Before any of you ask, no, my ticker is not a mirage.

DH announced he does not want to return to Disney soon.

Mid-June is Sweetie's 10th b-day.

We (meaning she and I only) are going to Disney for the 7 for 4 deal in the beginning of June.

We decided that since I love Disney so much that I could take each child just before their 10th birthday as their b-day gift that year!!!

Ohhhhhhh, NICE! :cheer2:

They're just going down to Cozumel; they leave tomorrow night and are back on Monday, so it's a one-port long weekend type deal. This is like the 3rd cruise they've been on!....they seem to go every year now. When I was down there, we were talking trips and such, and I mentioned that DH and I want to do the Disney Land-Sea package for our 20th anniversary in a few years. He tried to tell me that we've "seen Disney" and should do a "regular" cruise instead, for the whole time..... I didnt' try to explain any further.:sad2: Dad!....there is no such thing as "too much Disney!"...:rotfl:

I did say, however, that I thought the land-sea package would be good for first-time cruisers, that way we wouldn't be "stuck" out there for a whole week if we didn't take to it (do you feel the boat movement much??....I know on my dad's last cruise they had a stormy day and he said he could feel it....:crazy2: ).

.

On DCL, I only felt it the first night and on a really rough day at sea. The longer the cruise, the more you get used to the rocking (and the longer you rock when you get off the boat.)

There are often great last minute discounts for cruises (not Disney) if you can leave at a moments notice. Another perk to living down here in FL. Though I never can leave at a moments notice.

Good morning everyone. I'm leaving for daycare in a few minutes. It was 15 below when I got up. Brrrrrrrr

Good morning ya'll. I hope you have all gotten off to a good start. :goodvibes

Hi Smiley!...Hi Sadie!

I'm finally able to get on here. I'v noticed that when the temps go down to the single digits, or even low teens, my Internet is sketchy. It was 3-below when I got up....

I'm off to brave the frigid air to go grocery shopping. Food calls!

Chat with y'all later!

Hello all. What's up?

My plant is eliminating seven hourly jobs in the department. I will lose three employees - two of which are totally worthless anyway and one I really need and will miss. The good thing is they get to transfer to other jobs instead of being laid off. But of course there are all sorts of rumors about impending layoffs for everyone cause the company isn't doing so well. But what the heck, we work in manufacturing - it's to be expected. I don't want to lose my job but I certainly can't sit around and worry about it. I just hope it doesn't happen before my Vegas trip. :rotfl:

I go shopping tomorrow. But I won't have to brave those kind of temps. But we did get down to the low 20's last night. But ya'll have to remember that we are not used to dealing with low temps. I don't even own a coat. I have jackets but no coat. We even had snow yesterday. Wasn't even expecting it. I was sitting on the sofa reading and I just looked out the french doors and it was snowing!! That was a shock. Big fluffy flakes. It only snowed for about 30 minutes but it was really nice while it lasted.:goodvibes

How are things in your world today? Is life back to normal?

Hi DO. :wave2: I hope your job isn't affected in anyway. But I do think your attitude is a great one. Its the way I try to see things as well.

I hope you enjoy your morning.

I will keep my fingers crossed for your job. I feel so bad for people who are getting laid off. We had a plant in another town cut 200 jobs. That was after cutting more than that less than a year ago. There are a handful of stores closing in the city near me. People are having a difficult time finding work. There has been talk that my husband will not get a raise this year. I'm not complaining. At least he has a job and I'm grateful for that.

Oh and it's warmed up to 15 which is far better than the 15 below it was this morning. At least the sun is out. :)

Sounds pretty bleak at your work. I hope you are safe. Since I work in government, we're up for more possible cuts in the next budget. :scared:

I just want to thank all you people up North for making me happy to be down here. I'll come back and read this in the Summer when I've had enough of the heat.

I have a friend who works for the government and she just got her raise with an additional cost of living adjustment. :confused3 I was surprised. Guess it depends where in the govt you work.

You are welcome. Glad to be of service. :rotfl2:

Good evening ya'll. I'm just checking in while I wait for supper to finish cooking. Hope you all had a day. :rotfl:

Here's a story for all of you to enjoy.

I had DD2 in the tub tonight. I had just finished washing her when I went to make her sister get ready to join her. Then I hear DD2 say, "Mommy, get my fart out of the tub." I walk in the bathroom and say "What?" She points to a floater in the tub and says "Get my fart out of the tub." :crazy2: I got her out, stuck her on the toilet (again - she sat there before bath), and cleaned up the nugget. Then I yelled to her sister to start the shower in the other bathroom because this one was shut down for toxic waste. :sad2:

I had just finished giving her the "You need to poopy and potty on the toilet so we can see Mickey" speech. Guess it didn't work.
