Hello All
So Martha is doing speedwork and I can't even run. I simply fail to see the justice in this state of nature. I did walk 3 miles on the treadmill Sunday, as I figure on the TM I can precisely control my pace, up and down, to work but not strain it. I can report a new 3 mile PR, and not the good kind. Today was a good lift and bike session, and tomorrow it's back to walking. I have always respected our serious walker contingent, and even more now. Walking 13 mpm is a lot harder than running 10 mpm. I'm looking forward to the first "run" on Sunday, so I can take it easy.

I went all the way through your Las Vegas story, and especially enjoyed the Star Trek drink you show. I suppose a few of those and you literally end up in orbit.
And I agree completely. Your dinner companion on day 3 picture (and all other days too) is totally charming.
Howard
Okay, how did you drop 14 pounds since I saw you last? I need the info. If I could replicate that I'd be (1) faster and (2) lighter on my feet and less susceptible to injury.
Rich
Thanks for your inputs and miles. I am so impressed.
Steve and Krista
I wish you three the best in your coming journey together. Being a parent and raising a small person into a happy and productive adult is such hard work, but so unbelievably satisfying. You'll get to experience a few setbacks, but a large number of small victories which will bring you together into a small group which generates pure love, respect, and support for everyone.
Krista Alone
So it's you and me training from zero to January 10, eh? I figure I'll be back running about the time you are cleared to train, so we can let all these fast and fit people go ahead, and concentrate on building for race day.
Best
