Thanks so much everyone for the birthday wishes!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

So far it says cloudy and 30% chance of rain...I'll be bringing my umbrella to the city with me just in case....it figures it may rain on the day I finally get a hair cut! :confused3 :lmao:

I'm off to the hair cut and city...I'll see you all tomorrow!

Have fun!:cool1:

Oh, ok. DH works in Torrance. I'm going to say you're happy that they're not going? :lmao:

Sorry to hear that - but if you need to vent, we're a very supportive group of peeps here. :grouphug:

Thanks. Yes, very excited they are not going! 10 days without my babies!!! :faint: But, it would be a good dose of reality for dad and the 21 year old fiance'. :thumbsup2

We got the pup today!!!!! He's so-o-o cute---about 11 pounds of roly-poly pup! His name is Bear. BA is holding him now--we have hardly put him down. Max likes him a lot, but Isabella the cat is hissing and keeping her distance. I'll post some pix tomorrow.

Awwwwwww...can't wait to see pics!

We cleaned out KC's closet and got rid of a lot of carp so i am really happy there! I also found some stuff of mine that ended up in his closet! Now I am going to DIS for a while and relax cause tomorrow's my birthday! :woohoo:

Night all!

Woohoo for the closet clean and finding lost items! And

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Good Morning All! Hope everyone had a great weekend. I have a little sunburn from being at Lake Michigan all day. The yard sale brought in $438.40.

Awesome on the yard sale and sounds like a great day at the lake!

I'VE BEEN ON THE PHONE FOR 45 MINUTES BOOKING...my Candlelight Processional Package. :headache: But I got it!:cool1:

Yay on the CP Package! When are you going? We are going in December as well from 12/7-13. I don't think we're going to do the CP though. I'll have to stop by your PTR and say hi.

Hey, I know you! Absolutely - welcome aboard Lori! :yay:

Thanks V! :)

Vent whenever you need to - it's a great place for it! I went through divorce-hell, too, so I feel your pain. Hang in there!

And the rainrainrain came downdowndown...

ALL stupid weekend it rained. Being stuck inside the house with Gramma and Leo wasn't the most fun I've had in my life! :rotfl: Leo and I did manage to swim for a couple hours yesterday afternoon, thank goodness. Back to work today - and my Word was corrupted, so that was a fun start to the week. The fun continues with a dental appt. at 11. Hold me back people - I can barely contain my excitement! :rotfl2:

Thanks again! I always try to think positive of a situation and I can't even think of one nice thing to say in this divorce except for...well, hmmmm...that I'm getting rid of him.

And oh no on the rainy weekend and bad morning! Just think it can only get better from here...right?

**************************************

Not much planned for us today. My sitter called this morning and might take the kids off my hands later this afternoon. :yay: She wanted to take them to see Kung Fu Panda but I beat her to it and took them last week. I don't care what she does with them just get them out of my hair for a few hour. I love them to pieces but I defiantely wonder why at times.

Just stopping in to ask if anyone would be interested in transferring 25 points for $10/point into my dvc account? If so, please PM me.

I love pupies!!!!!!!
You are having dinner with 50 strange people, not 50 strangers.

LOL, FWIW, I can be normal if a really try hard.;)

Morning

T, too funny :rotfl2: My question is, who's met Kevin Bacon

Um, I had breakfast with Al Roker, well he was at the next table at the BC concierge lounge... I'm sure he has interviewed Kevin or his wife at some point.

Call aruond to some charities, they love to take furniture.

And nice $$$ on the garage sale.:thumbsup2
I'll make sure David doesn't read that :rotfl2:

What? there was no mention of axes?

the nonbrit said:
Even I with my English stiff upper lip couldn't help hugging T when we met :

I anticipate lots of hugs in August, better warn David.:lmao:

David and I have just been on a 6 mile walk all around the fields and woods near us, it was beautiful, it only took 1.75 hours too, we're speed walkers :
You getting ready to walk to SSR from Downtown again:lmao:

Well, since I've only been up for about 2 hours, nothing exciting happening here yet. ;)
We woke up before the alarm to huge thunder and rainstorms. Thankfully by the time it was time to go stand outside and wait for the bus, we'd hit a lull. It's clouding up again now and is supposed to rain on and off all day today and tomorrow. :(

Wednesday looks good for our first day of "summer" though! :thumbsup2

D flies today, but not until the afternoon, so... I don't know if he'll leave before we get the boys from school or not.

