I just bought a whole new wardrobe at Target for about 1/4th the cost that i would have spent at Express or Gap.

And the clothes are nice too.

I was just "bragging" to my DH the other day that Target doesn't even make you have your receipt in order to return a product, at least not if you paid with a credit card. Apparently, they can look it up in their computer and credit your cc for the price you paid.

Maybe things are different if you paid cash.

I LOVE Target...I'm usually there every Saturday at 8am!

Before we moved this summer, I hardly ever went to Walmart. I like the Super stores and there is no SuperTarget here. So I go to SuperWalmart. If they made the Target here a Super, I wouldn't go to Walmart at all.

I like them both though I lean towards Target more. The kids love Target (mainly for their pretzels, LOL)

I normally go to Target because it's closer to home, but when I need a specific item I'll go to Walmart since I know I'll have a better chance of getting it there due to the sheer number of items they carry.

I don't go to Wal-Mart anymore but when I did I always liked Target better anyway. It just seemed cleaner. Everytime I was in there I would just have the thought that if they wanted me to buy baby stuff they should make the aisles wide enough for a double stroller.

I have never had a problem with returns at Target. Thursday I took back a grill that was broken after one week, lost receipt, and I had paid cash. I got a new one with just my ID.

There's a super- target (I guess that's what you would call it) by my house and OH MY GOODNESS! They even have Starbucks inside! I will love Target forever. :teeth:

HATE WALMART! I truly truly truly hate Walmart.

I love love love Target.

We must be thinking of the same Walmart LOL. The one I go to, probably once or twice a year, is so crappy! The aisles are crowded, stuff is everywhere, I can never find what I need, there are never enough registers open. I dread going there but DM wants me to go sometimes to help her when she needs to get something big or a lot of stuff. She usually has to bribe me with lunch or something to get me to go LOL

Don't even get me started with Kmart.....I hate it!!!! We have one 5 minutes away and I refuse to go there.

On the other hand, it's a really good thing the nearest Target to me is about 25 minutes away otherwise I would be there all the time! It's always clean, no lines, the people there are so much nicer. I think they even have better quality merchandise than Walmart.

I LOVE Target - I'm there at least once a week. My local WalMart is too crowded, the parking lot sucks (plus, the employees all park in the front spaces), the employees are not friendly, I always have to wait forever in line at the registers, and even the customers are rude.

Target is clean, the staff is friendly, and they have really cool stuff. The only time I've had to go to WalMart in the recent past was to purchase a trifle dish. Target doesn't have a large serving dish selection, unfortunately.

What are these stores? :p Both are very inconvinently located for me, so I never go. But then, I don't shop much. I get groceries at my commissary, where it's much cheaper; haven't bought clothes in forever (a friend is lending me all the maternity clothes I could need); and all my DVDs/books/games come from the entertainment store I work at, of course!

I HATE WAL-MART!

The terrible Wal-Mart experience starts in the trash-filled parking lot, with carts parked everywhere EXCEPT in the corral areas.

You have to drive around for 10 minutes to find a parking space and then walk 10 minutes to get into the store.

Once inside, the place is cluttered, pallets of "STUFF" in the aisles, 50 cash registers, but only 5 of them are open, even though customers are waiting 20 minutes in line.

Their produce is horrible - I can't tell you how many times I've purchased produce that turned out to be over-ripe.

I avoid Wal-Mart like the plague.

That is sooooooo not fair!!

You mean to tell me you can get a Frappuccino AND walk around Target - all at once???? I want one!!!

Usually I go to Starbuck's, then take my Frap to Target with me, but to just do it all in one place?? Maybe one day :p

I love Target.. worked there as a manager for 3 years! It's a great company. I have to admit though, I do enjoy going into WalMart too, but buy much more at Target!

you must know the walmart near me!

Another target lover here!

The Target in our town is only a five minute walk for me! I'm there at least once a week...much to DH's chagrin. I haven't been to Walmart since the first month we moved here.

To top it off, during the hurricane scares, when everyone else was fighting the crowds at Wal Mart, I went to Target, got almost everything we needed, and had to wait in line maybe 2 minutes! Gotta love that!

Voted neither.

I only go to Target for 2 reasons......1) to get prescriptions filled and 2) to get **** (insert product here) that DW insists is on sale. As for Walmart, I've been in them twice.

I generally shop at the Meijers near us, but not their groceries (I do that at Kroger).

Another vote for Target.

Of course we pronounce it TAR JAY. Cleaner. More "open" registers. Groceries. Starbucks. Great wooden (sturdy) generic kids toys.

Wal-Mart. They do have cheaper prices sometimes...but oh, the insanity:crazy: They have about 25 registers, and only 2 are open. It takes about an hour to get through the line. If I don't have produce, I sneak to jewelry or photo to check out. IF we have to go I'll call my DH while waiting in line to tell him I'm being held hostage by Wal-Mart.

Okay, my Target story...when we first moved back to TX, the (then 2) kids & I visited my folks in Austin. My dad, my DS3 and I went to Target for some shoes for my son. All of a sudden someone got on the PA. A tornado was heading towards the building. They directed us to the center of the store. The employees were great. They passed out coloring books and crayons to all the little ones to calm them down. They helped us open up some of the bedding packages to cover ourselves. Someone stayed on the PA and gave us a play by play. It touched down on the field next to us, then jumped over us:scared1: This was the same storm that wiped out Jarrell.

See, even tornados like Target better...that's why it was spared.

Wal-Mart lover here

I hate Target like the plagued. The Target which is close to my house has the worst parking lot in history. The cars is so close together it's funny.
The Target is all ways high in prices.
