Team Focker Watch Chat - Good Grief We Talk A Lot! Part 5

Thanks for the advice, friends! I read each one and took Jen's advice of not to go back! :lmao: Well, actually, we decided to take her to see her pediatrician who we really like. She wants to see the x-ray and have a radioglogist read it, then she will coordinate care with the chiro. I thought that was reasonable and they said I could get her x-ray this afternoon if I wanted.

I hope you get it taken care of...poor baby.

My friend took her DD to see a chiro shortly after birth because she was colicy. The chiro picked up the baby by the feet and swung her around. Apparently...it healed the child and she didn't cry so much. Ummm...I'm giving that a hell no on the parental front! :confused3 :rotfl:

And I just skimmed through the last few pages and Jen, I wanted to give you a few of these

I live with my dad and even though it's nothing like your situation I know how you feel. For as much as I loved my mom we could never live together.

Thanks honey. I have money in savings to get a house...but I would like to have a job first.

I'm giving myself 2 more weeks to get a job...otherwise I'm packin' up and going home. Back to my hometown.

I don't know what I'm going to do. I don't want to start Jon in a school here if we can't stay here. I need a job. My supervisor has offered to hold my position back home.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!

I've got to talk with the kids each day though and see how they are doing. They are having a good time but not doing much. Basically swimming at the hotel pool and that's about it. 2 weeks with 2 kids in a hotel room the size of a moderate room does not sound like my cup of tea. But hey, the ex made his descision.

And this is so sad and kind of made me mad at the same time. The soon to be ex brought his fiance' along with him on this trip. They were supposed to be sleeping in seperate rooms but when the ex checked into the hotel he got a 1 room suite (basically like a studio). I let him have it his way because he did try correcting the mistake by going to another hotel but couldn't find anything that he could afford or that was available in his price range.

So, last night when I was talking with Lindsey she said something like how daddy was sleeping in the same bed with the finace'. I didn't say much about it and just let it go because I didn't want to upset her. So, after I got off the phone with her the soon to be ex gets on and had to clairfy his statement and was like 'I was not sleeping in the same bed as A. Lindsey saw the extra pillow there and that's why she said it.' And as I told him on the phone thank you for clairifying your statement to me but 1)this is why you and A should have been in seperate rooms to begin with and 2)I hope you are now realizing that our kids are 5 and 3 and don't quite get the concept of, as Lindsey puts it, mommy and daddy being 'unmarried.' With that he hung the phone up on me. :headache:

Oh well...reality will be hitting them hard having to spend two weeks with the kids and then when they get done with their little month long vacation and have to go back to living in the real world. Can I just LMAO when that happens and throw it back in his face? Or would that be too immature???

Well I'm off to enjoy my night out on the town. Wish me luck...maybe I'll win some money. :)

Oh honey... I can't even imagine.

I've never had to deal with that...because Jon's biological sperm donor abandoned him when he was 1. I've been a singls parent Jon's whole life...because even before he left, he was in the Navy and we weren't together. I couldn't even imagine being in your situation.

Thats it Girls! We have enough of you who want to shop at the MOA. We can have a GIRLS WEEKEND! Janet the Mall of America DOES have a QVC store! :thumbsup2 So did you all know that we also DO NOT HAVE TAX on clothing. Nope! None! The tax our property up the ying-yang instead!

Tell me when and where. Jen can get her shop on.

Soooo...you're in Minnesota. Do you ever say: "Ya sure...you betcha?"

My step-father is from Minnesota...and his accent comes out at the funniest times.

G-LUV JEN JEN-
Motha was thinking it was all Kosher between you and her, or what? :confused3 Did she enforce such child labor onto you when you where a kiddo? BTW- I am proud of you for teaching Jon how to exist on his own. DRIVES ME BATTY to watch parents NOT parent their children and teach them how to care for themselves. Batty!:headache:

Yup...the motha thought all was Kosher. And yes, she's been like this my entier life.