The boys have their last tennis lesson of the session this afternoon. I can't decide what to do with that - they want to keep up with tennis, but for summer it's an 8 week session and I think we'd miss four weeks. I don't think they'll pro-rate it, but I guess I'll ask today. :confused3 I also want to call and get another lesson for me & D for Friday. :thumbsup2

That's about it. I'll be back later!

I quoted you because it seems like forver since I have "talked" to you:(

I know - I'm so sad. First Time Russert, now my guy George - sad, sad, sad. :(

I here ya, both of these were shocks, though I guess Carlin has been sick, but man was he funny!

Hmmm... well Waldo did lunch with Gene Simmons once, so there's got to be a connection there somewhere... :scratchin

T - you can't just type that and not give us details!!!!!!

Miz - sorry but I got a chuckle out of this, what Focker will have extra points:lmao: , I think we have all borrowed from the next year. I know I was 5 points short for Feb and how to borrow from 2009.

Good luck finding your points:hug:

Miz Diz, I wish I had an acct to borrow from. ::yes:: My guess is that if I did, there wouldn't be anything left to lend out though. :rotfl2:

V- Did the rain help the heat settle at all? Good thing you got at least a little break from Gram and hit the pool. Hope the dentist is not too brutal on you!

Kat- Happy Haircut to you too!

Where's your sun gone??? So the boys finish school on Wednesday??? What do you have planned for the weeks and weeks and weeks of holiday?

I don't know. :( Oh, well. The boys actually finish tomorrow, so Wed. is our first free day.

We actually only have 3 full weeks at home, not counting next week with the holiday. :faint: Next week ends with the 4th, so we're not doing any camps, etc. We're home the next two weeks, but then head to our Illinois/Wisconsin/Illinois/Missouri trip for seeing family, family reunion and wedding on 7/19. We'll probably not get back until 8/5 or 6 - D is flying home after the Wisconsin portion, so if we aren't worried about his vacation days... Mom will probably drive back with me, so I'm not sure when we'll leave to come home.

Anyway, then we're home for another full week starting the 11th, but then on the following Wed. I believe I have a date in FL to get to.

At any rate, there's only the 3 weeks that we're home in full for any activities. So I think we'll do one week of camp, then hope to have playdates and so forth. :confused3 I can't believe that that's my summer. Done and done. :rotfl:

I'm sorry. Try to get hold of yourself - you're way too wound up! :rotfl2:

Good Morning all, I'm off to Botox Barbieville,

Hi! Hope you're having a great day!

I am still lost here but I like to pop in,especially on days like today when I have computer time.Today we aren't going to the pool because Peyton has a ballgame tonight. The pool sucks all his energy.I am going to clean the house and start getting stuff together for our beach trip.

Hi Amy!

I'm off to the hair cut and city...I'll see you all tomorrow!

Pictures, please!

Just stopping in to ask if anyone would be interested in transferring 25 points for $10/point into my dvc account? If so, please PM me.
I'll get right on it. Oh, except that I don't have DVC. Rats. :lmao: How are you, Mary?

That was funny. I knew immediately that a kid had been typing. :) Congrats on your Candlelight score!

We started Day 3 by making a mad rush to "rope drop" at the Eiffel Tower. No time for coffee, people, we have to get moving.

We made it in good time, and J & J2 managed to get in line with us just before we hit the queue. :thumbsup2

It was not a pretty morning, sadly. It was cloudy, windy, and darn cold at the top of the tower. J is a gadget geek and had a thermometer on his pack. It read 38. Nice.

Here's one of the better pictures - the light was just too flat for most cityscapes. This is the Champs de Mars leading to the Ecole Militairie:
IMG_2223.jpg

Here's me in the cold, cold wind:
IMG_2233.jpg

After seeing our fill, we headed down to a different "red awning" cafe and had a little brunch. It was good! We then split up to take our various transporations to Montmarte and Sacre Coeur.

