I don't think we do anything crazy AT Disney because usually I try to have it all paid for before we arrive. I have yard sales and sale on Ebay to fund my trips though.

We literally put all purchases on our Disney Visa for the rewards. There are better cards we should be using that you could use the rewards to buy Disney gift cards, but there's something about seeing the Disney rewards balance grow and thinking "That's $x,xxx off my next trip!". For work trips I put everything on my Marriott card though, but then that can be used for stay at Swan and Dolphin.

Instead of material gifts for holidays the hubby and I gift each other Disney experiences. We are at the stage that we don't need or want anything so a Disney experience is perfect. It also helps us experience new things in the park. Some of our gifts in the past: parasailing, cabana rental on a cruise, a cruise, dessert parties, tours so they run the price spectrum. I have a milestone birthday next year so we are planning Paris and hitting the parks there too!

I can't think of anything in particular that's out the norm except I used to get some odd looks from co-workers when I was planning for a Disney trip that included a Disney cruise and would say months ahead of time (spring and summer cuz we always went in late fall/winter) that I needed to start hitting the goodwill store near my house for 'cruisewear'. for some reason that particular store would get an abundance of nearly new (maybe worn once/some still had the sale tags from the stores) women's and little girl's formal wear. I attribute the little girl's to being flower girl dresses and such, the women's looked like something you would wear on formal night on a cruise or maybe to a fu-fu fancy event. no way I was going to shell out hundreds on dresses I/my kid would never wear again when I could get them for pennies on the dollar.

The thing my husband thinks is craziest is collecting DGCs to pay for DVC dues. I don't think that's crazy at all.

I save every £2 coin and cash them in for $ every time we go. Never amounts to much but it makes me feel like I'm achieving something
