I encourage all women to protest this but not wearing shirts outside as well. :rotfl2:

I would. Really. But I'm afraid I'd trip over myself :teeth:

Again, I never made a comment on the value and beauty of tattoos or a no shirt look. I just wondered what people thought about someone who never wore a shirt in public. I can see by the responses so far that the casual look of the typical working class man seems to be quite popular among similar working class women on this board.

I still maintain that it is a question the specific subculture (social and economic status) the person comes from.

There are homes in my neighborhood to sell for well over seven figures (I live on the "poor" street). On any give day you can do a ride by I am can assure you will find a man with no shirt working in the yard. Many do have tat's on their arms. Maybe from the military days or whatever but the sport them. I really don't think it has anything to do with "class", it is what people are comfortable with.

Me personally, when I got out of boot camp a group of us was going to get some tat's but I wussed out as I am scared of needles. Still am.

I wonder why the rule about no shirt, no shoes was developed for retail stores. I wonder if it came from people being uncomfortable about other people going around without a shirt because of modesty concerns vs health concerns. Just something to think about.

I suspect people who are out in public without a shirt are from a certain American subculture that thinks this is perfectly fine. I would suspect this is from a working class blue collar subculture. I doubt many Vice Presidents of Finance at a Fortune 500 Company are going to walk around town showing their bare belly and alot of tattoos.

I havent read through all 9 pages yet- however, needed to comment here!

ummmm- who would want to see a VP of Finance at a Fortune 500 Co with his shirt off anyway!?

A Blue collar guy, tats AND A NICE HARLEY! is the way to go :thumbsup2

OK- I will now go back and read the rest of the thread popcorn::

I would post a pic of DH-- but he will NOT allow his pic on the internet...he talks about privacy and stuff?!

I, personally, think he may be wanted :lmao:

How about The Timid TaTas?

Well. That'd be okay....cept my "ta tas" aren't too timid. If they were they'd be on my UPPER body like they're supposed to be. Yep. They're more of the hangin' variety. Of course, what's so bad about all natural hooga ta tas??

FYI...I have a tattoo on my lower back..aka "The TRAMP STAMP" :rotfl2:

Funny Story...when DH and I went away together for our first ahem romantic weekend  together (yes before we were married) i had never seen ALL his tatts..now they are pretty scary..like the row of skulls dripping blood, I wondered if I would wake up alive :lmao:

Oh...and I'd post a pic of my cutie pie DH, but I'm terrible at posting photos. Maybe I'll post a link or sumthin'....

Mine definitely don't need to be bigger...just back on my UPPER body...they seem to have lost their way over the years... :teeth: ..which is why I volunteer to be president of the Society of Hangin Hoogas!

Not a thing darlin' - happiness is what counts with tatas - happiness and harmony.......[can anyone tell me what movie I misquoted that from?] :rotfl2:
