She did suggest that we go to couples therapy...she and I...to work on our relationship.

Ummm... Can't change people with therapy... unless they WANT to change. (I've learned that this past year with my "dad").

Maybe you should suggest SHE see's a therapist. I think she needs to have some deep discussions with herself about how words can hurt ones own children. Those very same children, who are needed to help care for her as she ages.

I have to watch Meeska's daughter at her house at 7:00 in the morning!

For those of you that don't remember...her daughter has a fever disorder and she periodically gets fever episodes...and she's having one right now. Tera can't take off from work. So, I'm watching Kaia in the morning while Tera busts her hump for some money.

So, I need to get off...and get to bed. Because I gotta wake up at 6. I haven't woken up that early in two months!

Lori- WAIT! What is this about maybe canceling???

Yeah the ******* isn't paying the correct amount in child support so it throws my whole budget off. So, instead of sacrificing school supplies, preschool deposit and tutuion, Kindy technology fees, books for me for school, tution for me for school, and other things the kids need I'm sacrificing the Disney trip.

I'll just have to see what happens on 8/1 when he's supposed to pay me the rest from 7/15 and then 8/1. If he pays the full amount (that will be a small miracle) then I'll keep on planning away but if he shorts me or pays me nothing than the trip is cancelled.

Plus, I think since he knows I'm taking the kids to Disney and is basically jealous of it, he wants to ruin my plans. So, I'm thinking that if I cancel now and plan for one in mid 2009 it'll be a suprise for the kids and to him. Kind of catch him off gaurd. That way I won't have to listen to him say that I'm misusing the child support.

And basically I don't know why he cares since it's not like he's the one here raising these kids and having to pay for all their expenses. For him, it's just a control issue. I just thank God each day that he's not my problem anymore and that he is someone else's.

Hi World Bouncer and welcome! I'm sort of a newbie around here as well but I'm Lori, part SAHM/part nursing student to my 2 kiddos, Lindsey (5) and DR (3). Just jump right in!

Jen! But I am soooooo glad to see that you are back home and getting settled back in. And glad Jon is doing good after his DQ incident. How scarey that must have been for you!! But glad they are taking care of things for you.

And I just want to thank you all for letting me vent some of my problems here. I went back and read some of the pages I missed and it's so nice to know that other people are going through the same things as I am (divorce, child support, visitation issues, death, cancer, family issues) and that you all are here to give support and an encouraging word.
