I am sure this subject has been gone over many times, but I couldn't find one, so figured I would start my own.

Anyway, we are considering taking our lunch into the park each day, to save money obviously. How much is allowed? Can we take a small soft sided cooler with sandwiches, little bags of chips, couple apples, water, juice boxes?

We figured we will save $200 a least for the week by doing this? We will already be eating light a light breakfast in the room and will do all dinners at counter service or sit downs.

Any thoughts? Is this too much?

I don't think you would have a problem with a small cooler. I would put it inside a backpack though. They only glanced at our stuff very briefly when we were there last year. Not only will you save $, you will save time bringing stuff in!

We will have a stroller with us, that has a VERY large basket in the bottom. So, we figured it would go in there. I guess if they have a problem with us bringing stuff in, we will just eat a snack in the park.......which we plan to do anyway (gotta have our Mickey Bars and Dole Whips) and then just eat lunch once we return to the resort early afternoon.

You should have no problem bringing in food. We saw some mighty large coolers going in when we were there in Nov. You may have to give the security guards some payola though...no, just kidding. They usually say "mmm, that looks good. What do you have for me?" They are very good natured about it.

Oh yeah, with a stroller, you'll be fine. I used to carry snack stuff, drinks and so on when my kids were little and we lugged the stroller.

Now that they're older, I make them each carry their own water bottle, and I carry a backpack with misc. items (camera, wallet, ponchos, etc)
