I'm the only one awake.....

Bob's sleeping a bit more. Apparently he was awake for a good part of last night as the huge thunderstorms rolled through. They woke me the other night but not last night. I must have been tired!

I'm going to put a pot of coffee on and make some orange rolls. The boys have music lessons at 11 and 11:30 so we've got a bit of time till that happens. Tonight we are going to the dive bar, to karaoke! Bob's coming with me and Laura's bringing her hubby so it should be fun. The boys are staying home.

Well, I want to go make the coffee so I'll go for now. You guys have a GREAT Saturday!

 :cool1: :goodvibes

I'm on my way to Memphis to see my family. So don't want to, but I think Mitch will be back at the Navy base Monday and I may get to see him for a minute before I leave. I'll check in Tuesday before I'm off to Richmond Thursday. I thought all this travel in such a short time was a good ides why? ;)

I do think, maybe, some. ::yes::
:thumbsup2

Drive by!
Sorry this is kind of a downer... :confused3
I'm so sorry about your FIL and hope he makes a full recovery  As for the housing situation that just sounds silly, is that how they all are? Here you all move on the same day and that day is arranged a few weeks in advance to give you time to pack!

Hope she has fun at her party!
I'm sure she will, me not so much :rotfl2:

This kind of couples game would be the pits. I'm glad you can laugh about it
What else can you do :rotfl2:

I found out when I got to work that our computer system is down for an upgrade all weekend. It's just the program that we use for our inventory and daily business. It's going to be a long couple of nights. JOY!

It was good. It wasn't like the book much. It kind of annoyed me. KC never read it and enjoyed the movie, so thats something. We walked home (about 25 blocks maybe) and made a few stops. Then we came home and relaxed and watched Lost.
David wants to see it but neither of us has read the book!

Well... I got a LOT of sun today during the tennis! I used to be one of those annoying people who never burned and always tanned, but I think the current BCP I'm on is affecting me. I am super good about putting sunscreen on the kids, but I still haven't gotten used to having to do it to me. Now, in general, I should wake up tomorrow and it will be brown - and I'm not in pain - but I know it's dangerous.
Whoops, it's so easy to forget!

She gives me things that her oldest has outgrown for Jimmy, and I give her Jimmy's stuff that he has outgrown for her younger son.
Sounds great as long as Jimmy doesn't get taller than her boy :rotfl2: My SIL's used to give me their girls old clothes for Jess, they are exactly 1 and 2 years older than Jess is. Well it worked fine till Jess got to about 5 when she became taller than them :rotfl2:

I'm going to put a pot of coffee on and make some orange rolls.
Sounds nice and have fun tonight!

Well the house is ready, the girls have been fantastic they laid the table last night and after golf today Jess hoovered, Ellie dusted and I cleaned the kitchen and bathrooms, great team work :thumbsup2 They're not arriving for another 2 hours so we're now chilling. All Ellie wanted to eat was pasta and tomato sauce and garlic bread so easy peasy. I'm using all the Mickey party stuff so that's great. The worst bit is the 7 girls aren't being picked up until about 11am tomorrow :rotfl2:

Hi Fockers!

I feel so much better today! Thanks for all the get better wishes. :goodvibes

I read thru things but don't have much time to quote. Dawn, I'm sorry about your FIL but glad to hear he is doing better. with all the moving stuff...what a mess! But it's almost done and you guys can all be in one place as a family and start fresh in a new house. Jo have fun with the b-day party!

My kids are in the tub and I have about 2 minutes before I have to get them out to get ready. Lindsey is supposed to have a t-ball game at 2 but its now gotten really dark out and I think I hear rain outside. So, the game may be off. We'll see if the coach calls.

Other than t-ball not much planned. I started some laundry and will have to clean up some today. Hope y'all are having a good Saturday!

