Tagliarchy Island Part 2

Good morning everybody!

Last night we set up the little pool I got for Ella. I put her in it and she just stood in the middle and laughed for a couple minutes. Overjoyed she was. It's small, about 6' wide and it can be filled up to 15", but I only put about 8" because 15" puts her head underwater when she sits. Aren't I a thoughtful mom? And guess what? I took pictures! I'm off to get them developed today! You know what that means....

Trust me - Disney Sing-a-longs with the live characters! Especially the DisneyLand one.::yes:: Do you guys still need that one? Getting it copied is still on my to-do list.

And another thing, about your shopping aversion, I think we may need to find an on-line source for you. It's fun to go shopping and everything, but sometimes it's even FUNNER to sit at home and order up a buncha stuff from the internet. It's SUPER FUN when the delivery truck pulls up and brings you stuff! What do you think? My favorite places to order on-line from are LL Bean, LandsEnd, The Gap, and Old Navy. It's trial and error at first until you learn what sizes you need from each one.

Hey Danauk, I found our little pond on-line. I need to get some cobbles to go in it. Wonder where I can order some from?

This is from our Christmas trip with the in-laws in 2001. Isn't it great?

Ella bug is up! Too early I might add. Guess I need to start getting busy.

See ya!

Well for a teeny-tiny pond it sure is BIG! Grrrr, why is it so BIG!

Remember when I told you guys that there was a character one time who visited a little too long with my shoulders?

I found the picture - at first it was just a friendly shoulder rub -

But then he stayed around for a little while -
f89ce722.jpg

This is me trying to ignore him because I want him to go away now. I swear he hung on for quite a bit. There was a long pause between pictures. I know, I'm paranoid, but I know of someone who was once a Chuck E Cheese who shouldn't have been and the image has stuck with me.

:wave2: Good Morning!!

Luckily, I didn't have any nightmares about those horrible clowns, but I dreamed of something which may have been even worse....I hate even thinking of it...AAAh

Okay, I'm good. Well, I'm going to get dressed and then I'm going to watch the first LOTR because, hehe I've never ACTUALLY seen the first one, just the last two... :-/ hehe

Then me, my parents, and my brother are going out for a nice lunch together. Then track practice...check in later this afternoon!

I have a recurring dream... I am all snuggled in my bed, and this RRBB and a couple of Dragons come over to smother me in kisses. I usually wake up during this, but I do enjoy it thoroughly.....

:bounce:

Good Morning everyone!

I think I am going to buy the new Alanis Morrisette CD today.

Now that you know my plan for the day, what's yours????

I need to figure out where we are going to stay in October. Need to talk to mom & dad & see how much they want to spend on accomodations. hmm, I dunno.

Have a great day!!!

You're such a good mommy, not letting the water go above Ella's head. ::yes:: I bought a couple of small pools last summer to use when all the family was in town - a one ring and a two ring, not sure which one because we had a 9mth old and a 2 1/2 year old staying with us. We never used either of them last year, but they're planning to come stay with us for a couple of weeks this summer so maybe...

Now for the shopping thing. It's not so much that I don't like shopping. I just hate clothes shopping. I did manage to get to a mall for about an hour yesterday though. Didn't find anything that I liked, as usual. And I don't see how people can order clothes online. I HAVE to try clothes on because I'm so hard to fit. I can spend hours "shopping" for other stuff though. (My favorite online store for scrapbooking is rockymountainhobbies.com because they have a great selection, no sales tax and FREE shipping. Trust me, my CC hurts after I order from there.)

Nope, never found that Sing-Along-Songs from DL. Would love a copy if you ever get around to it, though.

Okay, I just have to say this. My first thought when I saw this was, "Why is llebrekniT posting a picture of a bed pan?";)

Wow, mine had something to do with kissing too, but, oh the horror....

I'm always going to stay at the same hotel everytime I go to Disney, until I start going on my own.....The Yacht Club

::yes:: Okay, I really need to go now.... :wave2:

Dragon and Wife kisses are OK, (So are Mommy and daddy kisses)...But YOU ARE TOO YOUNG TO BE DREAMING ABOUT KISSES FROM BOYS!!!!!!!!! (lol)

I would not scoff at the Yacht club (see snob test) We like BCV, and that is connected to the Y&B Club. It is also staggering distance to Epcot, and walking distance to MGM. IT is much nicer than the Value resorts.....we went to a wedding there a year ago... (see RRBB post on the gift getting there at almost a yar.....)

