Target 20% off coupon

Did you ask to override, or did they just do it because they know you?

I would never ask to override. He did it because we are there every weekend, i asked questions about it and we got lucky. He also said something about the amount we were spending there.

Like i said .... It IS possible so ask questions. I tossed the "entertainment card" line out there too.

But didnt make a scene or argue. It went way smooth.

We got our Christmas miracle early.

My Daughter who works for target advised that this will not work with the 20% off coupon. . .

Seems like that is the case for most everyone who has tried.

Be persistant! We just got $1050 worth of disney cards for $800!!! Today it certainly paid to be a regular every sunday target shopper! The manager did an override and we got it!! So it IS possible!!

The manager will probably get written up for that. A lot of us are regular target shoppers, but would not want to put anyone's job in jeopardy for doing something that clearly one knows shouldn't be done. The 20% was never intended to be used on the cards.

Oh my goodness. Let's not make PP feel terrible and accuse her of jeopardizing someone's job. Let's just be happy for PP or not.....and move on.

Purchased a couple of cards on Friday to get the coupon at full price (no red card). I'm returning them if it's not going to work. I'll get them at SAMs at 7% off instead.

I have a feeling that even if they do the Facebook coupon again this year, it won't work on Disney cards. Two years ago it worked on target GC and they caught up for last year. But I bet the bean counters saw the spike on Disney GC and relabeled them this year.

This worked for me without a hitch in Westland Michigan. The trick is you need to grab all different types of Disney card types and sizes in the store. Some came up with discount some did not. Some cards are Entertainment Cards and Some are Gift Cards. But the manager has the option to ring it up with 20% across the board. This manager was very nice.

We were able to buy $8,000 in cards!

I felt like crying when I found out it didn't work! Like you, i was planning on getting several thousand dollars worth. I bought just a few hundred instead and got 10% off using pharmacy and red card rewards. The other god news is that the pharmacy rewards seems to work with the red card and 20% off on regular items, so almost 30% off.

So, just want to make sure I understand . . . if I do 1 large transaction with merchandise and Disney gift cards, the merchandise will be 30% off with Red Card and pharmacy coupon and the gift cards will be 10% off. Did you do 1 large transaction with merchandise and gift cards together or break it into 2 transactions? I'm not sure it matters really - just wondering about the best approach.

The manager who helped me was not willing to let us use red card. Basically said they couldn't stack.

How wonderful for you!! YAY! :cheer2: Can you share how you did this? What do you mean by "different types of Disney cards"? Different denominations? Thanks!

I also got the 20% coupon to work by having a manager override the transaction. I even got the extra 5% red card discount. :cool1:

I agree. Be persistent and be NICE!! I politely explained that normally the Disney cards are classified as entertainment cards and NOT specifically excluded as gift card or names GC such as iTunes. The system would not accept the full discount manually, so they had to process it as multiple discounts in amounts of $50 each. (I think the system has a limit of $100 for a manual override?!)

I apologized profusely for holding up the line and expressed my sincere gratitude for her efforts in getting my transaction to go through.

Good luck to everyone else trying to use their coupon.

What's the deal at SAMs club? We're just getting one onto our area early next year!
