Um...

Every kid is different? :scared:

No, in all seriousness, hon, I don't mean to scare you. Every kid is totally different, and I just noticed three was much worse than two. Now there's a lot of factors that go into that, not only do we have childhood development progressing along course, and a desire for independence, we also have a DH and a DS whose personalities are very similar. And who but heads. Frequently. God bless him, he's a great father, but my husband and my son are so alike sometimes that I have to stop them from fighting. No joke. Fighting with the almost four year old. Yes, you read that right. Lord help me when I have a stubborn teenager and and even more stubborn husband on my hands. If they don't turn me gray early, it'll be a miracle. :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: Since my DH and DD9 are the same way, I totally understand. Though it can be hard not to get in a screaming match with my 9 year old since she just starts yelling rather than get told she's wrong in any way. (Kind of like DH.) I just get my hair colored to hide the greys.

TINK - I second the food and also suggest a helping of sports. We have lots of sports teams down here including spring training for many major teams. It's a sport lovers dream. Though that may not make it quite so appealing to you. :confused3

Hi Mean Queen!!....:wave2:

It's weird having you just check in the evenings!....how's work going these days?

Hi! :wave2: It's weird just checking in during the evening. I try to read posts when I can on my iPhone. But I've been busy lately. Tomorrow is supposed to be one of the coldest days of the year. Just my luck I have a shoot scheduled for the sensible sprinkling video I'm working on. I plan to bundle up and bring extra clothes in case a sprinkler gets me. :crazy2:

Oh, and DH is in Hawaii. I'm not. :sad2:

Well, it's snowing here. Again. Just enough to make the roads slick. But we weren't supposed to get ANY from this storm, so even a dusting is too much.

It's funny, I was catching up on a blog that I follow on Blogger, and the gal and her family live in Orlando. She had posted some pictures from a recent trip they made to Daytona to the beach. They are all bundled up in these pictures, and then she points out the guy in the background of one, sitting on the sand next to his truck...in nothing but shorts....Oh, and it was 53 degrees!!! I'm sorry but that's COLD for shorts! :scared:

.

Oh, and DH is in Hawaii. I'm not. :sad2:

That is so not fair.

We started a "psuedo" Weight(input rest of name here) Loss program at work. Everyone pitches in $5 and whoever looses the most by May something wins the kitty. Its about $90 now. That little bit of money may help me loose some weight. Last year this time I started dropping 4-5 pounds a week without trying. Last April I had found out that I had Type 2 Diabetes. I gained all of that weight back. I am so mad with myself because, even though I lost weight because of disease, I was proud of myself. I looked better. Oh well, new year.

I agree, not fair.

I really need to get in gear and start losing weight. I just love bad for me food too much. Though I am proud to say I have not caved on that last cupcake in the kitchen. :scratchin

I have got to get in the eat better/lose weight groove! It's a double-whammy for me because I love all the bad-for-you stuff and I really struggle to be able to exercise in the winter. In good weather I have no problem getting out and walking 2 miles, and I'd like to kick that up to jogging this year. I was reading something just yesterday that gave me a wake-up call with my heart health, too; I have several of the risk factors and my family history is a big "?" because I was adopted and no one really kept those kinds of records back then. But my BMI is 27 when it should be under 25, my waist is over 35", and even though I haven't tested recently, I know the last time I had my cholesterol done, it was high. Oh yeah and I'm over "thirty-ten"....:rolleyes1

However I did finally find and order a mini exercise trampoline! It will fit in my living room in front of the tv (must watch tv if I'm torturing myself indoors) and slip right under the couch when not in use.

Now, about the eat better part......

.

Tee hee. We have a light dusting of that nasty white stuff on the ground. DH and the kids are at school.

My district canceled today.

Tee, heee, heee, hee. This is going to be a great day.

Four words.

Debt to be repaid.

Just sayin'. ;) ;)

The man has resolve of steel. You have no idea.

