't it :rotfl2:

Nice! :)

Thanks Mary and CE---I'm playing around on ebags to see what they have. Mousesavers has 15%off!:thumbsup2

So Mary----sounds like CE needs to fly south for the summer and give you some tennis lessons! Oh oh! I can do TAE KWON Do now too! ;):lmao:

Drive by!
Sorry this is kind of a downer... :confused3

This has been my life since I last posted:
We got all moved out yesterday about noon.
About 1pm K got a call that my FIL had a stroke.
I went to relieve my MIL (who had my kids) so she could meet the ambulance at the hospital.
K went to the hospital too.
About 3pm I got a call that we wouldn't be closing until Monday, maybe Tuesday.
I got mad that we worked so hard to get moved for nothing.
I realized that my girls' costumes are packed at the front of the moving truck and they won't have them for dance pics on Monday. I had to tell the girls and they were upset.
I cry...

We find out that FIL is doing much better. He can move his right side again, but his speech is still not normal. We're very optimistic that he's almost back to himself already.

I'm drained! :headache:

Today I took the kids to the empty house to try and do a few paint touch-ups and steam clean the chairs the buyers wanted. The water's off. We go to leave since I can't do anything and the girls start crying because they'll miss our house and friends. :headache:

I had a bright idea to take the kids to the Earl of Sandwich to spread a little Disney magic here at home, and A refused to eat the pizza sandwich that he swears he hates even though he loved it at DTD. So, people are looking at him b/c he's acting like a fool. He starts yelling that he doesn't want anyone to look at him. I packed up his lunch, finished eating, and took him back to my MILs. I sat him down and told him to eat now. Still, people were looking at him and he couldn't eat, so he starts crying. I finally had to put him in a room alone until he could pull it together. :sad2:

I'm glad that we're almost done with this. It's been delayed time after time, but the contract says we have to close by Wednesday close of business. So, it's almost over. My poor family.... :guilty: Anyway, I have access to the computer here, so I can at least read along until Tuesday. :goodvibes

Yuck! Feel Better:hug:

Thanks for the Tip!:thumbsup2

This has been my life since I last posted:

Awww, sorry Dawn. Hope things turn around soon:hug: Sending good thought from Philly for your FIL:goodvibes

Dawn: That's all AWFUL. I'm so sorry. Things will be better soon!!!!

Mel:banana:

Hello Everyone!

CE had a busy day with tennis and school stuff. She had to play with less talented persons today. Do you mean you were a little board?

V is doing a horse themed weekend. Have fun!

SHARKY’s area will be getting a touch of Disney this year. :woohoo:

DEB thinks the T-ball coach is taking the game way too serious. One poor kid has issues at home and isn’t very consistent but it’s not his fault. I agree with you. I'd try to help if I could. Some people are so uncaring.

JO had a new partner in golf. She kept making Jo clean up her bad shots. This kind of couples game would be the pits. I'm glad you can laugh about it.

LESSA got a major chop at the salon that she didn’t want.

MIZ DIZ got a major workout with a tennis theme. :sad2: I'm glad you got through it.
ROSIE has left the building.

CEL BEL lived at WDW and still didn’t do it all.

LORI was sick. She thinks Ronald McDonald was to blame. Get well soon!

Hi TE! Good luck with finding the perfect bag.

DAWN’s FIL had a stroke and they are not closing now until Monday. She’s had a very rough day. I'm so sorry! Like you said, it will end soon. I hope your FIL gets back to 100% soon.

It's thunderbooming outside again. There is a Tornado Watch for our area. :scared1:

I found out when I got to work that our computer system is down for an upgrade all weekend. It's just the program that we use for our inventory and daily business. It's going to be a long couple of nights. JOY!

Have a great weekend!

I am partial to the Vera Bradley hipster. I use it in NYC all the time. It's soft and easy to wear, and there is a mini version if thats too big. ebags had them on sale!

Last night watched LOST and Greys anatomy!:happytv: Who wants to chat?popcorn::

Yea we watched Lost today- wow was all i could say after wards!

So needless to say absolutely nothing got done today. I hope I'm better by tomorrow though because we have a lot to do this weekend.

Feel better!

Sorry this is kind of a downer... :confused3

So sorry about FIL! Here's a few :hug:

?????????????????????????????????????????

Well KC was up until 7am beating Resident Evil 5 so we didn't get up in time for the Dim Sum. if you don't get there around noon the good food is always gone. So we just went early to the theater and discovered a spanish deli place so KC got a plate of spanish food and I got a ham sandwich. Then we had some Dunkin iced coffee and went to the movie.

It was good. It wasn't like the book much. It kind of annoyed me. KC never read it and enjoyed the movie, so thats something. We walked home (about 25 blocks maybe) and made a few stops. Then we came home and relaxed and watched Lost.

We just had breakfast for dinner and are going to finish watching the season finale of Hell's kitchen and then I guess KC wants to play his Xbox again, so more silly pc games for me.

Happy Friday!

Oh, Dawn. I'm so sorry for everything. Please know good thoughts are heading your way. pixiedust:

Oh, no. Hope you get through it!

****************************************************
Well... I got a LOT of sun today during the tennis! I used to be one of those annoying people who never burned and always tanned, but I think the current BCP I'm on is affecting me. I am super good about putting sunscreen on the kids, but I still haven't gotten used to having to do it to me. Now, in general, I should wake up tomorrow and it will be brown - and I'm not in pain - but I know it's dangerous. :sad2:

The kids came in and played outside and then the Wii, and then we watched Bedtime Stories. I'd gotten it from the Disney Movie Club (which I'm still not sure isn't a scam, but I did get 4 really cheap movies to start with... ;) ) It was really cute!

Now I'm watching my "guilty pleasure" Friday shows - What Not to Wear, and Say Yes to the Dress is next! :goodvibes D actually likes WNTW, but he gets really annoyed when I watch the bridal gown show. I don't know why... :rolleyes1:rotfl2: It can be such a train wreck - so entertaining! And I never realized how much skin people show at their wedding! :scared1: I mean, I had off-the-shoulder, but you couldn't see the skin on my belly. :scared:

Anywho, hope everyone has a good night - I might check back. I am drinking some wine, but I have to be cautious - that stupid 7:30 a.m. picture time is staring me in the face. :headache:

Evening all. Jimmy is in bed - FINALLY:headache: Sitting here watching the end of the Phillies game so I thought I'dpop in and say hi.

T ball tomorrow in the morning and then I am taking Jimmy over to my girlfriend's house for the "great clothing exchange". She gives me things that her oldest has outgrown for Jimmy, and I give her Jimmy's stuff that he has outgrown for her younger son. WOrks out great since I usually only have to buy a few things each season to enhance what she gives me. After that we may hit the Cherry Hill Mall. They have a DIsney Store there:rolleyes1. Jim is going to stay home and do yard work. When I get home I will have to do the laundry becasue on Sunday we are going to the zoo. It is the grand opening of their nee Avian Center. Members Only Preview, so it should be fun and not too crowded:thumbsup2

Hope everyone has a good weekend!:goodvibes