My aweseome guidebook had a walking tour of Montmarte, so really, I HAD to be reading it, to see where to go next:
IMG_2254.jpg

Oddly enough, we wound up seeing ALL of the 6 of us at the top of the hill - even G & R, whom we hadn't talked to all morning. ;)

Here's just a really nice flower picture of someone's garden:
IMG_2279.jpg

After Montmarte, we headed off to see the Louvre. I was on a mission - I had just 40 minutes there in 1996 and I love art museums. We hopped off the Metro at the Jardins de Luxembourg stop, and admired some more scenery. This is the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel - if you look hard down the middle of it, you can see the Obelisk and then the big Arc de Triomphe way down the way.
IMG_2305.jpg

We got into the Louvre - being a Friday, it was open late - and wandered a bit until J & J2 joined us.

I DID get to see a lot of art, but of course we had to get this one:
IMG_2331.jpg

and then I thought D did a good job framing and lighting the Winged Victory:
IMG_2337.jpg

We did a lot more wandering and finally left around 8:00. :faint: J & J2 decided to split after seeing Mona, so we were on our own.

We went back to the hotel and showered, then J & J2 decided to join us for dinner. G & R had gone to a place where, to quote G "We probably could have bought a Hyundai for the price of dinner," which was undoubtedly lovely, but not in our budget. ;) The guidebook had another restaurant nearby, but we couldn't get in on a Friday night - it was tiny. Smelled good, though. Oh well. We wound up finding a place near the place we'd eaten the previous night, and it was again fantastic. I had incredible salmon. :thumbsup2 Dinner didn't wind up until nearly midnight.

So after another lovely day, we went to sleep. Up next, Versailles.

This photograph is really nice.

So, how well do you speak French? I would be really intimidated at the thought of not speaking the language...and the idea of trying to order food!?!?!? Forget it.

It really looks like a beautiful city.

Jo- The girls can watch Camp Rock tonight. www . disney . com / camprock

I wonder if there is a way to set your computer to record it?

CE- I want to go back to Paris sooo bad! I love, love, love the report!

I'VE BEEN ON THE PHONE FOR 45 MINUTES BOOKING...my Candlelight Processional Package. :headache: But I got it!:cool1:
Yeah, which restaurant?

Jo- Are you getting ready for WDW with that walking?
:rotfl2: No we always go walking!

Well, my girls started VBS last night, so DH and I have mini date nights for the rest of the week!
What's VBS?

:faint: Colour me impressed!
:rotfl2: And you spelt colour right just for me, actually I've been meaning to ask, I see you and other fockers saying whilst alot now, have you ever written it in one of your essays? :rotfl2:

Leo and I did manage to swim for a couple hours yesterday afternoon, thank goodness.
Do you have your own pool? It sounds like we're having better weather than you :rotfl:

I just tried Jen and it said only available to US guests, so we can't see it

The girls and I went to the dentist today and we're all fine, he is a little worried about Jess as one of her canine teeth is still a baby one and isn't even wobbly so we've got to see the orthodontist, luckily it's all free for the girls :thumbsup2

I got Lecellier for the Candlelight Processional! :cool1: :cool1:

BOOHOOO...why can't others log on to see it? It is on the WWW for crying out loud!

Hey Jo! Just FYI, VBS is Vacation Bible School. It's put on by a lot of churches during the summer. It runs from 6-8:15pm and is for kids aged 3-5th grade! So, we get to drop them both off every night this week! Best thing... it's free and they have a great time!

Thanks. He told me this morning he slept "relatively good". Funny, he was in the bed with me and there was nothing "good" about it.

So, how well do you speak French? I would be really intimidated at the thought of not speaking the language...and the idea of trying to order food!?!?!? Forget it.
Know what's funny Kate? I spoke French the whole time I was in France and it mattered not one bit - everyone save an old couple we chatted with on the street spoke to me in English! And, even after 5 years of French, I needed a food dictionary to order; we just didn't spend a lot of time on food and drink in class.

