Oh yeah, :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: kadaten's gonna be at the TAG MEET!!! I'm looking forward to meeting you in October.

Well guys, read up to page 400...but only skimmed so may have missed a few things...

PD to everyone who needed it! And a hearty "WELCOME" to our newest TAGLIKANS!!

We had a FABULOUS trip! I promise to post pics and details in the next few days! Abbie was already asking to go back as we drove away from the hotel this morning :) That's my girl!! Walt was OK...not quite as good as he was in December, but the in-law's kept him 2 afternoons/evenings so we could take Abbie back to the park for more stuff like SpectroMagic and Wishes (both way too late for Buddy to stay up for) and they kept them both so we could eat and shop one night at DTD :) Gotta love those in-laws!! More details and pics to follow!

Mad4Mickey We stayed at AKL in December and loved it! It is further away and doesn't have any cool transportation (monorail or boats) so you will be on the buses quite a bit. Quick ride to AK (of course) but a little longer to the other parks than from other hotels. BUT...it's so beautiful, neat, comfy, different, etc. that I think it's worth it! Would have loved to do the safari but it wasn't in the budget.... At least split your stay and do a few nights there.... And you MUST try Boma for breakfast and dinner! YUM!!

Lewski and Barb How goes the plans for October? Where did you guys decide to stay? Which days are you arriving/leaving? My MIL who will be watching the kids is very flexible (not working) so she can come up any time!! I'll be flying out of Norfolk, VA on Delta since we have some Delta $$ to use... Tickets? What are your plans? I can get you discounted tix of any sort at SOG, even if we don't stay there! 1-day/1-park ticket is $51, 4 day PHP is $202, 3-day length-of-stay is $162.... any of those what you were looking for? If not, let me know what is and I'll get you the price! I'm SO excited :) :teeth: :Pinkbounc :hyper:

Morning all,
It sounds like some of you had fun last night.
Welcome back kadaten it sounds like you had a great trip. Please share some photos soon.

Today I have to take the :cat: :cat: to the vets for their yearly injections. However the vets does not open until 1pm so I have to keep them inside until then! Not easy, they have both been in all night like they often do and now want to go out and play!

ohanafamily and RRBB it sounds like you had an interesting evening. I'm sorry you didn't make the wedding, but at least you had a nice dinner.

So does anyone have plans for today? I guess I just have to sit around until the vets opens, then have a little food shopping to do and need to practice for my sound of music audition at the theatre tomorrow. The song is really hard to sing and how anyone who does not read music is going to sing it I really don't know!

I guess I better go and feed the :cat: :cat: inside

Oh I forgot to say llebrekniT I'm glad you got your water feature finished. You'll have to take some pictures to share. I took some pictures of my garden I just need to load them onto the internet.
We still have our other water feature to finish now which I will do when we have a week off work (we have 3 more weeks off school and then another week off). We plan to re build the waterfall into the pond by making a brick wall the same as on the rabbit hutch and run.

I'm still waging war of the silbing kind but things may just be getting better

:bored: :bored: OK I'm bored again!! DH has gone to his opticians appointment and we realised that he would not be back in time for me to take the cats to the vets. As I can't get them in their baskets on my own it will have to wait until next weekend! So I let them out. Figgy is out playing, Cheeky ate his breakfast and then came back in and is curled up on the soaf asleep (he is a very lazy cat!)

So now I have to wait for DH to come back so we can go to the supermarket. I did my internet food shopping order which will arrive Monday night so I need a few bits and pieces to last us until then. I had wanted to get out in the garden again today to do a little work on the grass to get rid of the weed problem but it is raining again!!
My parents just phoned though, they got home from Paris this morning and I haven't seen them in ages (about 5 weeks). They are coming to visit in a few weeks time :) My dad likes aircraft and we have an air museum about 45 minutes from us which we are going to take him to. We took the kids last year and it was really good. There is a concorde there which you can go in and a B52 bomber which is huge. I think my dad will like it.

Oh well sorry for rambling on, like I said I am bored!!
I guess I had better get on with some house work, these floors are not going to sweep themselves!!!!

Morning all. I haven't read thru the billion pages I missed yesterday but will try later. Had a horrible day yesterday. The bp med the doc put me on has been making me sick and my bp go straight thru the roof along with my pulse. Called the doc cause took my bp it was 151/108 pulse 161!! Yikes. He told me to come right in. Had an abnormal EKG went to the ER by ambulance 911 the whole works. Talk about a stresser. The baby was home with my son, sam needed to be picked up at driver’s ed and my dh does not have an easy commute home-he slugs-long story. Soooooooo to make a long story short, I spent 10 hrs at the docs and they didn’t do one thing for me. Wasn’t a heart attack-they think- no new meds etc so I need to call my doc back this am and see what is next. Anyway, gonna go lay down. Still tired from yesterday. Will try to pop in later.

Oh and to top it off. When we went to pick up my car last night from the docs parking lot, someone hit it!

I'm so sorry Cheeringmom :grouphug: :flower3: and
PixieDustTommyGun.gif

( at least someone was LOL)and I am sure will tell you all about their adventures...

(maybe not ALL about the adventure but MOST of them.. Tee Hee)

For us, the boys have the dentist this am, then off to meet the rest of the boy scouts and doing the scouting for food pick up and delivery.. then a scout service project.. pick up flowers for my mom and then we will go over the my parents..

Plus meal plan, Grocery shop, clean, laundry.. I am out of town all next week so I need to make meals for the boys for the week..
anyone need me to cook or bake for them let me know..I am in the kitchen..

ohanafamily I sent you a PM.
RRBB I tried to send one to you but your box is full!!

