Well Here is the fabulous trip report!!!
Whom is going!!
Grandma Dee Taylor, Scott T., Lori T. , Anastasia T., Josephine T. and Nicholas T.

Day one -
We left Phoenix and were on the road by 6am. We planned to leave about 5:30am, but were running behind. We were on the raod 15 minutes and it started to pour rain!!! At about 8am it let up a little and a rest stop was in order! The kids were cold cold cold running to the bathroom!
Here they are in the car at the rest stop!

We all hudled back in the car and started on the road again. It was so cold out. It was in the 50's when we left and only got into the low 60's when we hit CA! We got to the Hojo's about 10 am CA time. AZ is one hour ahead of CA right now. It was so rainy and the trip there took much longer than it usually does. I am proud of myself for not using a map this time !! WOOHOOO!!
We checked in but the room was not ready. the check in girl was way rude and looked annoyed to be working there!
I was preparred for this and packed a seperate suitcase full of just the first day's clothing change. We used there bathroom and we all changed and got our hair brushed and ready to go. It was windy!!! and cold and in the low 60's so sadly they wore jackets all day, or poncho's. The forecast called for a down pour all day. My mil's flight was in, we were waiting for her to arrive at the hotel!

She got in and checked into the hotel. and her room was ready. WHAT!!! So she took her stuff to her room. We were walking to disney by 11:45am!!! OH YEAH!!
We were finally there!!!!
DisneyPhotoImage70.jpg

We walked into Main street. ah the disney excitement set in!!!
We see the characters out, and whom do we see........... DONALD!!! Oh my goodness he has been hard to find on the last trips. Scott was excited and wanted to stand in line. which was short so we waited just a couple of minuites. Nicholas went right up to him! He is getting better and better by the trip!

So we asked Grandma Dee what she would like to ride first. It is her first trip in 14 years!!! It's a small world she says. She is lucky it just reopened the week before after being closed for 10 months!
And yes I made Josephine take off the jacket just once to see the outfit in disney!
IMG_6666.jpg

IMG_6667.jpg

and IASW had it's holiday decorations up and no flower picture!!! I was waiting for it for my CM4M crew!
IMG_6669.jpg

We then headed to Thunder Mountain Railroad!!! Grandma had no idea what she was in for, but she road it!! That was the last time for that ride for her! I took this cute pic of my 2 favorite men while waiting for the ride to finish.
IMG_6671.jpg

it started to rain at this point and everyone got there poncho's on. We then rode Pirates (which is better in DL than DW) , The haunted Mansion and then headed to Splash!!! We got a switch rider and Scott, Dee and the girls went first. Nicholas and I stood in the short line to meet pooh! I love this picture.
DisneyPhotoImage62.jpg

We headed to the exit of splash to meet them!!! It finally stopped raining and did not really rain for the rest of the day!
IMG_6676.jpg

Nicholas arm - haha he was running to hug anastasia!

After splash we all went on Pooh and a bunch more rides. Night was falling and so was the temperature. It got cold. We are from AZ and it seemed really cold to us. We decided to head to fantasyland...
Waiting in line for the Tea cups!!!
IMG_6685.jpg

Scott and the girls went in there own tea cups because they like to spin!!!!! and spin a lot!!!
Grandma Dee, Nicholas and I went in our own!
IMG_6689.jpg

we went to fantasyland and rode a few rides waiting...
We then walked back and found a perfect spot to sit. Dee and I went into get some hot coffee, it was CCCOOOOLLLDDDDD!!!! When I came out the Dream Team was talking to the kids! They told them there outfits were stunning and asked if they would like a special meeting with a princess. We got Dreamed!!!!!!! And I told them it was the first trip in 14 years for Grandma and they gave her a first trip pin and wrote "in 14 years" on it. it was adorable!!

Seriously, I am sure you hear this ALL the time, but your kids could NOT be any cuter! Look at those little faces on all of them! They all have such gorgeous eyes, too! Your little boy's eyes are so big and full of wonder and curiosity, with a little dash of mischief thrown in!! And the one daughter with the piercing blue eyes - my goodness! She is going to break a lot of hearts when she is older! And the other daughter is so pretty, and has a little mischievous grin! Actually, you and your whole family are a really nice-looking, happy-looking bunch of people! It really shows in the photos that you are all having a great time! You know how you can see pictures of people's trips to DLR or wherever and sometimes be able to see in the photos that they were not having fun or just in a bad mood or something? The misery just shines through the pictures? Not so in your case!!! Everyone seems to be in good spirits and enjoying themselves, and getting into the whole DLR spirit!

