Hi all, I just got caught up..... Rick, no costume are really necessairy, but they are fun. You did such a good job last time that it would be a shame. You could go as straight guys... actually, a t-shirt and low-rider pants; you could go as a construction worker or a plumber. If you went as Clark, Joe could be Jimmy Olsen (all that would take would be a camera.....

You could go as an alien (dress normally and tell everyone you are an alien trying to blend in. I once saw a flasher that had on an overcoat and had a slinky secured to the correct spot.

I once went to three halloween parties in that many days, I needed a different costume for each. My favorite was that I went as a chemistry prof. Full faced wolfman mask, Satin Cape with red lining, tux shirt and jacket, top hat and cane. it sounds weird, but it came of friendly and creepy...I really looked like one of my college chem profs.....

Won't admit to the worst costume though.....

see ya around.....

Cadburysmom, I have heard of Paris, actually, I've been there a couple times. I used to have a camp in Bethel and Paris isn't THAT far from Bethel, and so I've been there a few times.

L.L. Bean, gosh, I've been there so many times I can't even count them all! Especially when my grandparents from the Cape come down, we always have to make a day trip up there. Actually, my great aunt(who actually lives down the street from me) has a two sons, and her oldest owns a restaurant not far from there. We're still planning when we can go and dine there...hopefully sometime soon, I love eating out!!

Am I talking to myself as well...?? :-/ (why don't we have one of those guys?? The, I'm not sure what to say/do/I'm kinda upset/sad smiley...hehe)

uh huh, right. Just like my DH said no Barney. We have all kinds of the big purple dinosaur movies. I wouldn't change it for the world. My baby likes Teletubbies too and while I think it's STUPID, it makes him happy and that, my friends, is what it's all about!

We have lots of Disney movies too, but they get tired of it and want something different that they can relate to and at age 1...they really don't relate to story lines. Tubbies are 30min of nothingness that peeks their interest and it allows me to do other things. You'll see.
Okay, one of these years we'll just see who has to eat her words. (And it won't be me!) Hopefully by the time we have any munchkins roaming these halls the T's will be passé anyway. But in anycase, I'll stock up on all those Baby Einsteins, those are supposed to be good for little ones. I know I spent quite a while mezmarized watching with my, then year/year-and-a-half old, nephew one time when I was visiting him. I bet the same holds true for his little sister when I go out next month - she'll be 17 months.

I was wondering the same thing....but thought maybe it was something to do with me being younger than most here(actually, make that ALL)

Holy cow! Did you like Thirteen? I thought it was a good movie. It was rated 'R' wasn't it? I don't think you are supposed to see rated 'R' movies. However, I think it is a movie that a young lady should see so that she does not follow in the lead characters' footsteps. Am I right??? You are a good girl (and so is oddball27 & TalkisCheap), right?? Poor DH was a mess after watching it. He is scared to death about raising a daughter.

lol yes it was rated R but i did see it, and i liked it. And no, i would never do the things that tracey and eevie did (lets make a luke sandwich!) ...i am a good girl. really. ::yes:: lol im sure your daughter wouldn't be like that...you don't live in L.A. ... :p

:wave2: Ohana, we won't be at 'ohanas until 5/30....:teeth: We know what you all look like....you have seen NC Beast-but the Dis community photo board is not working.:p

Anyone got any good ideas on running a campaign? Sam is running for office at Girls state. Nothing can be prepared by computer. It all has to be made that week-poster boards etc. But any ideas that can make her stand out? I thought of buttons but can't find a cheap button maker. Help! Or a good campaign slogan?

make big bold letters, so you can see them from anywhere and make it really neat

sam has the right plan