:grouphug::grouphug: to Dawn
Update on the tball situation. the boy showed up today at the game. coach seemed aggrevated but was trying to give him some instructions just before the game. I don't know if he talked to the dad or not. We played one inning then it started lightning so we had to cancel. Our next game is Monday so we wont have a practice before then. I plan on calling the dad to see what I can do to help regarding transportation.

You know if you come to Atl, you have to give me a call.
Are you in ATL? I'm about an hour west of 6flags. The disney train is coming to duluth in October. We are trying to make it to that stop.

We are going to see star trek this afternoon. Grocery shopping. Cleaning. Making some lists for Disney. Packing. Etc.

Drive by!
Sorry this is kind of a downer... :confused3

This has been my life since I last posted:
We got all moved out yesterday about noon.
About 1pm K got a call that my FIL had a stroke.
I went to relieve my MIL (who had my kids) so she could meet the ambulance at the hospital.
K went to the hospital too.
About 3pm I got a call that we wouldn't be closing until Monday, maybe Tuesday.
I got mad that we worked so hard to get moved for nothing.
I realized that my girls' costumes are packed at the front of the moving truck and they won't have them for dance pics on Monday. I had to tell the girls and they were upset.
I cry...

We find out that FIL is doing much better. He can move his right side again, but his speech is still not normal. We're very optimistic that he's almost back to himself already.

I'm drained! :headache:

Today I took the kids to the empty house to try and do a few paint touch-ups and steam clean the chairs the buyers wanted. The water's off. We go to leave since I can't do anything and the girls start crying because they'll miss our house and friends. :headache:

I had a bright idea to take the kids to the Earl of Sandwich to spread a little Disney magic here at home, and A refused to eat the pizza sandwich that he swears he hates even though he loved it at DTD. So, people are looking at him b/c he's acting like a fool. He starts yelling that he doesn't want anyone to look at him. I packed up his lunch, finished eating, and took him back to my MILs. I sat him down and told him to eat now. Still, people were looking at him and he couldn't eat, so he starts crying. I finally had to put him in a room alone until he could pull it together. :sad2:

I'm glad that we're almost done with this. It's been delayed time after time, but the contract says we have to close by Wednesday close of business. So, it's almost over. My poor family.... :guilty: Anyway, I have access to the computer here, so I can at least read along until Tuesday. :goodvibes

Oh sweetie---hugs to you and your family.:hug: Keep us updated as you can about your FIL.

Let the kid stuff go--moving is always stressful and they know grandpa is sick. Just take it a day at a time.

I am partial to the Vera Bradley hipster. I use it in NYC all the time. It's soft and easy to wear, and there is a mini version if thats too big. ebags had them on sale!

Y
I'll check that out too. Trying to read reviews about how comfy they are---wish I had shopping close enough to try them out but that's why I'm shopping early!

Hope yours was good, too!

Travel safely - we'll miss you!

Here you all move on the same day and that day is arranged a few weeks in advance to give you time to pack!

I'm not Dawn, but this is pretty nutty in my experience. Poor thing. We moved the same day. ::yes::

Well, up at 6:30, which was SO much fun. The coach was smart and gave us a picture time that was actually 15 minutes earlier than our scheduled time, but then it was nearly an hour for the whole ordeal. We had to head straight to the game - no time to grab coffee :scared: - but that went well.

Woody is having a ridiculously hard day - we were up a bit late, but not that bad. He himself is saying, "I don't know what's wrong with me." Poor kid. :sad2: But it's been hard. Anyway, we came home after the game and changed clothes, then went out to Wendy's, went to Target to pick up a prescription refill for me and a birthday present for a party that Buzz is invited to for tomorrow afternoon.