So, I am eager for MORE trip report!:thumbsup2

Thank you so much. We really do Love Disneyland. It is so much fun. We all have our favorite rides and we all love just being there. My kids are going to be heartbreakers, my husband is already worried!
Disneyland for us is just such an excape of everything. We arrive there and it is like a oerfect feeling comes over us and we just relax and enjoy it all!!
I will add an update today. Promiss

Disneyland really is an escape. A lot of people (not anyone on this board) tend to have the attitude that DLR is "just for kids" or why would you go there if you didn't have kids?" But, as we can see from people's posts DISboards, everyone really has a great affection for DLR. It is like an emotional connection, almost. It is more than just having fun. It's like an escape, as you said. It, for some reason, just kind of infuses us all with magic as soon as we set foot in the park. (I keep saying I think Disneyland is secretly piping something into the air to make us all fall under its spell!) For exmple, if you like to go to the movies a lot and you enjoy that, and then suddenly can't go for a while, you may be a little disappointed but not necessarly sad. With DLR, it is a different story, Being unable to go makes people about as sad as being there makes them happy! It is just kind of a good place to let loose and be silly and eat yummy treats and escape reality. But by the time you leave DLR - though you may be sad - you somehow have a better attitude and better frame of mind to be able to deal with problems in the 'real world.' Things suddenly don't seem so bleak or blah or bad all around! At least, this is what I have noticed.

So, when the subject of whether or not a trip to DLR is worth the money - espeically in these tough times - comes up in other threads, most people on here say yes! It is a lot of money, and sometimes we can't go to DLR when we want to (Lord knows that has happened to me), but I think the happiness and joy that a DLR trip brings to people and the little 'kisses' of magic we get throughout the whole experience make it very worth the money!!

ok.. the day continues....
after the parade we headed to Fantasyland again! Then we went to Santa's Reindeer Round up! there was actual huge reindeer. Outside was a sleigh and yep we stopped for some pictures!
DisneyPhotoImage50.jpg

DisneyPhotoImage44.jpg

DisneyPhotoImage42.jpg

Santa was just a short line so we waited for him! Nicholas was not having any part of santa and refused to go to him.
DisneyPhotoImage40.jpg

DisneyPhotoImage39.jpg

oh and Pluto was there too!!!
IMG_6727.jpg

We rode a few rides and then we knew that Pumpin and Pecan were coming to Santa's roundup and went back to meet them!!!
Off we go....
IMG_6726-1.jpg

We made it in time to see them!
Oh and "Mrs. Santa" and jojo calls her came up to the girls and asked if they had met Santa yet? Nichoals wanted to talk with her too!
IMG_6731.jpg

IMG_6732.jpg

OH and Here is Pumpkin on a "turkey cam" that I guess you could see somewhere on the Web...
IMG_6730.jpg

and here is Pecan!
IMG_6733.jpg

IMG_6734.jpg

Next up... CA Adv.....

Well we went over to CA Adv to have lunch and ride a few rides. First up... TOWER OF TERROR..Daddy, jojo and anastasia went on and then we headed over to eat at the Pier, some got soup in a Bread Bowl - yum - and some got taco's! And look whom was there....
IMG_6735.jpg

I have always heard of the DL cats but have never seen one. This one was very friendly!

Then Anastasia wanted to ride CA Screams!!! She went single rider!
IMG_6736.jpg

And daddy was brave to ride this scary ride!! Far left is him!
IMG_6741.jpg

We walked around the Boardwalk and rode a few more rides. But look at the time!!! Time to go to our Princess meet at Disneyland!!!
We get there and check in. We get inside and whom is there.....
Aurora and Jasmine!!! - warning- the lighting was bad in the little room.... so the pics are not supurb!
IMG_6744.jpg

They spent a good ab\mount of time with the girls and were in character to the tee. it was amazing listening to them talk about magic Carpets etc...
IMG_6747.jpg

Next up.... Turkey Day Buffet at the DL hotel!

That kitty is SO cute! I have heard about the DLR cats and have also never seen one. The one in your pictures not only looks friendly (must be used to dealing with LOADS of people on a daily basis) but also looks quite healthy! His/her coat is quite fluffy and clean! I assume the CM's must feed the kitties and take care of them, because they know they are there. Sometimes I see random ducks waddling around DLR, and I wonder if the cats try to attack them! I hope not! I would like to think that all animals happily co-exist in DLR without any predatory behavior but that is probably wishful thinking!

See, cats are dangerous for me because I LOVE animals and want to cuddle them, and I would be so tempted to want to pet the cat but I am terribly allergic. I am one of those who can detect cat hair even after somone has vacuumed for hours, and if the cat is locked in another room! If a cat comes and rubs on my leg, suddenly my eyelid or my lip or hand swells up and becomes inflamed! I get an allergic reaction instantly. So I have to keep my distance, but I always wish I could pet cats!

This is something that did not exist when I was a kid (talking and personal time with characters at meetngreets and breakfasts etc) and I am so happy for all the kids who get this one on one time. What great and special memories. :goodvibes
