If you spend $75 at Target on Black Friday you will get a 20% off coupon to use on one purchase between December 1st and 7th.

I don't see anything to indicate that you can't combine it with the 5% off with your Redcard (or even with the pharmacy rewards if you happen to have one). Sounds like you could save a lot with this offer.

Absolutely it should be no problem with using the red card. You could have an issue with the pharmacy rewards as this is typically a coupon - the system might not take it.

Regarding gift cards, it should work, however the problem is you have to do it at one time. Your red card (or the manager) could give you an issue as the coupon will more than likely specify no gift cards allowed, even though the Disney GC is considered merchandise by Target's POS.

Definitely thinking about it, if i get to spend $75 at Target... Hmm - maybe I'll buy a couple of GC...

Hoping for their $10 off $50 coupon again...

We're buying a bunch of Legos to give to underprivileged kids as we do every year anyway, so we will certainly be giving this a shot!

The ad did not mention any restrictions on the 20% off from Dec 1st to the 7th except it has to be one purchase. Does that mean we can get say $500 in Disney gift cards at 20% off or do we have to wait until we get the 20% off coupon on 11/29/13 to see if any additional restrictions apply?

Please post back here on Dec 1 whether this works or not. I sure hope it does. Thats a huge discount!!

Wow! We leave for Disney on Dec 5. Already have a RedCard! Can't wait for update info!

I think there will certainly be restrictions. Most companies like Apple require their products to be sold for a certain price without discounting. They do allow the merchant to give bonuses or packages, but not sell them at a different price. If you see coupons from Macy's, they always exclude Levi, Coach, Ralph Lauren, etc.

We'll see.

Be aware that with a new debit red card there is a limit. I was only allowed to do about $250 per day. As you use it and spend more they increase it, but if you are planning to buy a lot of gift cards, don't be surprised if you can't...

I got a new debit red card today and I bought $300 in cards without any problems.

I really just meant restrictions on buying Disney gift cards and combining it with the red card 5% off. I'm sure there will be restrictions on other things. I'm just hoping to save some money on the cruise!

So, does the offer indicate that the 20% is only for one item? If so wouldn't that mean it could only be used on one $50 entertainment card? I hope I am wrong about this!!!:confused3

Looking at that link it clearly says not for gift cards. As good as that deal sounded I don't think it will work.

All of the deals say that, yet the Disney GC's always work. Again, the Target computers do NOT read them as gift cards.

Sent from my IPad using DisBoards.

Many times, employees will say that the pharmacy discount will not work for the Disney gift cards. But as previously stated, they are in the merchandise gift card category so it does work. To prevent an issue, I plan on adding an actually item or two to my purchase along with a large gift card purchase. I doubt that they will then say anything as they will just scan everything.

It looks like it will work. I say this because it specifically states apple, but no other cards. We will have to see. It certainly will be much easier than so many transactions with the holiday offer of last year.
