I don't think Toby has any new music out.
I thought Brad and Carrie did a great job hosting I l oved there little duets LOL
Taylor is okay, I don't personally think she in the same league as Kenny, Brad, and there is no way she has paid her dues like George has.
Toby does have new music out, someone else mentioned the song title, American Ride. It's pretty new and we just saw him in concert not too long ago. We left the show after 5 Toby songs, he was totally drunk, to the point where he wasn't even singing his songs, the audience was singing for him. Very disappointing.....but honestly we were there with Trace so we weren't planning to see that much Toby.

But I hope you get to hear his new song soon, it's not too bad.
Well, *I* was really disappointed that she won. This is just MY opinion! She cannot sing without "help"......she may be bringing money to her record label, but there is nowhere near the level of talent that the others have. Guess money CAN buy anything!
She is cute. She is popular. She can fling her head around unendingly. She has not yet done a "Britney" or "Miley."
But she cannot sing.
I'm honestly glad I'm not the only person who feels this way about her singing. I do not think she should have won so many awards, album of the year? yes! video of the year? yes! female vocalist? no, entertainer of the year? maybe, she has done a lot of entertaining this past year, that's for sure.

But I too feel she cannot sign without help. I feel the same way about Rascal Flatts, the lead singer is much like Taylor, cannot carry a tune and sings very off key. I have seen the Taylor head fling but it's not that bad, definitely not as bad as Britney. LOL

I love Taylor's attitude, her positive outlook on life and her positive role model status. I think that's really great, she's showing young women that it's OK to be pretty but not trampy, and she has a lot of talent, she's a great songwriter, just not so great a singer. That doesn't mean she's not good, she's just not great. I will say that I really like Taylor's music, we have both of her CD's and my girls listen to her endlessly. I'm OK with that, but people need to really listen to her actual live singing, it's very different.....you couldn't really tell last night, too many 15 y.o. singing along with her.

But I've felt that way since she was on the CMA's the first time, when she sang "Tim McGraw".
Not one of the girls you listed is a singer songwriter.
She is the definition of a total package, not only can she write a hit song (at her age!) she can and does sing live for thousands upon thousands of paying fans and she does it very, very well.
I'm not sure about your "presents herself carefully" comment. God forbid someone is professional while they are at work! Of course she is?
Both Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood write their own songs, they are both also very talented singers. Taylor just does not compare to Carrie for me, Carrie is much more than Taylor is. I also love Kellie Pickler's music, but I don't think she write it herself.
I truly believe the 4 ladies just mentioned are some of today's strongest country music performers. They show our young girls it's OK to be yourself and respect yourself! I am truly grateful to have them around so my girls learn it's ok to not be like Miley or Brittney or Lady GaGa, that's very very important in this day and age.
I agree with the Entertainer of the Year vs Female Vocaslist of the year distinction. Taylor's open emotion just moved me. I don't totally agree with the Female Vocalist of the Year award, but she definately entertained a lot this year. She said she had opened up for every other person nominated for the award in the past year. If you look at the music, dolls, merchandising, concerts etc she has certainly entertained, in some form or the other, a larger demographic than say, Kenny Chesney. She seems to work very hard, and is a very talented, driven young lady who was genuinely moved by being selected to win such an important award. Very thouching.
I was almost as moved by Darius Rucker's award. He is very talented as well, and his award was more remarkable, given his crossover status, his newness as a "country" singer and let's say it, his race. I say that not as a detractor or to get flamed but simply that to many, country music and it's followers can be perceived as blue collar, middle class, white men and women who yearn for the good old days. KWIM? Truly a recordsetting and emotional evening.
I'm so glad you mentioned Darius!! He's a great guy and a wonderful performer. I've known him for years and I know he's just over the moon regarding his win!!

I know I almost cried for him!
Let me just say it again, I am a fan of Taylor Swift, she's a wonderful young lady and a great role model for my daughters.