Oh well, gotta scoot for now... I am excited... 1 and a half days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Must get new batteries for My Pal Mickey..... I know where something is that RRBB will be looking for... the belt clip thingy for him. I have decided though, that the water bottle holder works better.....Have to buy one.....

Oh, and Thanks for the room service.....

Where should I get breakfast today???

Red wine and dark chocolate -- part of a balanced breakfast.

:teeth:

Okay, what's tonga toast?

It has come to my attention that some of you are hotel snobs. ;) I respectfully submit my "hotel snob" photo (circa 1990)--I think I was ordering my usual champagne and caviar:

BTW, that was the Grand Floridian--back when it was $200 a night, and I thought we were commiting a mortal sin by spending that much on a hotel room.

LLEBREKNIT, I know what you mean. You half expect a "kick me" sticker on your back when the character leaves. ;)

I wasn't the one doing the kissing...but how I wish I was :lovestruc ;) Hehehe. No, but seriously, it was a bad dream. Ahhh.

Well, my parents arn't exactly the WDW lovers...actually, they're quite the opposite. So, the only time I get to WDW(actually, March was my first trip there in over 13 years) is when my dad has to go to the conference they hold there. We never went before because my dad just got a new job....and now I'm sad because I know what I'm missing!!! But, once a year is better than a lot of my friends. The conference is always at the Yacht Club, so that's why it's where we stayed. Actually, I was really mad because on the last night of the conference, the company rents out part of a park, and I thought they were going to rent MGM because that's what someone told my dad, but last minute it changed to Universal Stuidos, and I've yet to go to MGM and I was so disappointed.

Must pull self away.....aaah

Morning all.

So I have to confess, I've been driving Joe nuts all week by being cranky to him. I've had a constant, chronic cough, a sore throat and an earache which leads to mild headaches. So I've been feeling a bit like a pile of poo. And now, I'm limping around the office due to a mild case of gout in my right big toe.

I'm a friggin' mess.

Sorry Joe!

Anyway, I have a lovely story to share with you guys. I left work about an hour early yesterday. I wanted to take a nap since I'd been a bit lousy all week.

Got off the express subway at a main hub station in central Queens, waiting for a local train to take me home. All the trains on both sides of the station were zipping through and not stopping. "Weird," I thought to myself.

And then some cops were speed walking down our platform, went upstairs and down onto the platform across from us. At this point, the station was PACKED since no trains were stopping to drop off or pick up anyone.

The cops starting shouting and waving their hands that we had to leave the platform calmly but quickly. We moved up to the next level and the cops followed, this time more aggressively and adamantly shouting that we were to leave the station entirely, get up on street level and leave the general vicinity.

Some bozo shouted something about a bomb then a number of folks started pushing and shoving to get out. Most everyone was keeping everyone else calm and collected.

Was evacuated into an area of Queens that I didn't know. Had not clue at all how to get home. Was basically stranded in NYC!

Called Joe who of course started worrying. He checked the news but found nothing. I asked a cop near the station and he confirmed that there was indeed a bomb, or at least the threat of one, and I should leave the entire area!

So I walked quite a few blocks, talking to Joe on the cel, him keeping me calm, my keeping him calm. Strange but neither of us were particularly over the edge. We both thought about terrorists and other stuff and even mentioned it, but we didn't get into it.

Well, I got lost but within a minute, I saw a towncar livery cab which stopped. Got home safe and sound.

But I tell you what, now that it's over, I was a tad freaked out, thinking something horrible happened in the subways in Manhattan, thus shutting down the system, or that a terrorist had hidden a bomb in the station that I was standing in, or something awful.

We need to move.

Rick, how strange--I have a sore throat and feel like doo-doo. I had to pick up Hunter at school yesterday and rush him to the doctor. He has a bad ear infection. And I've spent the morning bickering with Rob and in a bad mood.

A scare like you had really puts things into perspective. Makes you realize how stupid our bickering is.

Glad it was just a false alarm.

Prayers going out to FloridaCat.

Have a nice weekend everyone, off to the neurologist with DS. What fun we have on a Friday!