We came back and they played Wii for a while, then went outside. They came back in, played a little more - I am fighting yet another headache. I have NO idea what's going on. My migraines have always been pretty cyclical, and this isn't the time, it's the third day in a row - I don't know if it's weather or what. Sigh. Anyway, I dozed a bit and then my neighbor called to see if I could give an opinion on her dress for her DS8's First Communion tomorrow. ;) Then she kindly drove me to pick up the van because it's on the way to her DS's baseball game. We had a beer on the porch first. :rolleyes1 :lmao: She needed to vent about all the family in for the Communion, and I just thought a beer sounded good! :rotfl:

The kids are having leftovers for dinner, and we're going to watch a fairly short kiddie movie (Doogal, not my fave, but they love it and it IS short) and then get to bed a little earlier, as we have the 8:00 practice tomorrow morning. :sad2:

I'll probably be around later! I told Woody I'd play his new Wall-E Wii game because he can't figure out what to do, so if I play, maybe I can help. I like the Lego games, myself - they're pretty intuitive and they are fun! ;) The only thing I don't like is that you can't do a save mid-level, which can be problematic with the kids.

Gosh, I'm babbling... :rotfl2: See you later! :grouphug:

Wow it's quiet around here today! It's nearly 7pm and we haven't passed a page yet- crazy!

Nothing much to report today. KC worked, I made some peanut butter bread. pork chops for dinner. I'm hoping we are going to walk over to the Verrazano Bridge tonight. I'll take some pics if we do.

Hope you are all out having fun and have awesome weather!

Dawn -   Sending good mojo to your FIL.

I ready, but I'm so out of it, I'm not sure I retained anything. :confused3

We had an early morning today - pancake breakfast at Maddie's school. Evan saw a friend from his preschool there with his mom, who happens to be a teacher at Maddie's school. So, Evan's excited to start kinder in the fall now. :goodvibes

I'm exhausted, though. Andy and I were supposed to hit F&W Fest tomorrow and try to hook up with Mo, but I think I'll have to wait until Monday to hang out with her. I hope she enjoyed the library today. The weather is fabulous this week! :thumbsup2

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend. :)

Oh and I can't remember who was talking about Vera Bradley, but thanks to V, I've got 5 of them now. I love them, especially for Disney. The straps are so soft, you forget your wearing it.

Wow, really quiet today!

Had Tball at 10:00, then came home loaded up the van with all of the clothes Jimmy has outgrown and Jimmy;) and headed to my girlfriends house for the great clothing exchange. From there we headed to the Cherry Hill Mall and hit the Disney Store, where they were having a 40% off sale:thumbsup2 After that we went to my cousins house for a "short" visit. 2 hours later we left and came home. Got home about 5:15 or so.

JIm stayed here and did the yerd work (finished chiopping down the tree we lost in the storm) and mowed the lawn/edged/etc.

We had pizza for dinner and then took a walk. THen came home, but then Jimmy wanted to ride his scooter so he and Jim were going to take another walk.

Tomorrow we are going to the zoo. It is the members only preview of their new Avian Center. Should be fun, I just hope the weather holds out.

Oh...and I found out that that DIsney train is coming to Philly October 27th!:thumbsup2

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!:goodvibes

Good morning, sunshine-y Fockers! :goodvibes

We're about to go to breakfast, then to visit my FIL in the hospital. I think we may do some shopping after that. Baylie and Riley (the puppy) have bdays this week! :yay: Being at my MIL's this weekend has really helped time pass. I think it's been good for her too to help her keep her mind off of things. :)

I'll be back, my dumplings... :lovestruc

Wow not even 1 page in 24 hours, what's wrong????

I plan on calling the dad to see what I can do to help regarding transportation.
Good for you :thumbsup2

PROM nite tonite!! Her hair is done........flowers picked up........meeting for pics at the lake at 5:15! :thumbsup2 Got her nails done Thurs---her first acrylics--they look really nice.
Oooh hope she had fun!

That's great - well, except the 11:00 bit. :) Hope you're all having fun!
Except it was actually 11.30 :rotfl2: Hope your headaches go away CE and wow that was an early start but sounded like a nice day!