:rotfl2: And you spelt colour right just for me
::yes:: I always prefer the Queen's English, but people over here look at me weird if I use it. ;)
actually I've been meaning to ask, I see you and other fockers saying whilst alot now, have you ever written it in one of your essays? :rotfl2:
OMG, I never told you?! I CONSTANTLY wind up with "whilst" in my writing now - both school and work! I have to make sure I look for it whilst proof-reading. I've been very tempted to just leave it in there, though. :pirate:
Do you have your own pool?
Better - I'm in a condo and the condo pool is down my stairs and 10 feet away... no maintenance, no repairs, I just show up and swim! :thumbsup2 And very few of my neighbors use it, so we usually have it to ourselves.

I guarantee I'd end up with some strange stuff placed in front of me if I tried to eat.

My big project for the weekend was editing photos on the computer. I had close to 1000 that hadn't been edited. In order to do my task, I also had to delete 875 photos. I am taking up too much room with the 8000 photos and several IMovies, on our computer. The computer is 6 years old and aging. My DH is trying to wait until Jan. to buy a new one, because Apple is apperantly coming out with better memory this or that :confused3 and faster (that I get).::yes::

So here is some of what we did this weekend (when I was not sitting on the computer ~ editing).

First Lil'l Diz had a ball game~
IMG_3940.jpg

Tink would rather eat her Candeeee, than watch~
IMG_3928.jpg

The kids played and played~
IMG_3786.jpg
IMG_3784.jpg

Then they did a bit of bike riding and Tink got all Tinkafied, because her bike got stuck in the grass and she couldn't get it out~
IMG_3875.jpg

Whilst we played, DH worked on the lawn~
IMG_3808.jpg

Sat. night we brought the kids to their first ever~
IMG_4005.jpg

Drive In Movie!
We saw Kung Fu panda & Iron Man (had to block the kids views a few times)
IMG_4010.jpg

Have you ever seen the movie guts? Now you have~

IMG_4011.jpg

Tink got slap happy around 10 and started bouncing all around the car. She hit the horn, hit the lights (several times) and turned the stereo on full blast and off too many times to count. Her last stunt almost laded her outside between our car and the car next to us. She was exploring ... rather eavesdropping on the neighboring car because they were speaking spanish. She climbed half way out of the car yelling, "Yous spechin Spanich. My Daddee and mine (insert big brothers name) speeek a spanich too. Uno, Dos... "

I was soo embarrassed!

Tink~ Minutes before she crashed.
IMG_4019.jpg

Big Bro Lil'l Diz refussed to look at the camera, because it was TOOO BRIGHT (insert wine).

Now I am all caught up on photo editing and loving it! Yippeee!:cool1:

Howdy friends!

Actually, Jo, I have found myself saying "whilst" in conversation lately---which results in strange looks from the other mountain folk!

The kids and I are watching the pup sleep---he sleeps hard then plays hard then eats.....poops........repeat!

Really enjoying him tho!:goodvibes

Neat pics CE! Is that the real Mona Lisa? Do they let u take a pic??

++++++++
Happy Birthday Kat!!! :cool1: :cool1:

What are you doing now??

I got Lecellier for the Candlelight Processional! :cool1: :cool1:

Thanks and every night and free, wow can't get much better than that :rotfl2:

::yes:: I always prefer the Queen's English, but people over here look at me weird if I use it. ;)
A friend of mine emigrated to San Diego a few years ago and she constantly has her work sent back due to English spellings and sayings :rotfl2:

OMG, I never told you?! I CONSTANTLY wind up with "whilst" in my writing now - both school and work! I have to make sure I look for it whilst proof-reading. I've been very tempted to just leave it in there, though. :pirate:.
Ooooh you should try it and see what they say, you never know I could start the whole of America saying whilst :rotfl2:

Better - I'm in a condo and the condo pool is down my stairs and 10 feet away... no maintenance, no repairs, I just show up and swim! :thumbsup2 And very few of my neighbors use it, so we usually have it to ourselves.
Sounds great especially the no maintenance or repairs :rotfl2:

I am taking up too much room with the 8000 photos and several IMovies, on our computer. The computer is 6 years old and aging.
Just a warning if your PC crashes it will take all your photos with it, please put them onto disc, we lost some, luckily not many, a few years ago!
