. That's were I've been having calf muscle strains and tears since 2004. I'm a total dope. I know biomechanical problems can cause offset injuries, but I never ever thought the calf problems could be caused or enhanced by my high arches and not using the orthotics.
Glad you figured it out and are feeling so much better!
. I'm in full-on Half Marathon training for the Applefest Half Marathon in early October. I'm also planning to get more road bike miles in so August should be pretty productive for me. Hope everyone is well, especially Krista, Steve and Carter!!
. I'm glad the inserts helped, IMO that's a pretty awesome pace considering the extent of your injury! Hope you're feeling better each day!
. Hope you are doing well!!!
Way to keep on Steve. From your reply to Martha, does that mean you'll be at the Disney Marathon weekend?
.
. I hit the track and did a 5 Mile overall run. One mile to warm-up, 1600 @ 8.05, 800 recovery jog, 1600@ 8:37, 800 recovery jog; one mile cool-down run. Overall time was 48:22. It was HARD. The mile speed training is really brutal. Glad it's over
....Applefest is on Aug 4th I believe. I truly hope we get one of those picture perfect fall days!
Always strikes me as odd: Why do we have races of all sorts named by metric distance, and marked in miles ? Why not mark it the way it is named? European Tradition meets American Stubbornness?
Inquiring Minds want to know...
Anyone care to shed a little light on that one ? Or am I the only one that finds it odd?