Oh wait!...I've got it!! You park the U-Haul where you can cover and disguise it as a room in a house. Then, you load up a wide-screen tv, couple of reclining movie-theater-style seats, mini-bar and loads of munchies....and hook up a 5-dvd player with all his favorite sports games/commentaries/montages. By the time you get to Florida, he steps out to a kinder, gentler climate and it's a done deal!:lmao:

(I know that was very long and involved but I'm rootin' for ya, hon!!...all the way!!!)

.

You know what's funny? I know about 10 men this would probably work with.
BF would look at ONE thing (the reclining movie-theatre-style seats that he wants so much that I don't happen to want in my living room) and he would say one of the following:

1. What do you want?
2. Who are you and where is my girlfriend?
3. Are you moving out?

:rotfl:

::sigh::

If only wishing made it so. Case in point:
*the man doesn't like baseball or basketball
*the man doesn't root for any warm weather teams - he's a Pats fan and/or a Bills fan

I, however, used to be a Bucs fan, way back when I first fell in love with football. When Warren Sapp moved on, so did I. Petty, I know. Now I am a hardcore Pats fan all the way.

I think I'm going to try to convince him by showing him how much cheaper it would be to cruise (the man loves him some cruisin') when one can simply drive to Miami or Ft. Lauderdale or Cape Canaveral. ::yes::

It's Tinkerbellarella time!!!....

Tinkerbellarella, tinkerbellarella, tinkerbellarella with a baseball bat...!

:confused3

Sorry, I got a little carried away there.....:flower3:

*sigh* indeed.....well, I tried.

The ONLY sports team I can even start to get excited about!!:cheer2:

Heck they even leave out of Tampa! (just another option for ya) Matter of fact my dad & his wife leave tomorrow for a cruise and it's out of Tampa (they live just across the Bay so this is very convenient for them). I'm not even sure I know where they're headed?....hmm, must make a phone call, me thinks.

Yes! I'd forgotten about Tampa!
Sadly, though, I believe we're stuck here in the NE weather.

Before any of you ask, no, my ticker is not a mirage.

DH announced he does not want to return to Disney soon.

Mid-June is Sweetie's 10th b-day.

We (meaning she and I only) are going to Disney for the 7 for 4 deal in the beginning of June.

We decided that since I love Disney so much that I could take each child just before their 10th birthday as their b-day gift that year!!!

Well, at least we can commiserate. :lmao:

That sounds great! I know if I had a monetary incentive, I'd be more motivated. :thumbsup2

I'm the same way. During these colder months, I find it so difficult to stay motivated, whereas once the weather gets warmer, I'm outside walking, to the gym, no problem.

The man has resolve of steel. You have no idea.

That's because he's the Man of Steel.

Duh.

But you're his Lois. Surely something can be done.

:yay: That's a great birthday gift! For them and you! :goodvibes

LegoMom - so where's your dad going? I have cruised out of Tampa since it's right here, but I prefer Port Canaveral of course.

Tink - sorry your BF isn't feeling the warmth of moving down South. You wouldn't be alone in your love for the Pats and other Northern teams if you were here though. Most times, the Red Sox fans outnumber the Rays fans. :sad1:

Amanda - sounds like a good deal for you and Sweetie! We were thinking of taking DD to Disneyland for her 10th, but we're thinking it may be too expensive. I found out today though we can book Bay Lake Towers for stays starting after Aug. 4th. So I may book her birthday as our first BLT stay instead. :cheer2:

....

They're just going down to Cozumel; they leave tomorrow night and are back on Monday, so it's a one-port long weekend type deal. This is like the 3rd cruise they've been on!....they seem to go every year now. When I was down there, we were talking trips and such, and I mentioned that DH and I want to do the Disney Land-Sea package for our 20th anniversary in a few years. He tried to tell me that we've "seen Disney" and should do a "regular" cruise instead, for the whole time..... I didnt' try to explain any further.:sad2: Dad!....there is no such thing as "too much Disney!"...:rotfl:

I did say, however, that I thought the land-sea package would be good for first-time cruisers, that way we wouldn't be "stuck" out there for a whole week if we didn't take to it (do you feel the boat movement much??....I know on my dad's last cruise they had a stormy day and he said he could feel it....:crazy2: ).
