Tassimo (using discs) or Keurig (using K-cups)

Where do you find the best deal on the K Cups? I have been talking myself in and out of a Keurig for a year, and the last few days have been particularly painful.!:headache:

Walmart has the one with the reservoir for $99 with a 10 GC. 18 K cups included.

BB&B has the same for $129 and the basic mini for $79. I have a 20% coupon for them.

Sam's has the one with the reservoir with 90 total K cups and an extra filter thingy-maybe 2. $123.

Walmart nor Sam's carries the K cups. Sam's does online for $34+S&H for 80 K cups.

Target has 18 for $10, so does BB&B..again, I could use a coupon, I get them all the time.

Any better deals out there?

Well we've done the best with the Amazon sales. Timothy coffee (Kona last time) was $15 for a 2pack of 24K cups @. So 48K cups for $15. Regular pricing is like $21 comes to $17ish with auto ship and no shipping charge but is a couple bucks cheaper when on sale. Just be patient they have sales all the time. Comes to around .33 each which is cheaper than BB&B even with the 20% off coupon. Theirs are $10-coupon is $8 but that is only for 18 Kcups so =.44 each cup.

My new favorite flavor is the Island Coconut...yummy! My mom has the K-filter and she doesn't really care for it - says it can get a little messy. And as for the hot chocolate, after it is done brewing, open up the K-cup and dump the rest of the powder into the mug. It is not weak if you do this.

I have the Keurig and I absolutely LOVE it! We have the my K-cup thingy too. The best part is if I want reg coffee and my husband wants Hazelnut we both get what we want. I was actually contemplating bringing my keurig to Disney with me. I love it that much. The k-cups on the Keurig web site are pretty reasonable in price. If you order 4 boxes at a time there is free shipping and also some more discounts. Sometimes I get the 18 packs at Kohls when I have a 30% coupon. They are usually $9.99 (like BBB) so they end up at $7 for 18. Like others said you never get a bad cup of coffee!

I have the Tassimo (I got it as a Christmas present one year). I use it when DH is away. I like that I can Starbucks for it but I hate that I have to throw those one use disks away. At least if they could make them out of recyclable material I would feel better about it. I would love to have something I could refill and use again.

Thank you! I am sure the 90 cps that comes with the Sam's bundle will last awhile, although there is probably some hot cocoa and tea in there, too. I think I will run out and get this for myself for Mother's Day...;)

My grocery store (Weis) has a Keurig machine on sale this week for $89.99 and they have a $10 off coupon, too. so, $79.99. The box said it was the "classic" model. Is this a good deal? I forget if it came with any k-cups. I was shopping with my 4 year old. I'm lucky I gathered this much info! ;)

I currently have a senseo machine, but I think it makes pretty terrible coffee. I'm ready for an upgrade!

We love our Keurig. Hubby loves the dark roast K-cups while I like the herbal teas and the pumpkin spice coffee. It has been well worth the money for us.

Thanks for that. I've been waffling on buying the Keurig. DH doesn't mind day old coffee but I lothe it. I also would love the hot chocolate, so the kids could make it themselves.
Another reason for the Keurig then. My son is 5 & loves to make coffee for us with the Keurig. He can manage the entire process by himself. The Tassimo is a bit more fiddly.

Please be warned....I have yet to hear of anyone who likes the hot chocolate K cups. Tastes nothing like hot chocolate...it is VERY weak!
Actually I said in my post that I liked it :). I may be the only person on the planet that does, though. I don't find it weak and what I like about it is that it's not very sweet. I actually enjoy that in a hot chocolate. When I want the high octane stuff I'll break out the Italian hot chocolate & the whisk but for a quick chocolate fix the K cup stuff is perfect.

Just a head's up that this flavor is only available at this time of year so stock up now!

I think that this is an awesome deal & I'd jump on it. Ours is the pretty basic kind that makes 2 different cup sizes & honestly we only use the one size.

I've been getting my Kcups via the Green Mountain's cafe express program. boxes of 24 cups for 12$, free shipping when you purchase 4 boxes of Kcups. Plus cash back through sites like Ebates & fatwallet.

I still make a regular, old fashioned pot o'coffee every morning but the Keurig has been so wonderful for quick coffee whenever. And if I could find one of the new, smaller ones inexpensively I'd bring it on vacation with me in a heartbeat!

I bought it today! $79.99 for the machine, coupon on the box for a free box of 12 K-cups, and another in-store coupon for $1.00 off K-cups, so I snagged a second box for $4.99! I made my first cup and I'm already in love! :surfweb: Thanks for enabling me!

What store did you buy this in? I'm just interested because of the price of your K-cups? Let us know how you like it? I'm sure you'll love it!!

This was at a Weis grocery store in PA. I think they are only in PA. The normal price was $7.29 for a box of twelve, they were on sale this week for $5.99 a box and I had a Q for $1 off! Seemed like a good deal to me!

That's a great price! I do not like strong coffee at all. So I like the Caribou Daybreak and also the Green Mountain Nantucket Blend. I recently received mine as a birthday present. So I haven't tried out all the flavored ones yet.
Have fun experimenting.

I just bought the Tassimo for my friends wedding gift at Bed, Bath & Beyond. I have had mine for 3 years and every time they visit they both have to have their "FIX" Chai Latte for her and espresso for him!

$169.00 Tassimo machine
-$33.80 (20 % off)
-$20.00 mail in rebate offer
2 Free packages of T-Discs

TOTAL $115.20 plus the free discs....that's a deal! :thumbsup2

I'm in PA. Do you remember the end date on the K-cups sale. I may buy myself one tomorrow. :goodvibes

Love our Keurig -- we buy k-cups by the case (of 80) at BJ's. I run just hot water thru it to make tea or hot chocolate. Quicker than the kettle!

OK y'all, I did it. Here is what I bought Tuesday:

I got an Elite Keurig at Sam's that came with 90 K-cups (only about 6 were tea or hot chocolate, the rest a great assortment of coffees.) and a water filter system. $123.00

Then I went to BB&B with my 20% off coupon and bought a caddy (net $16) and an adapter for regular coffee-$15.

Big investment, but I am loving it already. I couldn't use it the first day because I had to fast for a blood test.:guilty: Do you have any idea how hard that was to smell DH's freshly brewed coffee and I couldn't have any? So today I had THREE cups. (one I used the adapter to brew my Dunkin Donuts coffee) They were ALL great! DH isn't that impressed, apparantly coffee quality isn't that important to him. I keep telling him to tell me if one of the samples tastes really good, I can order more. He says, "it's coffee!":confused3 He IS amused with the process, though..

I wish my Sam's carried the K-cups, but I have enough to keep me busy for awhile. I am going to keep an eye on the sites y'all have posted and maybe order from them.

I am LOVING mine and it's only the first day I have tried it!!
