I wind up with enough delicates for two small loads every other week between work clothes, undergarments and swimsuits. I'm allergic to drycleaning chems, so I wash everything I possibly can, often even if it says to dry clean!

FYI, acetate is NOT washable. Trust V. :headache:

Ouch. :headache:

I think lack of work clothes is one reason I'm just not that picky. I mean, t-shirts and jeans are just that, you know? ;)

It's chucking down here too Jo. ;)
It's still chucking it down here, how about there? And I ached so much after playing the Wii for the first time :rotfl2:

Hello Gang... Sooo NOBODY MISSED ME. :snooty:
I missed you Katt

Nice Trophy Jo. I assume you are sending it to me:woohoo:
Well as it's solid silver and needs to go back to the club tomorrow I'm afraid not :rotfl2:

"Glitter" when "Tinkerbell" comes .....she always leaves behind "Pixie Dust". The EXTRA EXTRA FINE Glitter that you can get at craft stores.
And sometimes she just "pops by" to check on Sara... leaves a note and "Pixie Dust".
We do lots of that too, Jessica's fairy is Tinkerbell (she was mine too) and Ellie's is Sugar Plum. Jess knows but still believes in Father Christmas (she's almost 12) Ellie believes in both and she's just 10 :goodvibes

My baby is at 4-H camp this week--I'm not as worried about her as I was last year, but I still miss her!
Sorry TE but what's 4-H?

I've decided I need to start budgeting annually for all things WDW trip-related and STICK to the budget. All of this in preparation for Gramma's departure once I'm done with school. Wishrecession there too? me luck! :rotfl:
Have you got all doom and gloom about

That is what I give. I never understood the tooth fairy in the first place let alone her loose financial morals. I mean really, what is the possible resale value on all these teeth ..
:rotfl2:

I have the same issue. It's obvious that I need to lose about 10 pounds, but no one believes what the 10 pounds would take me to. Not that it's a horrible thing, but...
Don't be silly

So, no golf?
Not today but I'm playing tomorrow and Friday both in competitions :rotfl2:

I know I shouldn't try to catch up so much but I'm so afraid I will miss something!
I'm like that too :rotfl2:

Sorry for the long post. It would appear that I don't know how to make short but sweet replies.
Join the club :rotfl2:

When did I turn into my mother? When? Did you guys see when it happened? :confused3
Yep it was a few weeks ago ;) :rotfl2:

Might be having lunch with Pants today, he said he will come save my boredom for a while.
Have fun :goodvibes

So, I bribed them into giving me $30 to shut me up.
Oh Cheri :rotfl2:

We're not doing too much today. We are on Potty Training Day 3 today and I swear this kid is NEVER going to get the whole poop in the potty thing. I want to have DR trained by the time his father comes at the end of July. That'll be a fun thing for daddy to deal with. :rolleyes1
I think Daddy would love to help :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

O.k. ladies let us discus laundry, or rather my obsessive way of sorting it. I sort into the following piles:
darks
brights
lights
whites
this would seem normal, right? I then however take it a few steps further making me off my rocker...

I have for whites:
whites these do not get bleached because they may have a little bit of color that I do not want to fade.
white whites now these do get bleached.

I have for darks and lights:
greys these items are separate as they can go with either to make a full load.

I have for darks:
jeans that are heavy and I do not want them with shirts or other lighter weight cloths.

We won't even go into what happens when I have to wash rugs or sheets. It is not a pretty sight :scared1:.
OMG :faint:

I am here to help you feel better about YOUR SORTING...
OMG Katt  and what are tended clothes????

My laundry is sorted.........

Lights
Darks
Bedding :rotfl2:

OK I just had a bit of a paddy at school, it was open afternoon and whilst I was there I heard that all the tickets to a show on Friday were gone. Ellie is in a small show with 1 performance and normally I'm excellent at returning forms but what with the whole IL thing and the house being in turmoil with the windows I hadn't done it yet. So I asked the teacher and she said yep they'd all gone speak to the secretary, which I did. I know her quite well and we laughed and joked but she knew I was cross, I then spoke to the teacher again and even threatened to pull Ellie out, well if we can't watch her what's the point in her doing it, yes slight over reaction to which she replied that the whole show would have to be cancelled, err yeah right!!!!!

So after all the running around to trampolining etc the Head Mistress phones to sort it out, she's doing everything she can because I'm normally such a nice parent, I did explain it had been a stressful week and that was the final straw. She's so lovely and we laughed and joked too, I seem to do a lot of that :rotfl2:

Anyway hopefully we will get tickets, TBH I think that if your kid is in the show you should automatically be allowed at least 1 ticket!