This is the truth...when we were little, we got chore lists. Sounds reasonable right? My motha had no chores...only my brothers and I did. My parents divorced when I was 11, and after that, I was responsible for the house because my mom worked. I cooked, cleaned, and took care of my two younger brothers. If a friend spent the night at my house, she gave them a chore list too. Ask meeska...she got chore lists all the time.

And I am proud to say it...I am a strict mommy with a loving hand. I love my little booger more than anything. But, I don't put up with no mess. Don't mistake...I'm not a spanking mommy. Jon's never been spanked in his life. But, I am a firm disciplinarian. Jon is expected to have manners, to be polite, to fulfill his part of the family obligations, and to work hard in school. A lot of parents of children who are disabled coddle their babies. I do that too...but I also hold him to a really high standard. Because if I don't prepare him for the world, who will? He can clean, he's learning to cook, and he is polite. He says "yes ma'am" for no reason at all...just because he's been taught to do that. And if he is going to step out of line...it will be at home. Because he knows if he steps outta line outside of my house, he will have heck to pay at home.

Jen---can u send Jon over.....I need the dishwasher emptied and the horses moved to the other pasture. :lmao: ;)

Jon asked if there is any horse poop involved...because apparently, that is the deal breaker. :lmao:

See you can tell Mo you now have proof I'm a Brit :rotfl2:

:lmao: Mo...Jo's a brit. She didn't even connect New Mexico with Mexico.

OMG that is so my Mum :headache:

We should all hold weekly therapy sessions. :rotfl:

Hi gang,

Too much to even try to get a hold of here.. I'm totally out of the loop.

We interrupt the "Focker Flow" with this Announcement"
A few of you have sent me PM's asking "WTH" is up with my "DO-OVER" WDW Trip.. (since you noticed the siggie ticker disappeared)

The short version.. My Back is out so the drive will be tough.
And even though it was a bare bones "DO OVER" I was still ancy about the whole thing.

And Sara has sprained her ankle.. new today
We got $533.00 in the mail today from some Gov. Tobacco Reimbursement Settlement. So that takes some of the sting of the week out.

So.. As of the moment we are BACK ON for Florida..
And since the kids do not know.. no big disappointments.

Stay tuned to this Station for Further Developments.

We now return you to your "Focker Line of Thought" Already in Progress

LORI: Sorry your soon to be ex is a dipwad. Be glad he's someone else's issue now! Kids are remarkably resilient to the stupid things that their parents do. True. Your awesomely POSITIVE love will outweigh any ODD or BAD things the dipwad does!!!

+++++++++++++++++++++++
OK, I left the house today for the library with ONE kid.
Found a friend at the library for the kid who WASNT with me and took him home.
Found out when I got home with ONE kid and ONE friend that the older
kid had invited another friend.
So, I ended up making spaghetti for 4 boys and me. DH is still driving home from Indy.

Kicked all kids downstairs to play video games. Apparently two friends are spending the night. (huh? :confused3 ) and I'm watching a movie in a minute with the youngest ds. Got a strawberry rhubarb crisp into the oven (rhubarb is NUTSO in my garden) and it smells soooooooo yummy!

MEL:banana:

:goodvibes I don't want anyone to worry about us. We're fine. It was just a mess to drive in. I'm a smart mama now and we're staying home all day. ::yes:: It's been dumping buckets of rain on us on and off all day. I'm sure K's loving this for our lawn. :rotfl:

No matter how much it rains we don't have to worry about flooding either. Our house is up on a hill. The back and front yards both go down and there's a drain at the front of my house. So, that's nice to never have to worry about that.

Anyway, I'm just doing some math with the kids, and then planning some lessons for the fall. I'll check in laters, girls. :cutie:

Well it's good to know your safe from rain and flodding.