So, Evan's excited to start kinder in the fall now. :goodvibes.
Awww sweet!

I'm so pleased

Well the party went well, they absolutely loved all the Mickey stuff which really surprised me. I'll post some photos later but Ellie's friends will all have blurred heads :rotfl2: Jess was an angel and really helped me, she did get a bit silly later though about sleeping arrangements, she wanted to sleep in with them but also wanted to go to sleep and couldn't understand why they wouldn't :rotfl2: Anyway after I came down at 1.30am to tell them to be quiet I didn't hear them again, well until 7am :faint: Don't kids sleep anymore? :rotfl2:

Jo- We're supposed to have a joint bday sleepover after we get settled. I am NOT looking forward to it. :sad2: I'm glad you all had fun. :cutie:

Ellie's turning 11? So, B's 1 year and a day older than her. C's Bday is 2 weeks after B's. We have 5 family bdays this week!

I think it was quiet because it's finally getting nice out and everyone's away from their computers on the weekend. :surfweb:

Morning Fockers!

Wow...quiet day yesterday. Glad you guys had a good party Jo. And I think it is a rule at sleepovers to never sleep and then crash once you get home. LOL And glad you are settled Dawn, well for now.

We have a busy day planned. We'll be heading to church in a few minutes. After that we'll come home and change and get Linds ready for her t-ball game. It's chilly out today but its supposed to be sunny. No sun yet so hopefully it will be out by this afternoon. Once t-ball is over we are heading to my aunt's house for a family picnic. I love my family but don't want to spend all evening there but I'm sure we will.

OK...I'm off to finish getting the kids ready. Hope y'all have a good Sunday! :goodvibes

Jo- We're supposed to have a joint bday sleepover after we get settled. I am NOT looking forward to it. :sad2: I'm glad you all had fun. :cutie:
I think it gets easier as they get older, yes they do stay awake longer but they also do a lot more for themselves :thumbsup2

Ellie's turning 11? So, B's 1 year and a day older than her. C's Bday is 2 weeks after B's. We have 5 family bdays this week!
Wow I bet if you put them together you'd think there was about 3 or 4 years between them, Ellie is such a shortie :rotfl2:

I think it was quiet because it's finally getting nice out and everyone's away from their computers on the weekend. :surfweb:

I suppose so, I still need my fix everyday though :rotfl2:

Wow you do have a busy day!!!!

I'm sitting here eating left over skittles :rotfl2: David is trying to throw one down my top and is not succeeding so I'm getting even more, men huh :rotfl2:

I'm drained! :headache:

You have had a lot going on. It's almost over. Hang in there.
I am taking Jimmy over to my girlfriend's house for the "great clothing exchange".
This is a great idea! I wish I had someone to exchange clothes with.
Tonight we are going to the dive bar, to karaoke! Bob's coming with me and Laura's bringing her hubby so it should be fun. The boys are staying home.

That sounds fun. :thumbsup2
Are you in ATL? I'm about an hour west of 6flags. The disney train is coming to duluth in October. We are trying to make it to that stop.
Mr Diz works in ATL and we live in the burbs, up 400. I used to work in Duluth, which that area is now called Johns Creek.

Takes us about 45 min to get to 6 flags. Last year his company did a family day at 6 flags and we upgraded our ticket to a 6 day pass. ds wants to go again b/c he loves the rollercoasters, but I'm not wanting to this summer.

What is the disney train?
PROM nite tonite!! Her hair is done........flowers picked up........meeting for pics at the lake at 5:15! :thumbsup2 Got her nails done Thurs---her first acrylics--they look really nice.

This sounds like something Mr Diz would do.

DD had her first ballet recital yesterday. I'll post pics later.

We went to the Braves game last night. We had fun, but the Braves lost big time. They didn't even get a home run. Before we went to the game, we ate at The Varsity.

We all slept in this morning. I didn't get up until 10:30.

She had a great time!