Cheeringmom, that is horrible! I hope you feel better. When you first posted about the heartburn and the trip to the hospital, I was wondering if your BP was so high because you obviously were scared and nervous.

A couple years ago, I noticed DH's hands were a bit shakey. Seeing that he never went to the doctor, I made him go. His BP was 170 over something. He's now on two different meds and it's pretty much under control. But it took a while to get the meds right.

I think it's hereditary. I have a 25.9 BMI (which means I'm pleasantly plump :teeth: ) and I never watch my sodium intake, and my BP is 105 over something or other. It doesn't make sense. LOL.

Warning: The following could bore the heck out of you if you are not going to meet in October.

kadaten !!!! I'm so excited.
:jumping1: That is great news!!! Here is some of the stuff Lewski and I have talked about:

1. We have a room booked at POFQ for Sunday 10/10 to Wednesday 10/13. I think we got that with a AAA rate.

2. Lewski found a website where you can buy a two day park hopper for around $120. Do you have an AP?

3. We were talking about doing Epcot on one of our full days, going back to the hotel to take it easy, then going back to Epcot in the afternoon/evening for food and wine fest. We thought we'd eat and drink our way around WS. pirate:

4. We also talked about doing MK on the other full day. Don't know what we'd do that evening. If we get the hopper, we could do MGM. (Hey! I've never done Fanstasmic or whatever it's called--there's just an idea!) Of course, the two evenings could be switched around.

5. We are doing breakfast with the whole gang on one morning.

6. We are doing PI with DHB on one of the evenings--could do this on the MK day too. All those things we can figure out when the time gets closer.

7. We're both still working on our flights. We are trying to decide what to do about transportation when we get down there. It would be GREAT if we all flew in without a couple hours of each other. We could get a town car with a grocery stop. Another option is a rental car, with the first person in picking up the others at the airport and the last person out dropping off the others at the airport--another logistical nightmare. LOL.

Got an ideas?

Good morning everybody!

First of all, Cheeringmom that is so completely awful! I am so sorry you are having this trouble. Did they take you off the med? Is there any way that this could be caused by stress? You have such a busy life and all and now with the move coming up... Anyway, take it easy for a while. Rest can do wonders. And now I will worry about you constantly, you must check in with us every few hours or else tell us in advance that you will be too busy to do that. If I don't see you in here, my mind will start producing all kinds of bad scenarios! Hey, did you get any cute doctors or EMT's at least?<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_9_3.gif' border=0></a>

Have you ever messed up the lyrics of a song?

Uh, I thought it was about a, um, brothel. And do I ever mess up songs? More like ALWAYS! I'm terrible at lyrics. We needed DHB in here for this one. She knows everything about music, she would know for sure what the song is about. I'll ask DH too, see if he knows for sure. They're about the same when it comes to musical trivia.

I was just thinking about you last night, wondering if you shouldn't be back by now. Wait until the orange sisters<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_4_44.gif' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_4_44.gif' border=0></a> here you can go. They will be sooooo happy! I am too! Can't wait to meet you!

NC Belle love your new avatar! Maybe you should change your name to NCAriel...

Danauk, the water feature is flowing, but it ain't pretty yet. (Is ain't a word in England?) We need to finish the landscaping around it. Your poor cats! They don't want to get "injections". Over here we call it immunizations or actually, just shots.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_2_1.gif' border=0></a> I am wondering about the air museum. My dad loves them! Anyway did I ever tell you that my cousin is stationed in England right now? He is in the US Air Force, a pilot. He left last spring and was to stay from 2 to 5 years. I don't know exactly where though. Anyway, he had just been promoted to instructor, which with things the way they are right now, made me very relieved.

Gotta run. I'll be back in a bit!

All this discussion about the TAGLIARCHY meet at WDW (which by the way I am NOT repeat NOT the slightest bit envious about really :sad1: ) got me thinking:

QOTD: Who long do you usually go to WDW for on each visit?

As we are from the UK and it takes forever to get there - we have to go down to London the day before, stay over night in the airport hotel then have an 8 1/2 hour flight! we like to go for about 12 nights (plus 2 days traveling). Which is why we can not go very often!

I'll jump on that question real quick, then I need to get busy.

We usually stay 6 nights, but one time we stayed 8 and that was just right.::yes:: I really think it's best to stay at least 8. I think a certain personthatlivesinNYC is staying for, like, 10 days on his next trip! Color me very jealous!<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_6_217.gif' border=0></a>

We go for 2 weeks every summer... we drive down for 20 hours..takes us about 1 1/2 days ..
This summer it is 1 week at BCV and 1 week at OKW

I'm sitting here drinking my breakfast smoothie (milk, plain yogurt, wheat germ, strawberries and raspberries). I have to make up for the sins of last night. Man, was that beef good--and I don't do deck of cards-sized portions either.

We are going to the farmers market this morning! :Pinkbounc Anyone want me to pick them up some kettle corn? Ivy geranium?

QOTD: We usually first visit Rob's parents then we do WDW for a few days.

1989 - 2 days
1990 - 3 days (honeymoon)
1991 - 3 days
1992 - 5 days
1993 - 3 days
1995 - 6 days (trade show)
1996 - 1 day (principal visit)
1998 - 4 days
2003 - 7 days
2003 - 2 days (last minute trip when we were on interview)

I'm envious! I'd love to do this with the camper. It would take us about 21 hours. :( How do you keep sane? ;)

I would love to be able to go every year but it just is not possible. When we went last year the air fair was £620 ($1113) per person (we had to pay for 4 but our friends used their DVC points for a 2 bedroomed villa at the BCV so we didn't have to pay for accomodation.) We were lucky though as I booked the tickets 10 months before we flew. A few months later the price went up to £850 ($1526!) per person and didn't come down from that!!