Thanks. :goodvibes And you know part of me wishes the same thing would happen here but that would just hurt my kids. But I've been pretty much a single parent as well. Yes, I was married but he always put his work and career before family. It'll just catch up to him one day when the kids are older. At least that's what I keep telling myself. Gotta stay posititve.

I had a taste-test tonight... French Fries. Yummo. :) Guess where the test was??? Hun, HUn? Any guesses?

Yep!

MOA.

Mall of America for those not familiar.

I went and got my shop on at the Nordstrom 1/2 yearly sale. Then I headed to Hanna Anderson to look for some fall clothes for Tink. Not too happy with their selection this year.

Got a strawberry rhubarb crisp into the oven (rhubarb is NUTSO in my garden) and it smells soooooooo yummy!

MEL:banana:

Oh and I wanted to say the strawberry rhubarb crisp sounds sooooooo good! Brings me back to my childhood when my grandparents lived on a farm and grew rhubarb. Almost every time we'd go out there in the summer my grandmother would have a pie or crisp made. Yummy!

Hey, guys, read this page only, so someone PM me if I'm missing something big. :thumbsup2

Lori?

Katt?

Mel? :rotfl: Sorry, but how you go somewhere with one kid and wind up with 4 makes me laugh. :goodvibes

Jen? It will work out.

We've been busy. Went to the zoo Tuesday afternoon and then out for fabulous Indian food.

Yesterday was a relaxed morning and the late afternoon evening with college friends who live in Chicago, the city, but in a northwestern neighborhoody area. They have a one-year-old girl who is a DOLL.

Today we went to the beach on Lake Michigan with D's oldest friend's wife and 3 kids - their DD is just 3 months older than the boys and the boys talk about her all the time, even though we'd not seen her for a year and a half. :lovestruc

Then I went downtown to Millenium Park and had dinner with 3 of my college roomies. :goodvibes I like them. And it was a chance to escape the IL's house.

I KNOW it could be worse, but she makes me tense and unhappy, so... No, she's not completely insane, like some MIL's of people I know. She certainly loves the kids. It is just exhausting. Sigh.

She got really passive/agressive angry that we took the boys to our friends' last night, and pulled a few things I wasn't thrilled with. Then today she asked if we could have "just a quiet dinner with you four and BIL" and I said that I didn't know - I wasn't going to be here. It's just again that she has a ton of other family in town, and it makes me uncomfortable to be so "preferred" because I think of how the others must feel.

Oh well.

2 more days. :rolleyes1

We're off to WI tomorrow for the family weekend, but that hotel has wireless, so I'll try to check in!

Oh well...reality will be hitting them hard having to spend two weeks with the kids and then when they get done with their little month long vacation and have to go back to living in the real world. Can I just LMAO when that happens and throw it back in his face? Or would that be too immature???

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. I really don't think I could handle a divorce and custody and such. I'm sure I wouldn't be able to hold my tongue and may hurt the ex. It runs in my family. My Aunt broke a bottle over the head of another Aunt's (her sister) ex one time during an arguement...

It's more than a gated community, it's more like a gated city. Creepy.

I don't watch those shows but that is really really creepy. Sounds kind of like a religious compound. All bow down to the mighty dollar!

That sounds like a good idea.

But to make matters even more complicated...we aren't even divroced yet. No papers have been signed, just served to him, because he refuses to sign them. Yet, he's engaged.

That makes no sense!

We now return you to your "Focker Line of Thought" Already in Progress[/COLOR]

Wow, that's a lot of information to process. I'm just glad you haven't mentioned it to the kids and can decide whether or not to go as often as you like. ;)

DUDE. That's what we're doing ALL THE TIME here....
sit down on my couch.

You're right. It will. The kids will know that you are the one who cared for them and kept them safe!

NO WAY!!!

Oh yes, honey. Welcome to my world.

WOW! That is really nice. But, maybe this next interview WILL be the ONE!:thumbsup2

It better be. Because I can't keep hangin out here like a losah!

