hi all past and present disney brides.... Our day is booked for April 2015 and I'm feeling a little disappointed with our planner and I'm not sure if t his is normal or not. i should start by stating we live in australia so all communication needs to be one through phone and email with the planner.... we had our initial meeting 6 months before date so back in October which went well but i was under the impression i was just giving ideas as i had so many and that we would talk again to ensure my thoughts and ideas hadn't changed....looking at the timeline a week or 2 ago we realised we were yet to receive our estimate we emailed and received it 3 days later our minimal amount is due this week....we have also asked for another phone consult and a site visit or face to face with our planner be organised when we arrive in orlando 3 weeks before our wedding date and have been told this may not be possible....i'm feeling in a bit of limbo having never done this before as to what expect to come next am i suppose to be talking to my planner more often? is she suppose to be checking in with me as well? what is normal to expect of a disney wedding communication? i just don't want my disappointed to be un needed or ruin my disney imagine if it is me misunderstanding.

many thanks to you all

Call or email your planner about the beo and go over whatever questions you gave or clarifications you need. 3 weeks before the event is not enough time for them to make sweeping changes. You should by this time have a good idea of how the day will proceed. If you don't, you need to find out so nobody has big surprises in late March or April. By the time we had paid our minimum expenditure, we knew almost exactly what would happen our wedding day, down to the minute.

We are having a wishes wedding.....minimum deposit is paid and we have a telephone appointment on Monday but we have also asked for a face to face and a quick loil at the venue when we arrive and have been told this is probably going to be impossible I don't know if I should be doing more or if my planner should be doing more with keeping up to date. I'm excited but also a little fearful *** I don't feel like I know what's happening in the day

I'd send her an email today with all the questions you have, make it really clear like this:

1) What time is
2) Who will
3) Where is

That way she can be prepared for your conversation on Monday.

Then on Monday have a print out of your questions and go through each one so you get an answer. If she says I'll need to get back to you about question 2. Make a note. Then straight after the conversation e-mail her again and say thank you for the chat I feel much better now, I look forward to hearing the answers to questions 2, 4, 7. Or words to that affect.
