Hi cadbury'smom. After DH and I got married a friend of ours met a girl. And it seemed that everything we did they did, we moved, they moved, we got a pet, they got a pet. We bought a house, they bought a house. We had a baby they started trying. I tried to keep up the friendship as she has some serious mental health issues but it couldn't survivie and we only see each other on kids birthdays etc. The big problem is we love her husband, he is such a sweet guy. My DH always thought he married the first girl he had "relations" with and figured he couldn't get anyone else. That's why we try to keep some contact. This poor girl has some really serious mental health issues so I can understand stuff but it did hurt my feelings.

Maybe you should have told her that. I'm sure she'd never ask to join you again. :teeth:

I'm keeping him mornings this week cause his baby sister has been sick. She was born with a hole in her heart which the doctor's said would close after a while.,,, I think we might be in need of some pixie dust::yes::

Oh no. I hate hearing this. I will put you guys in my prayers and here's some pixie dust (and anyone who wants to borrow the tommie-gun for cadbursymom, help yourself, just hang it back up above the fireplace when you're finished).

s&ksmom congrats! I bet she'll have lots of fun this summer.

<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15_1_70.gif' border=0></a> disneyluvers! Swap boxes are on their way! What's going on in your neck of the woods these days?

I have a question - I'm assuming that not everybody will get their package on the same day. Do we report what we got when we open or wait until everyone has received theirs so we don't spoil the surprise? Most of mine have the same things, a few people got a little something special meant just for them and the rest of them got something else. I just ran out of time (or so I thought) to get something special for everyone. The one's of you who don't get something special this time, I have made a note of it and planned to get something special for you on the next one. If I had known that the swap would be delayed, I would have gotten everyone something special. Don't be offended, I just thought I had better get it in the mail, didn't want to be late with my package and hold up the swap. Little did I know then.....

So do we keep our traps shut, wait until everyone has their box, tear into them and shout out the contents?

Gotta run, sounds like Ella is unloading the dishwasher!

Note to self: need to buy an axe for trip, takeover a certain tag. site, ....

Prayers and Pd to all who need it .....

:wave2: RRBB

Do you or anyone else know anything about layouts? I can sorta layout a newspaper page but I volunteered to be the go-between for the yearbook committee and the printer. (Why on earth I decided this was the major way I would help the 6th grade parents group is beyond me.) I'm between a rock and a rock here. I can't find any good sites and I don't really have too much time to look.

Josh has one of two major field trips tomorrow and I still have to go to the school to fill out yet another medical form or he doesn't get on the bus at 6:15 AM. Sheesh I keep telling myself I will not get in over my head but I keep thinking that I alone can get it all done. Not! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, back to playing phone tag with the school and the printer over a newly enrolled 6th grader...(poor guy - only 28 more days of school left and still many activities planned - he's gonna feel so lost).

I agree and vote we keep our traps shut, etc.... until everyone receives their box. That way it won't ruin the surprise for anyone. This is so exciting......I can't wait!!!!! :teeth:

PS - thanks for the PD!

cadburysmom - one of my biggest fears every time we plan a trip to WDW with the in-laws is that Don and NP will want to join us.

Don't get me wrong, I would never want to deprive anyone of a trip to WDW. But they would use and abuse MIL so badly and I know it would ruin everyone's trip. Whenever there is a ride that one of the little ones can't go on, two people always sit out with them. MIL rarely ever volunteers, she enjoys the rides so much. I know they would push the kids off on her and she wouldn't get to have much fun. Plus they would go out every night and would ask her to take the kids.

Glad you found an "out" on this trip.

Thanks for the PD :)

Oops, gotta put Alex down for his nap...getting a little cranky here

Cheeringmom  how scary!! Glad it was just heartburn!

QOTD:

I do NOT say y'all!!! I am a "you guys" kind of Yankee! i.e. "What are you guys up to?"

s&k'smom, I love MA accents. We have a principle in Lowell MA. Everytime he calls he says "Hi Bob", and I say "no, this is Barb", and then he says "That's what I said--hi Bahb.".

Oh and llebrekniT, you bet your bippie that I'm siding with Lewski!! She's my roommate. I don't want her to stick my hand in warm water when I'm sleeping! :teeth:

:earsgirl: I think I know what I want to be in my new career goals: A Disney trip planner, Minnie Mouse or another character at WDW, or a new superheroine using weapons like s'llebrekniTpd tommy gun or a super computer geek:tongue:

Hmmm.... I've never successfully used the "gay" thing as an out. I've tried but to no avail. Friends, "What are you doing tonight?"

"I'm going out with the boys."

"Yay! Can I come?"

 So much for boys' night out! LOL!

So, now, what the heck is an NP?

NP = Nancy Pants - An obnoxious (preferably a SIL) whose name is Nancy.

TB has one, I have one and was it Cadbury'smom who has one?

Actually, mine isn't so bad. She has a very sharp tongue and she can be a bit intimidating, but she also can be a lot of fun.

Well, I was layout editor of my eight grade yearbook. But that was a loooooooong time ago. What exactly do you need help with? I can try to give you some ideas I guess.

Hellooooooo...anyone oooouuuuut there? :rolleyes1

I'm booooooooored...

Where is everyone? :confused3

:cool3: Don't you just love this smilie dude? :teeth:

Good evening everyone, you guys have been chatty again, it's hard to catch up!! I also vote for keeping quiet until everyone gets their boxes. I'm affraid though if I don't get mine by Friday it will be Tuesday before it will be delivered as it is being sent to work and we are not open on Monday (sorry guys!)

So my story about the zoo. This is actually a friends story but so funny.
He works as a youth group leader for teenagers with behaviour issues and had been running a club for them. As the club seemed to be helping them they asked if they could go for a day out somewhere. It was decided to go to the local wild animal park (where you can walk around and the animals are in fields not cages so you can get up close to the animals.) When they got there the kids were allowed to go around in groups. There were no complaints about them and every time the adults saw them they were being well behaved. At the end of the trip they met back on the coach and my friend just commented on how successful the trip had been when they heard a commotion at the back of the coach. He went to investigate and to his horror found that the kids had stolen a king penguin!! (I mean these things are not small, so how they got it out of the zoo when you go past zoo keppers at the gates on the way out I do not know!) So my friend had to take the penguin back. He just walked up to the gate, held out the penguin and said "I think this must be yours"!!! Luckily the penguin was OK and my friend learned never to take teenagers to an animal park again!

It sounds like quite a few of you have NP stories, I don't I only have 1 SIL and she is great (I am an only child with no cousins!). DH has 2 cousins who are our age and are married. They are a little strange (OK my MIL's brother and his family are a little wierd.) They are only allowed to marry people in their church and at the cousins wedding we had to sit on the 'outcast table' as we were not follows of their religion!

Well I guess I better go back and read some more posts, I only skimmed when I logged on.

Oh I forgot to say, Cheeringmom I'm glad it just turned out to be heart burn. How are you feeling now? I hope you feel better.

" Don't you just love this smilie dude? " Not as much as my fav.: :space:

Well catch y'all later
