I actually like both. They do carry different types of merchandise. If I had to choose just one it would be Wal*Mart though.
I can go to Target and shop all of the aisles and end up buying nothing - that never happens at Wal*Mart.
I love the product at our new Super Wal*Mart - we don't have a Super Target.
Of course I am in Arkansas - the home of Wal*Mart - so our stores are pretty spiffy. The newest one is red brick and is actually a very nice looking building.

When I saw this the other day, I jumped right in and voted for Target.
I go to Wal Mart a lot more than Target now. Haven't been to Target since I did back to school shopping. Was just at Wal Mart today!