What is this 'do laundry':laundy: thing of which you speak?

My DH does the most of ours!

and I'm pretty sure his biggest sort is white or non-white. KISS, yes?:rotfl:

I forgot about the hidden mickey I found the other night at the bar.... I first saw it to the side with just the 2 ears coming out of the main part, KC saw it as a mickey face...whatcha think???

I agree with you Kat, mot a profile Mickey ::yes::

OMG Janet I so missed that one

So did CE, or she is ignoring me:rolleyes1

So how was it? Was it bad enough to pull all your teeth out?

Actually it was interesting, although they didnt like my idea of castration;) :lmao:

Well it's chucking it down again, luckily they're just doing the doors today, although the glass to go in the front door is wrong so that will have to be fixed in a few weeks.

It rained off and on here all day!

Hello Gang... Sooo NOBODY MISSED ME.

If you had gone back to read you would notice that your Deputy asked where you were :snooty:

Good morning!

Congrats on the golf win Jo!!

My baby is at 4-H camp this week--I'm not as worried about her as I was last year, but I still miss her!
Bear only got up once last nite!
And I've been busy working too.

Like Mo, I tried to skim, but it's been over 10 pages!
So what's up chatty Fockers??

..........dang pup got my bedroom shoe......again

HI TE, Bear is a chewer huh? Tink still chews EVERYTHING :sad2:

It was pretty good! Nope, I haven't mentioned Janet's mom yet - it'll be in an upcoming TR installment!

:rolleyes1

I'm afraid to ask, but who the heck is Lisa Lampinelli?!

Oh Good, I thought i was the only one:rotfl:

I'm also in full-on budget mode. I've got the next 4 months worked out, now I need to develop a long-range WDW budget. I've decided I need to start budgeting annually for all things WDW trip-related and STICK to the budget. All of this in preparation for Gramma's departure once I'm done with school. Wish me luck!

When will you be done V?

Hope your seminar is not too boring. :)

Not too bad. See the response to Jo above:thumbsup2

When did I turn into my mother? When? Did you guys see when it happened? :confused3

MEL

Didn't notice it Mel, sorry;)

Apparently I'm the only vulgar Focker in this room. :rolleyes1 Lisa Lampinelli is the most VULGAR comedian on Comedy Central. She makes Kathy Griffin look like Mother Theresa. What can I say.... I like dirty comedy. :confused3

I had no clue either:confused:

If anyone really needs a Wii I can def get one (for a bit cheaper than retail) and mail it to you, just let me know! I have connects! ;)

I know Jim would probably like one, but I don't want Jimmy getting into the video games too much yet. He has V Smile and he is quite content with that for now so I am not going to push it>:thumbsup2

When I was a kid my parents accidentally pulled a $20 out of their wallets for one of my sister's teeth. She found it and was SO excited! And me...well, being 6 years older, I already knew what was up. So, I bribed them into giving me $30 to shut me up.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I am here to help you feel better about YOUR SORTING...

Katt, this just scares me:scared:

Wow. Mine's not very complicated...

Dark-ish
Light-ish
Sheets & towels
Light-ish delicates
Dark-ish delicates

Fuzzy Laundry Sorting?! :rotfl:

I like this. Simple and easy ::yes::

Anyway hopefully we will get tickets, TBH I think that if your kid is in the show you should automatically be allowed at least 1 ticket!

Wow, parents and siblings should get first priority and then if there any tickets left they can move onto other family and friends. JMO. That's what they do here for alot of graduations because space is usually limited.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Fockers. I am back from the training I went to today. It was called Advanced Sex Offender Supervision. Very interesting. As I mentioned to Jo I had several ideas for stopping sex offenders, but nobody seemd to agree with me (castration got a resounding NO!:confused3 )

Jim, Jimmy and his friend Mat are ourside flying airplanes and I have a few minutes to catch up. Thanks for only chatting for 4 pages today. I appreciate it...it didn't take me long to catch up!:thumbsup2

I just got done dealing with a blowout of the century...

