We are going to celebrate our 15th anniversary. Any tips on how to get the cheapest room? I don't even know where we want to stay. Value, Mod, Deluxe, if the price is right I will look at all.

I have an AP, and our family will be there in Sept. so I guess we could book at bounceback.

Thanks for your help.

That part of Feb. is still value season in the value and mod resorts. If you want to book now the best deal you can get is the AAA discount, that assumes you have a mambership, it will get you 20% off the room only.

If an AP rate comes out you can always change the ressie.

I read on here how people are getting AKL for $170 or so a night. I will gladly pay that for AKL. Can anyone tell me how to get such a great deal? And are there any other great deals at any other resorts?

A reminder- I have an AP and also a Disney Visa holder.

I'm not sure about the rates, but that will be right after the Super Bowl which will be in Tampa. If you can decide where you want to stay, I would book it soon before the football/tv people start making their plans. I've heard that someone has already blocked out some rooms at the GF.

I plan to fly out on Feb 8, 2009 for a Honeymoon/Family Vaca. my first choice of resort is Saratoga - would anyone know what I will be spending I cant seem to get any rates for that time yet. Is this high peak season?

What are the perks for honeymooners? If any.

Actually no, this is value season (as far as 2008 goes, usually it's only off by a day or two) but your cutting it close. Peak season started 2/14 this year.
Disney also changed it's pricing structure. In the good ole days if you checked in during value season, you're entire packaged was priced at value season even if some of your days went into a higher season. Not any more. If you are staying 3 days in value season and 4 days in regular or peak season, that's how you will be priced.
A studio at the SSR resort will run ~ 290/night, a 1 bedroom ~380

Are you being married at WDW or using their wedding planners? Perks for special occasions unfortunately are up to the discretion of wdw. Some times you get a really fantastic cm who will try to make it extra special, some times you may just get a "congratulations". Most folks will get a birthday button or a cupcake or some other small token for free if you want some thing special guarenteed, your best bet would be to arrange (& pay for) it.

That's a hard one. Some folks will recieve the elusive "code" that gives 30-40% off rack rates.
That's a pretty big pet peeve here on these boards as some people will visit multiple times over many years and never get a code. :confused3 Your AP will usually give you a 20% discount but you won't know until a little later. I would book whatever room rate you are comfortable with now, and then if a good AP rate comes out you can always book that and cancel the original.

It's not an exact science and a lot like predicting the weather. Some folks will book a room a little more expensive and hope a code comes out.

Keep your eyes on this site and mousesavers.com. Usually they'll be the first to list discounts and codes.