I'm all for it! You know I do think that they have airfare specials here,,,just for the MOA!

:lmao: Do they really? Well, those airfares better be really special. Because after I start paying for my Christmas airfare I'll be broke for the next 5 years.

Oh Goodness, I do not. Nor does my DH or children. BUT I do have some aunts and uncles that fursur hav it. Yous people would laugh!
Does it have a potty and air conditioning? You get to stay home ALONE! My my, what will you do with yourself? Update that there TR of yours?:rolleyes1

OK that was a lot of pages.... what did I miss????

We went to see the fam today, fairly uneventful. I have pics. I'll post tomorrow i'm too tired now, I'm off to bed to watch some tv and pass out!!!

I GOT BOTOXED!!! WANNA SEE????

botox.jpg

Thought I'd show ya'll where I'm living now.

Looked nice to me?? Are there a lot of those types of towns out there??:confused3

Why don't you all come here to MN...we can got to the MOA (Mall of America), I can show you a good time! Any takers? boo hoo no one likes MinneSota.

So today was Botox Party Day!!

botox.jpg

I'm runnin' out of clean panties here!:headache:

Thats it Girls! We have enough of you who want to shop at the MOA. We can have a GIRLS WEEKEND! Janet the Mall of America DOES have a QVC store! :thumbsup2 So did you all know that we also DO NOT HAVE TAX on clothing. Nope! None! The tax our property up the ying-yang instead!

Yeah, let's do it!

Soooo...you're in Minnesota. Do you ever say: "Ya sure...you betcha?"

My step-father is from Minnesota...and his accent comes out at the funniest times.

DH and I heard this phrase when we vacationed in WI a few years ago. :rotfl:

Parla & Jodi - You picked an excellent day to go to the zoo. The weather was fantastic! I liked the pics!

Carrie - Charley is adorable.

HomeSMom - Glad to hear you are doing fine. The TV stuff looked bad!

...whilst I took BA to the hairdresser, the pup chewed hunks out of my new coffee table AND chewed the cord off my iron. ....
TE was this you, I lost track of the dogs on here. When my Min. Pin. had a fetish for the underside drawer on my walnut coffee table, I mixed some cayenne pepper with some canola oil and rubbed that on it. Let's just say he's not a chihuahua and didn't care for the heat. The only problem is it will stain anything that is light in color. They do have sour apple sprays you can use. I've heard mixed reviews on how well they work.

Embarrassing Moment!!!!
Wednesday before I had to go to work, I decided to stop by my favorite 'low-rent' store, Walmart. I had to use the potty. I proceeded to walk right into the MEN'S restroom. When I came around that corner, I looked up and my brain slowly interpreted what my eyes were seeing. URINALS - UGH! Luckily for me there was only one man in there and he had a good sense of humor and his pants up!:rolleyes1 He looked at me and said, 'Should I scream or are you going to?':lmao: I put both hands on my face like Caulkin in 'Home Alone', only I didn't scream. Here's the kicker! In my defense, when I was walking to the potties, I saw a "man" come out of the ladies room. That's why I went to the other side. Obviously this person was named 'Pat'. I couldn't find them later to ask. Lessons of the story - don't judge a book by it's cover and the Men's room was actually very clean.

Good Morning! I'm 1st this am! :cool1: I'm up at the crack of dawn because I need to take my "brother" to his college to get all of his paper work in order for his semester abroad in Chile. A Rep. from the Chilean consulate is flying into MN and heading to his college today so that the large group of college students can get their visa's. They are also planning on giving all of us "parents" a seminar of what the students will be doing during their semester. I will try to check in later today, if I can!

Carry on girlfriends. Carry on.

Have a super day!

++++++++++++++++

Jen- Good luck today! I will be thinking of you!

Kristel- Everyone has to have this experience at least once in their life! I understand how you could have really thought that you were heading into the girlies room. Good thing Mr. Mens room had his pants up and a great sense of humor. :-)
