I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

Has anyone that has stayed at the hilton at Tokyo Disney tried buying stuff in the shop and charged it to your room? I don't mean the lawsons/family mart, I forget which it is, but the one that has the Disney stuff in it?

I realized last night that I should have asked, since that's a resort and used very little of my credit. We'll only need 2 nights there, so I should have the full credit to use.

ETA found on flyertalk from earlier this month, no you can't. Understandable but a bummer. I'll just get some expensive cake at the little bakery 😂

Also read a review on someone's blog that says there's two lawsons at the hilton which I don't think is correct, anyone else mentions just the one.

There are now 2 Lawsons. I think they opened the new one to deal with overflow during peak times. It’s to the left of the gift shop with Disney stuff, kind of in an inconspicuous spot. I would have missed it if DS didn’t see it,

Haven't bought gift cards almost the whole month of June. Was hoping for a Visa promo for this week so skipped the MC's.

Hopefully we will have it for next Sunday.
@bbsearchlight posted in the gift card thread that they were fee free at Staples this week on Visa's.

Yes, Visa gift cards are fee free this week (6/22 - 6/28). It is in the weekly ad, around 3/4 of the way down (I have also attached it).

It used to be much easier to see the Staples weekly ad but sadly, they recently they got rid of the print view which makes it more difficult to find anything and also took away the ability to see the add before Sunday (when print view was available, you could see the ad the previous Thursday).

Thanks for finding it and posting!

Did AmEx stop referral links for the HH Surpass card? I tried sending a link from dd-->me so I could get a Surpass (I've never had it before), but a message popped up saying she wasn't eligible.

Amex doesn't always let you refer from all of your cards. They can come and go. There was something on r/churning in the last week about amex referrals but I think it was someone posting that the offer changed or the link went away.

So often lately, I feel like there's a better public offer for Amex or the need for an nll that I haven't used one or looked for one of mine in a long time.

Need help with next card. Have a $4k insurance bill coming up.
I just got CSP bonus so ideally DH turn. He has 2 Chase biz, CS, & CFU and Amex BCP. Last card 1/2025 and he's 1/24 overall.
Not sure if we should just go for another Chase biz or something else. Ideally flexible points as our next big trip will be summer 2027 for DS graduation but he hasn't decided where yet. Any votes for Venture or should I start accumulating United miles (SW pretty useless now) for future trip which can hopefully be supplemented by transferring URs also?

CSR possibly when they announce the signup bonus? You mentioned CS which I’m assuming is a sapphire but supposedly they are removing the rule with only holding one sapphire card.

Rumors are that the new CSR won't have the 48 month rule, however not sure there's much value with the new 'coupon book' structure of the card. I find URs incredibly valuable, since they transfer 1:1 to Hyatt as well as Singapore Air, Flying Blue, United, etc. With your uncertainty about the big 2027 trip, I'd be inclined to apply for a new Ink card, giving you max flexibility for airfare and Hyatt rooms. I have heard rumblings that Chase might move towards PUJ a la AmEx, so if you can meet the spend on a biz card now, that's what I'd do..

The high end cards we don't find useful, plus it's been less than 48 months. His CS was formerly a CSR.
So this is the normal sapphire? I was curious if I should downgrade my CSR to that or another freedom. Can you transfer for the regular sapphire and how much do you earn for dining?

I’m leaning towards another Ink as well.

It’s the OG Sapphire. It has 2x on dining; no transfer partners; DoorDash credit and that’s about it. We don’t use it much, so if you’d use another Freedom I’d go with that. Between us we have a Freedom, CFF & CFU and never max out categories.

Yep just saw thanks I literally copy and pasted 😂

Chase Bonuses: 200k Chase Sapphire Reserve Business, 100k + $500 Chase Sapphire Reserve Personal

Hmmm, maybe I could be tempted to have one more year of CSR. The $300 + $500 travel credits in year one covers the AF with 100k URs on top.

Of course, doesn't mean chase will let me have one.

The $500 is for the portal and it's use it all or lose the rest. The r/churning link with the hacked link has all the info.
