I got my taxes filed, now the long wait for the refund lol

How on earth did you get your W2's, 1099's from the banks, and other financial statements so fast?

If your taxes are done this early, I imagine your wait for the refund will be very, very short..

wow that's great you got them done so early! If you e-filed you shouldn't have a long wait.

We haven't gotten any tax info yet from the bank or dh's W2!

I'm waiting for W2 and dividend statements. I've gotten mortgage interest statements already. I input them into TaxCut as soon as I get them, then once it's done I can file quickly!

You're brave!!! I know several people who have relied on the fact that their pay stubs were accurate - only to find different info on the actual W2's.. Two of them ended up with major hassles, had to refile, and never got their returns until July...

I'm waiting on 1099's and other financial statements.. Then I'll go ahead and file online..

ugh still waiting on w2's. hubby's company mails them out on the 30th normally. taxes will pay for disney in june, so i'm anxioulsy awaiting the arrival of the return so i can pay off the trip!!!!

We owe too! Usually in the thousands. This year should not be too bad - maybe $2,000.

I am pretty pleased with that.

I just filed today...this year the earned income credit lets you allow 3 kids. last year i remember it being only 2?? I am very happy with my refund and should get it in 10-14 days. Then some of it goes to Disney and im all set for my trip in July.

I don't have any of my paperwork yet.

I have to wait for W-2s for both DH and myself.

Also, my parents have some stocks that were purchased with my name as co-owner as a child (so that eventually, I'll get them without inheritance taxes), but I pay the taxes on them now as my name/SSN is first on ownership, so the 1099's come thru in my name. My parent's give me money to offset the taxes, but I still have to wait for the papers - and they never seem to arrive until mid february.

Amen. If I owe taxes when we file, then I won. There's no way I'm giving Uncle Sam an interest free loan over the course of a year.

I'm just waiting on Dh's W2, everything else is ready to go. THis year we are getting a huge return back. We hardly paid any taxes either. Gotta love that deployment tax free pay.

FYI, large corporations are migrating to the electronic W-2s. I got mine last week, even though the IRS didn't begin accepting e-filed returns until the 15th.

I still have to wait for my 1099s, though.