We had ballet and then a playdate (who is still here). The boys are on the main computer, which holds the pictures of which I am wanting to upload to show all of you... bummer. Maybe tonight, after baseball. :confused3 Tink ballet'd herself silly! She got home and demanded that I wash the floor so she could ballet herself some more (my hardwood floors were BEYOND dirty). After she ballet'd herself some more (on a clean floor), it was time for nap. This was not her idea of how she thought she should spend the afternoon. Before I knew what hit me, I had a full blown out TINK FIT on my hands. I mean the kind of TINK fit, one doesn't hear often. The kind that I think the devil is inside of my child. She was screaming I HATE YOU MOMMY! at the tippy top of her little lungs. :confused3

Deep breath

breathe

now, I need to go and read up on everything. Be back.

JO: That had me :lmao: about the "we'll just pull her out..." ha! You must have sounded FIERCE!

Janet: I like your castration idea. :confused3

Katt: I missed you too. Been in my own little world over here.

Ok, you guys posted over a page of laundry tips. I don't want to be a kill-joy but uh.....can't we discuss something better than that? Just saying...

I barely separate my clothes. My DH is way way pickier about the laundry than I am. I bought a pair of shorts that need ironing and they sit on the railing till my DH takes pity on me and does them when he does his shirts. :lovestruc I'm going with Mitch Hedberg on this one:

"This shirt is Dry Clean only. Which means it's......DIRTY."

MEL:banana:

It's still chucking it down here, how about there? And I ached so much after playing the Wii for the first time :rotfl2:

Nope, we are nice and sunny now. It was all rain and gloom for most of the day though.

Jo - :lmao: Laughing at your story, very frustrating to find out that tickets are all sold out for an event your own kid is in.

Ouch. :headache:

I think lack of work clothes is one reason I'm just not that picky. I mean, t-shirts and jeans are just that, you know? ;)

I wish I could wear jeans to work. I  jeans!

OK I just had a bit of a paddy at school, it was open afternoon and whilst I was there I heard that all the tickets to a show on Friday were gone. forgive me but what's a paddy? an argument?

I agree with you on that last statement!

with the talk of Dry cleaning, I'm reminded of a quote by Jerry Seinfeld (so I just had to go look up the whole thing)

Let’s get one thing straight about dry cleaning right now. It doesn’t exist. There’s no such thing as dry cleaning. There’s no way of cleaning with dry. Dry itself is nothing. You can’t use it. You can’t do anything with it. It’s not there. Dry is nothing. Are you listening to me? And we walk into these places with the big signs out front, “Dry Cleaning,” and somehow never question how they were able to put this absurd concept over on us.
If I gave you a filthy shirt and said, “I want this immaculate. And no liquids!” what are you going to do? Shake it? Tap it? Blow on it? Give me a break. You almost can’t get something dirty with dry, let alone cleaning it.

:rotfl:

Howdy Fockers

Laundry - sheets and towels each week, seperately, lights and darks when there is enough to do a full load, since it is just me it's every few weeks:)

T - I know who Lisa Lampinelli is, does that make me cool? Remind me at Fockerfest, I got a joke for you...

So I had my talk with the VP today and boy was he ready, I got the impression he was just waiting for me to reach out to him. He is ticked off and shared quite a bit with me. Remember I asked her to take 1 or 2 clients and she didn't, well now she is getting a whole bunch and I get to pick which ones.:thumbsup2 WHile talking we both realized she has been lying and now we both know it. Later this afternoon the VP paid witchy poo a visit and she didn't look to happy afterwards:lmao:

Let this be a lesson to those that mess with a Focker:stir:

I

Sorry TE but what's 4-H?
It's a school and community based club offered in most parts of rural America. I was really into it--went on a lot of trips as a teen (Maine, Grand canyon...) and BA really enjoys it too. Each year they have a camp for 9-14 year olds and she loves it! Rope climbing, swimming, animals, etc. She is taking Reporting (makes a podcast of the camp week), Archery, and Survivor Training as her "classes".

HI TE, Bear is a chewer huh? Tink still chews EVERYTHING :sad2:

:r
Yep---I have to run around spraying BItter Apple and giving him chew-bones! Ab wanted to know if having a baby is this hard! I assured her it was much worse (and hopefully that will delay it for 10 years or so!)

...dang it.....he's got the computer cord,

Awesome Mo. Maybe she will get the hint that she actually has to do some work now:confused3 ...Uh, yeah never mind :lmao:

Sorry, I responded to somebody about it. :confused3 I had a nice evening. :rotfl:

But you didn't tell her what it stands for! Heart, home, health and hands (in what order I don't know) - right?

