This evening, after I take the kids to soccer, I'm going home and grilling steaks and enjoying a glass of wine (or two), and then I will go to bed.
I'll talk at ya later.

iltHave you noticed when people start denying rumors it just makes the stories grow bigger? Honestly though, we just haven't had much time for DIS'ing since we've been home - especially since our power was out for over 10 hours last night/this morning. And it looks like we have the possibility of similar storms again this afternoon/evening. Oh joy.Originally posted by ibouncetoo
So, Nephosaurus, what did you get for your sister? Is that what the secret is? I don't know, I think we may be on the right track with our guesses, notice no one from that household has DENIED anything!
llebrekniT Abbie had it last year. Doc gave me a handout but said there's nothing you can do to prevent it, nothing you can do to treat it, and she didn't even have any symptoms other than the distinctive rash. I thought she was flushed. Doc said "Nope, it's 5th's disease" and that's about it. She said something like 75% of kids will get it at some time or another....funny thing is, I worked day care/preschool for 7 years and had never heard of it!! We got all kinds of things (lice, ringworm, chickenpox, etc) but never heard of 5th's Disease until Abbie had it. We weren't even there for her...she came with me to Walt's 1 year checkup...Originally posted by llebrekniT
I am off to do some research. I think Holly has 5th's disease. Anybody here had that one before?
God no! I am NOT preggers! If I was, I'd SURELY be in the loony bin before the bundle of joy arrived anyway!!Originally posted by geffric

Wow! Never heard that one....but never had to find out about these things before....I guess that could be me, too.....I drink LOTS of dt. Coke...about 4-5 cans a day...but each one only has 1/2 the caffeine of a cup of coffee, so I guess it's only like 2-2.5 cups of coffee....how much were you drinking?Originally posted by deadheadbelle
PD to you, kadaten! I hope everything is OK. I had what I thought was a lump a few years ago. Guess what it was! Too much caffeine. Yep, I was so stressed out. Quit drinking caffeine, no more lump.
