All the Wii talk was cracking me up! Remember KC worked for the retail store in NYC. They always say they are sold out but they actually allot a certain amount of each thing (Wii or Wii Fit) per day to sell so they dont run out. They never tell you that tho!
If anyone really needs a Wii I can def get one (for a bit cheaper than retail) and mail it to you, just let me know! I have connects!
That's great. I really want to try to get it locally just in case something is wrong with it. Not that they would be able to exchange it but they could at least take it back with very little hassle. I'll let you know come mid-December though.
Just a warning, it could take up to about 3 weeks(maybe a bit more) for the Wii. They come from corporate in WA so it takes a bit sometimes. So plan accordingly!
OK, maybe not.

In case anyone's bored this morning. I am off to shower and pick up DS.
MEL
That was cute.
O.k. ladies let us discus laundry, or rather my obsessive way of sorting it. I sort into the following piles:
darks
brights
lights
whites
this would seem normal, right? I then however take it a few steps further making me off my rocker...
I have for whites:
whites these do not get bleached because they may have a little bit of color that I do not want to fade.
white whites now these do get bleached.
I have for darks and lights:
greys these items are separate as they can go with either to make a full load.
I have for darks:
jeans that are heavy and I do not want them with shirts or other lighter weight cloths.
We won't even go into what happens when I have to wash rugs or sheets. It is not a pretty sight

.
If you're not normal, I don't know what I am. I have about twelve laundry baskets and I sort out my piles (yes I use all twelve) and then stack them up in the order I'm going to do them. It usually takes two or three days to get through them all because I hang up so many clothes (all of which go into separate baskets than clothes that go in the dryer) and run out of room to hang them.
Oh.. why do I seperate The "Tended" clothes from the others..?? I know that every thing HAS to be hung up this way. If I throw them all in together... then something Might get wrinkled while I am trying to find something I can just THROW IN THE BASKET. ( Trying to eliminate thinking here people)
Either its Throw and Go.. or Hang.
Amen!
OK I just had a bit of a paddy at school, it was open afternoon and whilst I was there I heard that all the tickets to a show on Friday were gone. Ellie is in a small show with 1 performance and normally I'm excellent at returning forms but what with the whole IL thing and the house being in turmoil with the windows I hadn't done it yet. So I asked the teacher and she said yep they'd all gone speak to the secretary, which I did. I know her quite well and we laughed and joked but she knew I was cross, I then spoke to the teacher again and even threatened to pull Ellie out, well if we can't watch her what's the point in her doing it, yes slight over reaction to which she replied that the whole show would have to be cancelled, err yeah right!!!!!
So after all the running around to trampolining etc the Head Mistress phones to sort it out, she's doing everything she can because I'm normally such a nice parent, I did explain it had been a stressful week and that was the final straw. She's so lovely and we laughed and joked too, I seem to do a lot of that
Anyway hopefully we will get tickets, TBH I think that if your kid is in the show you should automatically be allowed at least 1 ticket!
Is this show during school hours or after hours? If it's after hours I would absolutely say that I would pull my kid out if I didn't have tickets. Each child should be given at least two tickets before any others are given out.
I just got done dealing with a blowout of the century...
We had ballet and then a playdate (who is still here). The boys are on the main computer, which holds the pictures of which I am wanting to upload to show all of you... bummer. Maybe tonight, after baseball.

Tink ballet'd herself silly! She got home and demanded that I wash the floor so she could ballet herself some more (my hardwood floors were BEYOND dirty). After she ballet'd herself some more (on a clean floor), it was time for nap. This was not her idea of how she thought she should spend the afternoon. Before I knew what hit me, I had a full blown out TINK FIT on my hands. I mean the kind of TINK fit, one doesn't hear often. The kind that I think the devil is inside of my child. She was screaming I HATE YOU MOMMY! at the tippy top of her little lungs.
I hate it when the little princess starts screaming things like I hate you. I always answer back, "But, I love you!" That really makes her mad.

I heard my sister actually answer back, "I hate you too!" to my niece one day and it was all I could do not to punch her. I just commented on how I can't believe she said that to her child. I'm not saying I've never wanted to say it back

but I really don't think that teaches a four year old anything good.
TInk LIKED the taste of bitter apple

Really? Did you spray it directly in her mouth first? The dog trainer at our dog's obedience school said to first spray it directly in their mouth. It's so strong and bitter that the thought of eating it again is usally enough to make them avoid the scent.
=======================================
So, we ran a ton of errands today. One of which included a stop at Toys R Us. I had DH meet us their on his lunch break and take the kids (after DD had picked out her backpack and free lunch bag for Kindergarten) then I headed over and got a Crayola double sided easel that was on sale. DD has been pretending to use other things as an easel the last week and quite frankly I was afraid of her spilling stuff everywhere. I thought of saving it for Christmas but decided to go ahead and get it out. I should have videotaped her reaction. She was so happy and excited to have a real easel.
We also stopped at
AAA and reserved rooms at the Hampton Inn in Downtown Chicago for next Spring Break. I really gotta figure out a schedule for the week but I'm not sure where to go. Is there a place with as much info about Chicago as the Disboards has about Disney? We want to do the AG store,
Lego Store (the boys will probably do that while the girls are having tea with dolls; it's just me, dh, ds and dd), Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium, Museum of Science and Industry and even the Zoo if we can fit it in. That seems like too much for a week.
How come sometimes my spellcheck button is missing? Does that happen to anyone else?