OK, so I went to a university with one of the largest Greek systems in the country. But it's also a huge agricultural school. So one day, poor little freshman me sees a girl wearing a sorority type sweatshirt (at the time, it was a nice plain sweatshirt with the Greek letters in things like paisley patterns) that said, "HHHH" and I'm sitting there thinking, "What's Eta Eta Eta Eta?" :rotfl2: Yeah, there was a 4-H House. And I did know that. I'm a farm girl, after all.

I belonged to FFA instead. :rotfl2:

All the Wii talk was cracking me up! Remember KC worked for the retail store in NYC. They always say they are sold out but they actually allot a certain amount of each thing (Wii or Wii Fit) per day to sell so they dont run out. They never tell you that tho!

If anyone really needs a Wii I can def get one (for a bit cheaper than retail) and mail it to you, just let me know! I have connects! ;)

That's great. I really want to try to get it locally just in case something is wrong with it. Not that they would be able to exchange it but they could at least take it back with very little hassle. I'll let you know come mid-December though. ;)

Just a warning, it could take up to about 3 weeks(maybe a bit more) for the Wii. They come from corporate in WA so it takes a bit sometimes. So plan accordingly! :)

OK, maybe not. :rotfl:

In case anyone's bored this morning. I am off to shower and pick up DS.

MEL:banana:

That was cute.

O.k. ladies let us discus laundry, or rather my obsessive way of sorting it. I sort into the following piles:

If you're not normal, I don't know what I am. I have about twelve laundry baskets and I sort out my piles (yes I use all twelve) and then stack them up in the order I'm going to do them. It usually takes two or three days to get through them all because I hang up so many clothes (all of which go into separate baskets than clothes that go in the dryer) and run out of room to hang them.

Oh.. why do I seperate The "Tended" clothes from the others..?? I know that every thing HAS to be hung up this way. If I throw them all in together... then something Might get wrinkled while I am trying to find something I can just THROW IN THE BASKET. ( Trying to eliminate thinking here people)
Either its Throw and Go.. or Hang.

Amen!

Is this show during school hours or after hours? If it's after hours I would absolutely say that I would pull my kid out if I didn't have tickets. Each child should be given at least two tickets before any others are given out.

I just got done dealing with a blowout of the century...

I hate it when the little princess starts screaming things like I hate you. I always answer back, "But, I love you!" That really makes her mad. :rotfl: I heard my sister actually answer back, "I hate you too!" to my niece one day and it was all I could do not to punch her. I just commented on how I can't believe she said that to her child. I'm not saying I've never wanted to say it back  but I really don't think that teaches a four year old anything good.

TInk LIKED the taste of bitter apple :sad2: :

Really? Did you spray it directly in her mouth first? The dog trainer at our dog's obedience school said to first spray it directly in their mouth. It's so strong and bitter that the thought of eating it again is usally enough to make them avoid the scent.

=======================================

So, we ran a ton of errands today. One of which included a stop at Toys R Us. I had DH meet us their on his lunch break and take the kids (after DD had picked out her backpack and free lunch bag for Kindergarten) then I headed over and got a Crayola double sided easel that was on sale. DD has been pretending to use other things as an easel the last week and quite frankly I was afraid of her spilling stuff everywhere. I thought of saving it for Christmas but decided to go ahead and get it out. I should have videotaped her reaction. She was so happy and excited to have a real easel.

We also stopped at AAA and reserved rooms at the Hampton Inn in Downtown Chicago for next Spring Break. I really gotta figure out a schedule for the week but I'm not sure where to go. Is there a place with as much info about Chicago as the Disboards has about Disney? We want to do the AG store, Lego Store (the boys will probably do that while the girls are having tea with dolls; it's just me, dh, ds and dd), Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium, Museum of Science and Industry and even the Zoo if we can fit it in. That seems like too much for a week.

How come sometimes my spellcheck button is missing? Does that happen to anyone else?

Sorry, I responded to somebody about it. :confused3 I had a nice evening. :rotfl:

I'm SURE you did;) :lmao:

Is it red, yellow and blue plastic? Jimmy has the same easel and LOVE it. Right now he is very into crafts. painting, and writing his name:thumbsup2 HE got his for his 3rd birthday and it was so worth the $$ we paid for it!:cool1:

Parla: Ok, spent alot of time in Chicago, so I feel confident saying this...
You have WAY too much for a week there. I recommend cancelling the Museum of Science and Industry since you really need TWO days for that. Insert the Children's Museum on Navy Pier instead. Your kids will LOVE LOVE LOVE it! They are the perfect ages. There are great places to eat there and IMAX films (if you like those) and a HUGE ferris wheel to ride outside.

Trust me on this one.
